Right now, Shadow was in an extrely foul mood. He hadn't expected things to turn out like this. In his world, sothing like this had simply never happened before.
At first, he thought Ye Tian was rely using so sort of illusion technique, but now, he realized it was clearly sothing far beyond his comprehension.
Ye Tian looked at him, thinking how pitiful he was—only now, at this mont, did fear finally dawn on him.
"To be honest, your strength is a bit surprising to , but from the looks of it now, you're not all that powerful. Don't tell that people like you are considered top-tier experts in this world?"
Ye Tian truly found it odd. If soone like this could be considered an elite, then wouldn't that make him the absolute peak of existence in this world?
But he didn't feel much joy about that. After all, he didn't belong to this world in the first place. Though he was here now, sooner or later he would have to leave. Once he left, he would have no more ties to this place.
Many things puzzled him. Originally, he had been in the Journey to the West world, but now, without warning, he had ended up here—and it was all the doing of the Tathāgata Buddha and Bodhisattva Guanyin.
So, at this mont, his heart still harbored resentnt. If he ever returned, he definitely wouldn't let them off lightly. They had gone too far.
But how could he get back? He needed a thod. Without one, returning would be impossible. That was what mattered most to him now—finding a way back. But how could he do that?
He had to figure it out. So he looked at Shadow. Although Shadow's cultivation wasn't impressive by Ye Tian's standards, in this world he was still considered one of the top experts. Maybe if Ye Tian asked, he might know sothing about how to return.
"Shadow, you know your strength is nowhere near mine. If you keep fighting , you won't stand a chance. I think you understand that, don't you?"
Shadow looked at Ye Tian and replied, "You're right. From our earlier fight, I've already realized that. If we continue, I don't stand a chance."
"Since you understand that clearly, let tell you—I'm not from this world. So, do you know of any way to send back to my original world? If you do, I'll spare your life."
"What? You're not from this world?"
Shadow stared at Ye Tian. If he'd said that at the very beginning, Shadow wouldn't have believed him. But now, hearing him say it, Shadow found himself sowhat convinced.
Because as far as he knew, no one in this world could defeat him so easily. And yet, this man before him had done just that without breaking a sweat. Who else could possibly do that—unless he wasn't from this world at all?
"You just said you're not from this world. Then where exactly are you from?"
"The Journey to the West world."
Ye Tian truly was from that world, so he continued to look at him and asked, "Can you tell how I might return?"
"To be honest, I don't know how to get you back. You said... you're not from this world? That really took by surprise!"
"Surprise? Is that all?"
"Yes, really. I'm just surprised. I honestly don't know how you can return. There are many legends in our world—so speak of beings from outer realms who arrived here by certain ans—but they're just that: legends."
"Legends, huh?"
Hearing this, Ye Tian felt a bit disheartened. He desperately wanted to go back, but returning to his original world seed no easy task.
He still hadn't found a way. The uncertainty made him anxious. How on earth could he get back?
There were many things that couldn't be achieved just by wanting them. Take this for example—he wanted to know how to return, but even soone like Shadow, a top expert in this world, didn't know the answer.
"Hmph. If you can't help return to my original world, then there's no use keeping you alive. I'll just send you to hell right now!"
Upon hearing this, Shadow's heart clenched with fear. This man was terrifying—if he wanted to kill him, he wouldn't even need to use much strength. A re flick of the finger would do.
So he knew he had to find a way to survive. Quickly, he said, "You want to go back, right? I may not know how now, but I can help you find a way. Killing won't help you at all. Why not spare instead? Don't you think that's wiser?"
"Hmm, what you said does make so sense. Killing you now really wouldn't benefit . In that case, I'll spare your life. But you need to promise —if I let you live, it has to be worth it. You'll help find a way. Can you do that?"
Shadow could only nod and say, "Yes, I swear I'll help you find a way!"
At this mont, his heart was pounding with anxiety. How could soone like Ye Tian exist in this world? He was far too terrifying. If Ye Tian hadn't been willing to spare him, he'd be dead for sure.
