Capítulo 563: Return of the Wastrel Son

In the Skywind Town—the base of the Feng Family—the atmosphere was bustling with new life.

Once, this town could never compare to the prosperity of Greenspire Town under the Lin Family.

But ever since the Lin Family clashed with the Bloodclaw Tribe and locked Greenspire’s gates to outsiders, Skywind Town had risen like a phoenix.

Trade routes shifted, rchants poured in, and soon Skywind beca the busiest town across the entire Erald Green Plains.

Currently, in the Family Head’s courtyard, Darius Feng sat deep in thought. News of his son’s rapid progress had reached him, and though wealth and influence were flowing into the Feng Family, he found no satisfaction in it.

His heart remained unsettled.

‘Did I make a mistake? No… he was really a piece of shit who always caused trouble for .’

‘Is there no chance for him to return?’

‘With a High-Grade Fire Spirit Root, reaching the Nascent Soul Realm was only a matter of resources.’

‘And if the Feng Family had a Nascent Soul Realm cultivator, who in the Erald Green Plains would dare oppose us?’

‘Golden Core cultivators would be easy to nurture, even birthing a second or third Nascent Soul Realm cultivator would not be out of reach.’

But the problem gnawed at him.

‘That sh*tty son of mine… would he ever return to this family?’

The more he thought about it, the more his frustration grew. If Elias had remained useless, he would have been content to discard him.

Yet the mont Elias left, the boy shocked the entire region—breaking into the Foundation Establishnt Realm within a single month, and soon after surging to the sixth level.

‘It’s been a month since I last heard of his progress. By now… he must have broken through another level or two, right?’

Darius clenched his fists. His teeth ground together.

‘If only that b*tch Elara was still alive. I could have used her to control that bastard.’

Elara Feng—his first wife, Elias’s mother—had been the only woman he truly respected. Yet she had died young, leaving Elias with her softness. To Darius, her death had robbed him of the perfect leash.

Just then, footsteps disturbed his courtyard.

“Family Head, the useless… no—the Eldest Young Master has arrived!”

The guard stamred, quickly correcting himself. In the past, Elias was openly mocked as useless, even by servants.

But after his stunning achievents, no one dared show disrespect. From “useless” to “Eldest Young Master”—the title shift said everything.

“What? Really?”

Darius shot to his feet, both shocked and delighted. His lips curled into a smile.

‘As expected of Elara’s son. He is soft and emotional, just like her.’

Without wasting another breath, Darius strode quickly toward the Feng Family’s eting Hall, where Elias was already waiting.

As soon as he rushed into the Feng Family’s eting Hall, his eyes blazed with excitent the mont he saw Elias.

Without a shred of hesitation, he spread his arms as if welcoming back a prodigal son.

“I knew you would return, my dear son!” Darius’s voice trembled with false affection. “The Feng Family’s blood runs in your veins. No matter where you go, you can never abandon this family!”

He stepped closer, speaking with even greater fervour.

“What’s more—if not for the Feng Family, if not for —Elias, you would never have even been born! Every resource you consud before leaving this house was well-spent. Every single pill, every single stone—it was all for this mont!”

He raised his chin proudly, shalessness dripping from his tone.

“From this day onward, the Feng Family will give you everything you need. Spirit stones, rare treasures, even ancient manuals—whatever you want! We will spare no effort to raise you into a Nascent Soul Realm cultivator!”

“…”

Elias remained silent. His gaze was calm, his face unreadable, but deep inside, his heart twisted with disappointnt.

There had been a ti—long ago—when he had desperately yearned to hear these exact words from his father’s lips. Not the promises of resources. Not the talk of realms. But just an acknowledgent, just the recognition that he, too, was Darius’s son.

But now?

Those words ant nothing.

Back then, all he had wanted was warmth. A father’s hand on his shoulder. A single sentence of pride. Instead, he had been beaten down, called useless, and humiliated before his siblings.

Now, the only reason Darius looked at him was because of his cultivation talent. Strip that away, and Darius would cast him aside again without hesitation.

Seeing his father act like this—pretending to value family blood, when in truth he only valued strength—Elias felt an even deeper disappointnt. For all his life, he had believed Darius was a man who put rules and principles above all else. But standing here now, Elias realised the truth.

His father was just another cultivator. A selfish man who acted only for his own benefit… even if that ant exploiting his own son.

“Hm?”

Seeing Elias remain silent, Darius frowned. But he quickly regained his composure and leaned forward, his eyes glimring with cunning.

“If you want, I will even step down from my position! From today, you can beco the Family Head. You may fully control the Feng Family as you wish!”

Darius’s tone was generous, but his mind was cold and calculating. Giving up his seat ant nothing—Elias still had to cultivate, and until then, every decision would run through him anyway. In his eyes, this was rely an investnt, not a sacrifice.

But before he could speak further, Elias finally opened his mouth. His words cut like a blade.

“Family Head Darius,” Elias said slowly, his tone as calm as still water, “please address as Elias. And understand this—I have not co here to take over the Feng Family… nor to beco your son again.”

“What did you say?”

Elias’s calm words were like a bucket of cold water poured over Darius’s burning excitent. His face twisted, and in the next instant, the air in the eting Hall trembled.

Boom!

A suffocating aura surged forth as Darius released the full might of his Perfected Foundation Establishnt Realm cultivation, pressing down on Elias like a mountain. His eyes narrowed dangerously.

“Then tell ,” Darius’s voice turned sharp, cold fury hidden beneath, “why did you co here? Do you think you can just leave after walking into this place?”

Darius mistakenly believed that since Elias was always soft from childhood, he must have wanted to return to the family.

However, hearing Elias’s words and sensing his lack of connection to the Feng Family, Darius guessed there was no way Elias would return to the family.

Thus, he wanted to take care of Elias and put an end to his endless thoughts whenever he heard about Elias’s achievents in the future.

“You are finally revealing your true colours… Family Head Darius.”

Elias raised his head, his gaze steady, unshaken by the pressure that sought to bury him. A faint, ironic smile tugged at his lips.

The suppression, which would have crushed ordinary cultivators into submission, was nothing to Elias now.

The mont his Golden Core Realm aura stirred, the pressure dissolved like mist under sunlight.

“Y-you… perfected your Foundation already?”

Darius staggered inwardly, his eyes widening.

To him, the only explanation for Elias’s resistance was that Elias had already reached the Peak of Foundation Establishnt Realm, the sa level as himself.

‘How long has it been? Just a couple of months since he left the Feng Family… from Level 6 Qi Refining all the way to Peak Foundation Establishnt? At this pace, within a month or two, he’ll break through to the Golden Core Realm.’

For Darius, Elias reaching Peak Foundation Establishnt was already beyond belief. He didn’t dare imagine the truth—that his son had already crossed into a realm he himself could only dream of.

“It doesn’t matter.”

Elias shook his head, his tone cold and resolute as he finally revealed his purpose.

“I did not co here to take over the Feng Family. I ca only to resolve my past grudges with one particular person.”

His gaze sharpened, killing intent flashing beneath the calm surface. “On the fact that I was born here and lived as a Feng for more than two decades, I will quietly leave after settling that score. If not…”

Darius’s expression hardened, his face darkening as he cut in.

“If not… what? Do you think the Feng Family is a place you can just barge into and act as you please?” He scoffed, his voice dripping with disdain.

Darius was a proud cultivator who wanted to control everything, and when he saw how Elias dared to threaten him, he beca furious.

Elias’s eyes narrowed, his words like the toll of a death knell.

“If not… the Feng Family will cease to exist today.”

BOOM!

The mont his voice fell, Elias released his cultivation without restraint.

Crack!

The air itself split faintly, the Golden Core’s overwhelming might radiating in silent defiance.

‘T-this… you… you reached… How is this possible… just how?’

Darius’s pupils shrank as he was unable to finish his line of thinking, but he finally learned the truth behind Elias’s confidence.

It was not the confidence gained with the backing of Master Ethan, who dared to go against the Bloodclaw Tribe, but Elias was confident in his own cultivation prowess.

Darius’s entire body stiffened as the truth crashed down on him like thunder. The density of that aura, the crushing majesty—it was undeniable.

Golden Core Realm!

The useless son he had once scorned and wished he had not been born… had already stepped into a realm that surpassed him.
