"With enemies of only this level, how can we prove our valor to the Holy Dragon Emperor?"

A Forbidden Army soldier standing not far away also complained. He was attacked by a pack of Abyss Evil Dogs, but with just a swing of his battle sword, the pack of evil dogs turned into a pile of minced at and bones.

"Don’t worry, we’re in the midst of a super-large sacrifice ritual. High-ranking demons are bound to appear. We can take their heads to prove ourselves to His Majesty."

Shu Carlton looked down at the thick layer of flesh and blood swamp on the ground. The demon debris making contact with the ground was gradually dissolving under the unnoticeable weak red light emitted from the ground.

Such is the mindset shared by the Forbidden Army, established less than ten years ago. They are eager to step onto a battlefield high enough in standard or to face strong enemies to prove the Forbidden Army’s value to the Holy Dragon Emperor.

The existence of the Forbidden Army is far more than just an experintal legion using unverified forbidden techniques. They are ant to be the ace elites of the Holy Dragon Emperor in expanding territory and suppressing all dissent. They should be the sharpest spears and swords in the Holy Dragon’s hands.

Thus, the remaining residents of this town, offered up like sacrificial pawns to the Abyss by the aristocracy, could see a group of Golden Giant warriors, appearing from nowhere, clearing the streets.

In an awe-inspiring silence, these Golden Giant Warriors, clad in golden heavy armor and exuding a thick golden light, crushed countless demonic creatures or low-level demons crawling out from the Abyss. They watched indifferently as their flesh was dissolved by the decades-old sacrificial ritual, becoming nourishnt strong enough to summon higher-tier demons.

Even when the heroic professionals of the city, including Paladins, warned them, these warriors remained oblivious. They continued their thodical sweep, indifferent to the temporary cross-realm portal ford by the sacrifice of half the town’s residents and nurous low-level demons.

A black vortex stood in the center of the town, casting a blood-red light. Although it couldn’t facilitate the advent of an Abyss Lord’s projection like the semi-permanent Abyss Gate, it was enough to support the descent of a high-rank demon.

Sparkling golden light flickered within the sacrificial domain shrouded in Abyssal power. Though seemingly weak, the light was particularly resilient, eradicating large swathes of blood-red shadows.

This was the scene the Balrog Demon, making a cross-border descent, saw while overlooking the city. From the ruins of the city’s highest point, the demon lord’s mansion, the Balrog Demon let out an angry roar, feeling the death of its servants.

The enraged demon’s muscles rose like hills, reflecting a wrought-tal black iron sheen. Its iconic demon wings suddenly spread wide, unleashing raging winds that scattered debris.

As this high-rank demon soared over the town, every Forbidden Army soldier locked their gaze on it.

It was a renowned high-rank Great Demon. From the crescent horns atop its head, the wide bat wings behind it, the swaying tail, to the strong hooves beneath, every aspect was a classic demon image etched deeply into mory.

Should it advance further, it would reach the pinnacle of demons in the Abyss, the Balrog Fla Demon. Compared to the Balrog Fla Demon, the Balrog Demon rely lacked flas and was slightly weaker, yet it remained undoubtedly a Great Demon.

Boom—

The nearly ten-ter-tall giant demon descended from the sky with a mountain-flattening impact, directly flipping a Forbidden Army soldier hundreds of ters away, smashing through entire blocks of houses, and carving a deep, undulating trench in the ground before finally stopping in a bell and drum tower.

"Damn hybrid Dragon Descendant!"

The Balrog Demon, with eyes like burning coals, stared angrily at the shaky bell and drum tower hundreds of ters away. Under its gaze, the tower collapsed with a roar.

But amidst the swirling dust, a warrior whose Radiant Gold was shattered and armor luster dulled stood shakily. A visible dent appeared in the armor on the soldier’s chest, yet it didn’t hinder his movent.

This was the reason for the Great Demon’s anger. The hybrid Dragon Descendant who bore its full frontal assault didn’t die, and what incensed it further was seeing this shaky creature draw a battle sword and charge toward it with increasing resolve.

"Die!"

The enraged Balrog Fla Demon drew a black heavy sword radiating ominous energy, slashing at the charging Forbidden Army soldier with the force to split mountains.

Clang—

The Forbidden Army soldier crossed his sword in front, blocking the demon’s slash. However, the Power Extre Intent of this demon, who stood at the Ultimate Intent Realm, exacted a heavy toll on the brave Forbidden Army soldier for making such a defensive action.

In the instant he blocked with his sword, his body plumted into the ground, half subrged, while blood spurted like a fountain from the gaps in his armor.

This Great Demon, who had never seen a hybrid Dragon Descendant left embedded in the ground by a single slash, was not elated but more furious, for the Forbidden Army soldier still lived.

"Get lost!"

The extrely enraged Great Demon kicked the soldier’s head, sending him, half-embedded in the ground, flying, tracing a tragic arc while shedding copious blood, crashing into the town ruins.

"Bastard!"

The Great Demon swung its giant sword, stamping with hoofed feet, intending to rush into the ruins, as the Dragon Descendant’s life force still hadn’t ended; he was alive.

But it had no more chances, as a blazing light bead from afar. Another Golden Warrior, armored similarly but distinct, charged at the demon like an enraged bull.

"Damn, more of these tin cans!"

The demon flung aside a Light Spear, directing its gaze at the Forbidden Army soldier hurling weapons at it. Upon seeing the similar armor, its coal-like eyes ignited fiercely.

Fearful Gaze

It still served no purpose. The Fear Spirit Energy, effortlessly used by high-rank Abyss demons to intimidate lower beings, whether of the sa or differing realm, failed here.

More and more Forbidden Army soldiers appeared in the Great Demon’s field of view. Though none equaled its power, the demon felt an inexplicable fear.

Nevertheless, the Balrog Demon swiftly suppressed this unwelco fear and roared furiously, clashing with the mustered Forbidden Army.

"I’ll kill you all, vermin of the Material Realm!"

Boom! Bang! Swish!

Notorious throughout the realms, the Great Demon’s charge was quickly halted. It took only five Forbidden Army soldiers to force the Balrog Demon to divide his focus because the damned Dragon Blood hybrids’ weapons could rip through its skin, slice open muscles, and sever bones.

"Such a powerful army!"

Any discerning Transcendent witnessing this scene would be astounded. It’s not uncommon for lower-level Transcendents to band together against a higher-level opponent.

Such occurrences often happen below the Ultimate Intent Realm; above it, it’s virtually unheard of. Between Radiant Gold and Extre Intent lies an insurmountable chasm.

Ordinarily, no matter how many Golds participate in an assault, if the Extre Intent is willing to spend the ti, it could slay them all. Yet now, this common understanding is being overturned...
