[Shadow Steps]

'Swoosh'

The Demonic Blood Bat King was fast; however, Ethan was expecting such sudden movents from it.

So, he already activated his movent technique to dodge no matter what attack the Bat King would use.

'That was close.'

Ethan dodged it; however, he was still a bit slow as a slight cut appeared on his chest from the deadly Blood Claw of the Bat King.

"Huh? You dodged it?"

Even the Bat King was shocked to see Ethan dodge his attack; however, it only made the Bat King chuckle.

"Interesting... interesting... I have found a good prey to test my increased strength."

Saying that, the Bat King flapped its massive wings, releasing a violent gust of wind blades at Ethan.

'Swiish'

'Swiish'

'Clang'

'Clang'

Ethan's agility was good enough to dodge many incoming wind blades; however, there were countless wind blades coming at him. So, he intentionally moved towards the weak wind blades and blocked them with his sword.

"Not bad, but it is not even enough to make a scratch on my body."

The Bat King's deep voice echoed in Ethan's head, its tone filled with cruel amusent.

'Swoosh'

'Clang'

Ethan remained unfazed.

'Huff'

He exhaled slowly, gripping his sword tighter. The barrage of wind blades had barely left a scratch on him, yet he knew—this was just the beginning.

'It's testing .'

It was very clear to Ethan, and this realization made his eyes turn colder.

'Do I have to use the Primordial Beast Blood? Or should I just die?'

Ethan thought of the Primordial Beast Blood he bought from the interface.

It could be used to feed a Peak Rank 4 Spirit Beast to help it breakthrough into a Rank 5 Spirit Beast; however, it also has another use—it was to summon an Ancient Primordial Beast with a strength of Rank 5 to fight for him.

'If I can summon the Ancient Primordial Beast, killing this Demonic Blood Bat King is a piece of cake.'

Ethan was confident that the Primordial Beast Blood would solve his current issue; however, he had other plans for that Primordial Beast Blood, which was to use it on his own Spirit Beast to help it beco a Rank 5 Spirit Beast.

Of course, other than using the Primordial Beast Blood, he also had another option, which was to just die and escape from his current predicant.

'The first option seems much better.'

For Ethan, the first option in which he could kill the Demonic Blood Bat King felt good compared to dying and using his [Godly Revival Ability].

He might be using a great trump card like Primordial Beast Blood; however, he would get enough returns from his investnt.

'Other than the Life Points awarded by my [Heaven's Virtue], the entire corpse of a Rank 5 Berserk Beast is filled with treasures, right?'

The Berserk Beast's Blood… especially a King-type Beast like the Demonic Blood Bat King's Blood alone was a potent ingredient for refining high-grade elixirs, capable of boosting vitality and strengthening the body.

Its razor-sharp fangs and claws were perfect for forging powerful weapons.

Even its leathery wings, imbued with unique energy, could be crafted into top-tier armor or agility-boosting artifacts.

'But most importantly—The Beast Core. It is the most valuable thing in its body.'

The core of a Rank 5 Demonic Blood Bat King held imnse power, containing pure berserk energy.

If refined properly, it could greatly enhance one's cultivation, and if sold, it would fetch an astronomical price.

Thinking about all this, Ethan smirked as he no longer looked at the Demonic Blood Bat King as a dangerous Berserk Beast; instead, it looked like a moving treasure trove.

'Let's end… wait a second.'

Maybe it was because of his Special Talent [Infernal Purity Heart] that just before he took out the Primordial Beast Blood from the storage ring to use it to kill the Demonic Blood Bat King, Ethan thought of sothing.

Sothing that could change his current situation even without using the Primordial Beast Blood.

'Let's try this new strategy, and if it doesn't work, I can always use the Primordial Beast Blood.'

Ethan's eyes lit up as he thought about the new strategy he had co up with.

'Then let's see who tests who.'

Ethan no longer wasted any ti as he looked at the Demonic Blood Bat King and mocked, "I thought using my full strength would kill you in a single attack, but it looks like you are not bad."

"Looks like I can slightly increase the power of my attacks to see exactly how strong your defense is."

When it cos to taunting, Ethan considered himself a master.

Moreover, his words were especially effective on the Demonic Blood Bat King, who was arrogant and had been mocking Ethan from the mont he arrived.

So, Ethan was confident that the first step of his plan would go without any problem.

"Huh? You are worried that you will kill in a single attack? Really?"

As expected, the Demonic Blood Bat King felt like Ethan was belittling him and beca furious.

However, he didn't attack Ethan; instead, he scoffed, "Why don't you use your full attack? I will see exactly how powerful the attacks from a weakling like you are."

'It worked.'

Ethan heaved a sigh of relief in his heart; however, he didn't show it on his face as he shook his head before saying, "I don't want to take a risk and accidentally kill you in a single attack."

"You…."

The Bat King beca so furious that he wanted to kill Ethan right away; however, if he did that, Ethan's words would continuously linger in his head.

Moreover, he didn't want to kill Ethan very easily since he always enjoyed tasting his prey's emotions while slowly drinking their blood. So, he wanted to do the sa thing to Ethan, who killed thousands of his minions.

"Fine… why don't you use 50 percent of your attack and then 100 percent? Even if you use ten tis your power, there is no way a Foundation Realm Cultivator could kill a Special Rank 5 Berserk Beast like ."

The Demonic Blood Bat King was confident in his strength and defenses, and at the sa ti, he looked down on Ethan, who was just a Level 4 Foundation Establishnt Realm Cultivator.

That's right!

The Demonic Blood Bat King was unable to see through Ethan's cultivation and believed the cultivation that Ethan was displaying to be his real cultivation.

Of course, even if he had seen through Ethan's cultivation, the Demonic Blood Bat King would still look down on Ethan and let him attack with his full force.

It was not that he was arrogant and overconfident; instead, it was a fact that a Foundation Establishnt Realm Cultivator couldn't kill a Golden Core Realm Cultivator or a Rank 5 Spirit Beast.

What's more, the Demonic Blood Bat King was not just a regular Rank 5 Spirit Beast, it was a Special Rank 5 Berserk Beast that was much stronger than regular Rank 5 Berserk Beasts.

"I will still use the sa Sword Wave attack I used earlier; however, unlike before, when I used only 10 percent, I will use 50 percent of my power."

Ethan didn't miss the chance to taunt while explaining the power he used in his earlier sword moves and the power he would be using in his current sword moves, making the Demonic Blood Bat King furious.

'System, upgrade my [Shattering Sky Sword Art] to Greater Completion Stage.'

At the sa ti, Ethan silently ordered the system, activating his [Godly Cultivation Insight].
