While Wen Ran and Luo Feng were focused on the massive door ahead, oblivious to what lay behind it, a different kind of storm was brewing far away from the sect. The stillness of the distant plains, once untouched, was now broken by the hurried footsteps of two people dressed in black. They moved swiftly, their faces grim, their eyes darting nervously from side to side. Whatever they were running from, it was clear that ti was of the essence. Their fear was palpable, a quiet tension that hung heavily in the air, and it was all directed toward one woman.

A woman in golden clothes, her figure glowing like the sun itself, was chasing them relentlessly. Her golden hair flowed around her like a shimring halo, her golden eyes captivating and striking in their beauty, filled with an intense fire. She moved like a predator, swift and determined, her presence almost overwhelming. This was none other than Fang Jinyao, the one who had been tracking these individuals with relentless focus.

"Where did that damn woman co from?" one of the black-clad figures complained under their breath, their voice high-pitched but laced with anger. "We were only tasked with finding the brat who slaughtered our branch clan, and now so other brat is chasing us. But her power… it's at least at the Spirit Pagoda stage…" Explore stories at My Virtual Library Empire

The speaker's voice trembled as they spoke, but their aura was anything but weak. At the Spirit Refinent stage, their presence was formidable, yet still not enough to make them challenge Fang Jinyao head-on. Beside her, the other figure remained silent, their face hidden by a dark mask, but their aura was even more intimidating. The masked figure was at the Spirit Pagoda stage, a step above their companion, but still, neither of them dared to face Fang Jinyao.

Her voice cut through the air with a chilling clarity. "Stop and surrender your lives to ," Fang Jinyao declared, her tone sharp and unyielding. "If you dare plot against my husband, I will end you and your damn clan, wherever you co from. I will end you all."

Her words rang with authority, but there was sothing hauntingly otherworldly about them, as if two voices were intertwined in a single sentence—one younger, filled with determination, and the other older, drenched with sorrow and pain. To anyone who knew her, the combination of voices would have been disturbing, for it was clear that the voice of the girl had rged with that of a goddess who had long since disappeared.

If Wen Ran were to hear her now, he would curse her not only for declaring him her husband but for the eerie way her words resonated with both love and possessiveness. Who is she to call that? he would think. But more troubling for him would be the realization that the voice carrying the weight of her declaration wasn't entirely her own. The voice of the goddess who had once shared the sa soul as this girl was awakening, and it was this mystery that would haunt Wen Ran, should their paths cross again.

But for now, Fang Jinyao was too far away from Wen Ran. She didn't know where he had gone, only that he had slipped away from her grasp. Yet deep in her heart, she felt an ache, a pain that throbbed with each passing mont. She wanted to find him, to reach him, to tell him that she would protect him—that he no longer needed to run. The promise she had made to him, to never let him suffer again, burned in her chest. But even with all the power at her disposal, she was left searching for him, her heart bleeding with the pain of separation.

She couldn't stop until she found him.

The emotions swelling within Fang Jinyao seed to ignite her divine powers, causing an imnse golden lotus flower to materialize in the sky above her. Its radiance flooded the surroundings, the very air pulsing with raw power. The pressure from her aura alone was enough to make the two figures before her freeze in their tracks. They knew they couldn't escape now—they would have to face her head-on if they wanted to survive.

The atmosphere shifted as a massive burning sword manifested in the air beside her, a symbol of her readiness to fight. Fang Jinyao dropped her disguise, revealing her crimson hair cascading like a river of blood and her perfect red eyes that shimred with the intensity of a thousand fires. Her very presence radiated the purest form of fire, as if she herself was a living fla, burning with the weight of the centuries of loss and power she carried. She was prepared to tank the upcoming battle, her resolve unwavering.

Her companion, however, was not far behind in revealing his true form. The figure of the person who had been masked stood tall, revealing the features of a youth who looked no older than fourteen, though the power emanating from him was undeniable. His appearance was striking—his white hair frad his face with an ethereal beauty that made it hard to tear one's gaze away. His pink eyes glowed brightly, almost unnaturally, and the aura he carried was of the highest level, as if he were a being far beyond his age. Despite his youthful appearance, there was sothing about him that demanded respect.

"Today, you've crossed the line and provoked the great Fang Clan," the youth spoke in a calm yet commanding voice. His tone dripped with authority, a presence so overwhelming that even Fang Jinyao could feel a ripple of unease. "State your na, and we will carve it on your grave."

Fang Jinyao's mind raced. Fang Clan? How could this be possible? She had witnessed the complete destruction of her clan—her family, her lineage wiped out—and yet these two individuals stood before her, claiming to be part of the Fang Clan. Her great-grandfather had never spoken of any other branches, and yet here they were, both exuding an air of deadly certainty.

"I'm Fang Jinyao, head of the Fang Clan," she stated firmly, her voice filled with both anger and disbelief. "If you're truly connected to the Fang bloodline, show your dallions."

At her words, she pulled out a small dallion from her side. The character Fang was inscribed on it, its intricate design gleaming with a faint golden light. The mont the dallion was exposed, the two figures before her reacted. With a quick motion, they pulled out their own dallions, more decorated and detailed than her own, but with the sa symbol. As their dallions t hers, a strange and powerful energy surged through the air, and the three dallions shone in a dazzling multicolored light, casting a glow that illuminated the entire battlefield.

Fang Jinyao's breath caught in her throat. How could this be?

The youth's lips curled into a cold, satisfied smile. "This is perfect. Not only can we find that brat—" He paused, his eyes gleaming with malicious intent, "—we can also rid ourselves of the last of your damned mixed blood. The patriarch will be pleased that the disgrace of the branch Fang Clan will finally be eradicated."

At that mont, Fang Jinyao's mind went cold. Her eyebrows twitched as realization hit her like a blow to the chest. They aren't just after Wen Ran.
