As long as the Chaos Immortality Talisman was in effect, within a single hour, no known entity in the primordial world could kill him. Moreover, given his strength, it was unlikely that anyone would survive long enough to challenge him during that hour. In essence, he now possessed the ability to confront even Grandmaster Hongjun head-on.
However, Yuanshi Tianzun remained cautious, as he had never truly crossed swords with Ancestor Hongjun. Since he lacked a complete understanding of Hongjun's strength, he would not risk a direct confrontation. Besides, Hongjun was also his ntor. Unless his survival was directly threatened, Yuanshi Tianzun would not raise his hand against him.

This was unsurprising since Ye Tian had yet to make an appearance, and his strength remained shrouded in mystery. However, the root of Laozi's failure stemd from his greed. Even saints would struggle to resist the temptation of such precious rewards, wanting to obtain every possible benefit.
To receive such treasures, one must also bear the associated risks. This was especially true for items like the Question Card. If luck was unfavorable, one might leave empty-handed—or worse, suffer a loss in power.
The Chaos Immortality Talisman only fueled others' desire for equally valuable rewards. However, obtaining another treasure of such caliber seed highly unlikely, as even other saints coveted it. Rewards of this level were incredibly rare, even for the most fortunate.
As for the tenth-place reward, few had expectations before it was revealed—primarily because it also belonged to Yuanshi Tianzun. After receiving such an extraordinary item in ninth place, many believed it was reasonable for the tenth-place reward to be insignificant. So even speculated that the two rewards had been combined into one, given how disproportionate the value of the talisman was for a ninth-place ranking.
Yuanshi Tianzun himself shared this sentint. With the Chaos Immortality Talisman already in hand, he felt content. Even if the tenth-place reward turned out to be two Question Cards, he could afford to answer incorrectly without concern.

Laozi's experience was an example of such unpredictability. His first reward was terrible, weakening his power, but his second prize was exceptional. However, he had given the precious Saint Ascension Pill to his disciple, the Grandmaster Xuandu, out of consideration. Fortunately, the Grandmaster did not disappoint and quickly ascended to sainthood in return for Laozi's generosity.
The combination of Laozi's two rewards—a poor one and an excellent one—ant that he still gained significant value overall. Yuanshi Tianzun might face a similar scenario, but whether the tenth-place prize would be good or bad remained to be seen. This uncertainty only heightened everyone's curiosity.

Excessive greed was inappropriate for saints, but that did not stop him from quietly hoping for a worthy reward.
So far, Yuanshi Tianzun's prizes had exceeded expectations based on his rank. While unchecked greed was unwise for a saint, the slightest hint of anticipation still lingered in his heart.
