Godly Investor:A Hundred Trillion Dollars For Investment And Donations Chapter 174
Ethan’s sudden action sent shockwaves through the room. The sound of shattering glass echoed through the showroom, causing everyone to freeze in their tracks. At that mont Serenity gasped, her hand flying to her mouth, as she watched the scene unfold before her eyes.
Director John, who had been groveling at Ethan’s feet just monts before, collapsed to the floor, his face ashen with disbelief. He stared at the ruined car, his mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water, unable to comprehend what had just happened.
The boss, too, seed stunned by Ethan’s actions. His eyes widened, and he took a step back, as if trying to distance himself from the situation.
Ethan, however, remained calm and composed.
At that mont he tossed the baton aside, the tal clanging against the floor. Then he turned to Director John, a small smile playing on his lips.
"Rember our bet, John?"
he asked, his voice low and asured.
"You said that if I could afford this car, you would pay for the first repair. Well, I think it’s ti for you to pay up."
Upon hearing what Ethan just said Director John’s face paled even further, and he began to tremble. He opened his mouth to speak, but no words ca out.
Ethan then turned to the boss, his expression one of cool indifference. "How much for the front glass?"
he asked, his tone casual.
imdiately the boss blinked, his mind struggling to process the question.
"Two million dollars,"
he stamred, his voice barely above a whisper.
Ethan turned to Director John, who was still crumpled on the floor, his face a mask of despair.
"According to our bet,"
Ethan said, his voice as cold as ice, "you will be paying for the damages."
Director John’s eyes widened in horror, and he began to shake his head frantically.
"No, no, no,"
he stamred, his voice cracking with emotion.
"I can’t afford that. It’s too much. Please, Mr. Ethan, have rcy."
But Ethan remained unmoved. He stared down at the man, his gaze unwavering.
"You brought this upon yourself, John,"
he said, his words cutting through the air like a knife.
"You chose to make that bet, and now you must face the consequences."
Upon hearing what Ethan just said, Director John’s face crumpled, and he began to sob uncontrollably. His body shook with the force of his tears, and he buried his face in his hands, unable to bear the weight of Ethan’s gaze.
Ethan watched the man’s breakdown with cold eyes. He felt no pity, no remorse for the man’s plight. In his eyes, Director John had dug his own grave, and now he had to lie in it.
Williams too couldn’t say anything but kept quiet.
Without another word, Ethan turned around and strode out of the dealership, leaving the shattered remains of the car and the broken man behind him. Serenity hurried to keep up, her mind reeling from the events that had just transpired.
As they stepped out into the bright sunlight, Serenity turned to Ethan, her eyes wide with confusion. "Ethan,"
she said, her voice trembling slightly.
"why didn’t you tell that you were doing a review for soone? And how do you know soone with that kind of influence?"
Ethan shrugged, a small smile playing on his lips.
"Let’s just say I have a bit of connections,"
he said, his voice cryptic.
"In this world, it’s all about who you know and how you leverage those relationships."
Serenity opened her mouth to respond, but before she could utter a word, her phone rang. She pulled it out of her pocket, her brow furrowing as she saw the na on the screen.
"It’s Noah,"
she said, her voice filled with surprise.
Ethan’s eyes widened, and he felt a sudden tightness in his chest.
He had never liked Noah, and the thought of him calling Serenity now, after everything that had happened, made his skin crawl.
Serenity answered the phone, her voice tentative.
"Hello? Noah?"
Ethan watched as Serenity’s face grew more and more concerned with each passing second. She nodded, her eyes darting to Ethan, then back to the ground.
"Okay,"
she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Bring Ethan with you, no matter what."
At that mont Ethan’s heart skipped a beat hearing what Noah just said.
Noah wanted to et with Serenity, and he had specifically asked for Ethan to co along. The request was odd, and it set Ethan’s nerves on edge.
As Serenity hung up the phone, she turned to Ethan, her eyes filled with a mix of confusion and concern. "Noah wants us to et him at a particular location,"
she said, her voice trembling slightly.
"He said it’s important, and that you have to co with , no matter what."
Ethan nodded, his jaw clenching. "I’ll go with you,"
he said, his voice firm.
"I heard everything he said, and I agree. We need to find out what he wants."
Ethan knows what Noah wants, but it seems his earlier Punishnts weren’t strong enough for him.
Not long after Ethan and Serenity arrived at the designated location, a sense of unease hanging heavy in the air.
The place was desolate, a far cry from the bustling city streets they had left behind.
The silence was eerie, broken only by the sound of their footsteps on the cracked pavent.
As they approached the eting point, a figure erged from the shadows.
It was Noah, his face twisted into a deadly smile.
At that mont Serenity gasped, her hand flying to her mouth in shock. She had thought Noah was in the hospital reserving treatnt,
but here he was, standing before them, very much strong.
Noah spread his arms wide, his voice booming across the empty space.
"Surprise!"
he exclaid, his eyes glinting with malice.
"I bet you thought you’d seen the last of , didn’t you, Ethan?"
At that mont Ethan remained silent, his face an unreadable mask. He had known this mont would co, but he had hoped it would be later rather than sooner.
imdiately Noah took a step forward, his gaze locked on Ethan. "You made a mistake, letting live that day,"
he said, his voice dripping with venom.
"And now, you’re going to face the consequences of your actions."
However Serenity looked between the two n, her face a picture of confusion.
"What’s going on here?"
she demanded, her voice shaking. "Noah, what are you talking about?"
imdiately Noah turned to Serenity, a cruel smile playing on his lips.
"Oh, my dear Serenity,"
he said, his voice sickly sweet.
"You have no idea who you’ve been associating with. Ethan isn’t who you think he is. He’s a killer, a cold-blooded murderer."
