The assistant erged from the ground. An eternity had passed, so long that Mike thought he would never appear again, but there he was.
"Master, I think I have found him..." The assistant paused, then continued speaking after a mont. "I have found the last one. But be warned, he is far stronger than anyone you have ever fought."
Mike grinned. "It is fine. I am looking forward to this fight."
The assistant nodded and disappeared back into the ground.
After a while, Mike activated the ability Swap, and in an instant he vanished and reappeared on top of a sand dune.
Mike surveyed the area. Everywhere he looked, sand serpents lay dead across the desert. Their bodies were already dissolving, aning they had been killed recently. Mike looked closer. Standing atop a pile of sand serpent corpses was a man. He wore a long fur pelt around his neck, white and thick. In his hand he held a large, long sword with a thin grip. His hands were filled with a white aura.
When the man looked down, he imdiately noticed Mike. In seconds, the man vanished.
Mike looked around frantically. "Huh?"
Mike turned to the right and saw a long sword right in front of him. He jumped to the side and narrowly avoided the blade. Mike instantly equipped his weapon from his inventory. The sand serpent sword appeared in his hand. The grip felt as if it had been made for him. It fit perfectly. The blade looked like compressed sand, bent and shaped into a deadly edge.
Mike grinned. "You are the last one."
The man stood still, as if waiting for Mike to attack. Mike dashed forward, his leap kicking sand backward into the air. The man reacted and swung his sword forward, but Mike let the strike hit him.
A shadow revealed itself.
A shadow shot across the entire desert. The ambush strike was deflected by Mike’s ability. Imdiately, Mike slashed forward. The sand serpent sword tore through the white fur and continued into the man’s abdon. Blood sprayed onto the sand, and the grains quickly turned dark and muddy red as it soaked in.
The wound in the man’s stomach was massive. Mike stepped back at once and observed him, waiting and ready to finish it. The man staggered backward. His sword fell to the ground and shattered into a thousand pieces, returning to the man’s inventory.
Mike sprinted forward. With a swift leap, he inflicted another deep wound across the man’s back. The man’s fate was sealed. He stood still and looked at Mike, then spoke in a weak voice.
"Who are you?"
Mike laughed. He raised his sword so it could be clearly seen. A shadow wrapped itself around the blade, crawling upward from the hilt. Mike grinned and swung forward, speaking quickly during the motion.
"I am a shadow. Or well, half of one, but that would ruin the mont."
With that thought, Mike surged forward and severed the last admin’s head. The body imdiately disintegrated. Mike received nothing, no item, not even anything else. He had not gained experience in a long ti anyway.
A ssage appeared.
"All admins defeated. Strength will be transferred."
Mike stood still. Would he really receive the combined strength of all of them?
A bright blue light suddenly appeared in his chest. In the next second, energy surged through his body.
"Argh!"
The blue glow expanded from his chest to his arms, then down to his legs. The light grew even stronger. Mike suddenly felt ten thousand tis more powerful than before. A faint but genuine grin appeared on his lips. He staggered back and spoke quietly.
"Now the plan begins."
Mike vanished into the castle. The shadows felt how powerful their master had suddenly beco. Not that he had not been strong before, but now it was different. His aura was far more threatening.
"We only need to wait," Mike remarked as he sat down on his throne in the throne hall.
Since then, a little ti had passed. Many players finished World Six within a few days. Mike had been watching Fie, Hero, Terry, and Ice closely the entire ti. He was actually surprised that Ice had survived, but soon everything would change anyway. In the next world, he planned to take over the entire world. He would send his shadows into every single server of that world. Mike would personally deal with the one where Ice and the others were. He wanted to be the only human in Godslayer VR.
"I cannot wait anymore."
Mike imdiately stood up from his throne. It would begin now. He instantly swapped places with his assistant.
Fie and Hero stood beneath him. Mike grinned.
"Did you miss ?"
Fie replied without a hint of fear.
"Not really."
Hero jumped up and pulled his sword from his inventory. Fie imdiately summoned her chains into her hands. Mike laughed.
"You are really weak. I thought you trained."
Fie tilted her head slightly.
"You have not even seen us fight."
Mike laughed again.
"Oh, I have. Many tis."
Mike turned his head toward Hero. He did not look good. He looked at Mike with an almost sad expression, then spoke.
"Mike, what have you beco?"
Mike’s grin widened.
"The strongest creature in the entire world."
Hero asked imdiately.
"Creature? You are still a human, Mike."
But before Mike could answer, Fie’s chains shot straight toward him.
But sowhere a voice echoed.
I sit behind my observation window and watch him. Mike always Mike. He moves through the worlds as if they were only scenery as if every battle and every loss were part of a design I once imagined. Yet while I created him I never truly understood how far he would rise above the rest. Now as I look at him I feel more than pride. It is as if sothing inside breathes that had long been waiting.
He is so strong. Not just in numbers not just in glowing values on invisible screens. His strength changes space itself. When he appears the world rearranges around him. Enemies that once inspired fear beco re tests. Places ant to break players bend quietly beneath his steps. I have watched armies rush at him and fall silent not because of stats but because of the resolve in his eyes.
What fascinates most is how perfectly everything aligns. His will his shadows his instinct for danger. I gave him systems that could grow and adapt but the way he uses them is beyond code. His decisions co from sowhere deeper. As if I planted a seed and now observe a tree that outgrew every expectation.
He is so strong simply perfect. Not because he lacks flaws but because his anger his isolation his hunger make him real. Those fractures are what fuel him. Without them he would be nothing more than a rigid construct. With them he becos a storm.
Sotis I wonder if I created too much. As the Creator I should protect balance and order. Mike has stepped past that. He bends rules until they break and then forges new aning from the remains. Other heroes are predictable. Mike is not. Even I hesitate at tis watching him move.
And yet I keep watching. Because through him this world gains depth. Through him my creation feels alive.
