Gon stared at the glowing numbers on his character's status screen, his eyes fixed on the change. Due to the new level, His XP count had reset to zero.

Above the blank count, the requirent was clear: 200 XP to reach the next level.

Straightening in his chair, Gon's focus sharpened. The new target was clear, and the path ahead was waiting.

He let out a soft sigh and leaned back in his chair, his eyes lingering on the glowing screen for a mont longer before he turned it off .

He ran a hand over his face, the weight of the day settling over him like a heavy blanket.

Tomorrow was going to be long—a grind, both in the tournant and out of it—but for now, he had to rest.

Sliding into bed, he closed his eyes, his mind drifting between thoughts of strategy and the steady rhythm of his breathing.

Sleep wrapped around him gently, pulling him into its embrace.

The next morning, the soft creak of the doorknob turning reached Gon's ears, pulling him from the depths of sleep.

His eyes fluttered open even before the door fully swung in.

Gon stretched his arms above his head and let out a long yawn, shaking off the last traces of sleep. He glanced at the window, where the morning sun spilled through the curtains, bathing the room in a golden glow.

He glanced at the empty space beside him as he stretched, the sheets on either side of his bed undisturbed. He was alone, unlike he'd been when he drifted off to sleep. Ana and Elsa had left for their rooms hours ago.

The faint mory of their moans lingered in the air, a reminder of the pleasure they had shared the night before.

Now, his room was silent, the only sounds the faint rustle of the curtains swaying in the morning breeze and the quiet steps of the servant moving about.

Gon rubbed the sleep from his eyes and exhaled softly.

He swung his legs over the side of the bed, planting his feet firmly on the cold floor. Today was the day, and he had no ti to waste.

Today marked the beginning of the Tournant of Mages, a competition shrouded in both tradition and prestige.

Held only once every ten years, it was a rare event that drew skilled magicians and hopeful challengers from all corners of the realm.

The air buzzed with excitent, and the weight of anticipation was almost tangible.

For those who entered, the tournant was more than a contest—it was a chance to prove their worth, to etch their nas into history, and to push the boundaries of their magical abilities.

Gon could feel the importance of the day settling on his shoulders as he rose from his bed.

Today wasn't just another day—it was the beginning of a challenge that would test his skill, his determination, and his spirit.

He sat on the edge of his bed, the mories of the last Tournant of Mages flooding back to him.

He had been just a kid then, barely old enough to understand the intricacies of magic, yet completely srized by the spectacle.

The Mages had seed larger than life, their fights lighting up the arena in bursts of colour and power. Each duel had been a dance of precision and strength, leaving him wide-eyed and awestruck.

Back then, he could only dream of standing in their place, knowing it was impossible

Now, all these years later, the dream was no longer a distant hope. He was no longer the child watching from the sidelines—this ti, he was stepping into the arena.

He rembered how his father had said he wished he had a son who could participate in the tournant.

He also rembered how his mom's eyes were wet with tears as she put him to bed that night telling him. "You're a special boy Gon, trust ".

Well, now his father's wish had co true. He would now have a son fighting in the tournant.

The odds weren't in his favor, since he didn't have the level of training and mastery of weapons as the other young mages did.

They had years of experience, discipline, and ntorship backing them.

The system was his secret weapon, a tool that could make him stronger. But, it had its own demands, and ti wasn't on his side.

To level up and unlock his true potential, he needed experience—experience the system rewarded through a very specific thod: conquering won.

Gon frowned at the thought. The tournant was re hours away, and it was impossible for him to gather the kind of Xp he needed in such a short ti.

Even if he had the opportunity to et ten won quickly, there simply wasn't enough ti for him to conquer all of them.

The realization weighed heavily on him.

As it was, he would be walking into the tournant as he was—underprepared and underpowered.

Still, the fire in his chest refused to be extinguished. If he couldn't rely on the system, then he'd have to be smart with his strategy.

If he could just hold on and make it through the Duchy stage of the tournant, there might still be hope.

The thought gave Gon a small glimr of determination.

Surviving the initial rounds would buy him ti—ti to train, ti to strategize, and most importantly, ti to level up with the system before the Kingdom stage.

It wouldn't be easy. The Duchy stage alone would pit him against so of the most skilled Mages from across the region, each one better prepared and more experienced than he was.

But if he could endure, if he could scrape by with sheer grit and a bit of luck, there was a chance to turn things around.

With that resolve, Gon pushed the covers aside and swung his legs out of bed.

The cold floor against his feet jolted him awake, sharpening his focus.

He stretched briefly before heading to the bathroom, the low hum of the morning calming his nerves.
