“What should we do now?!” Ye Han and her teammates were cornered in a narrow cave.
They were surrounded by Spirit Stone Worms in all directions.
Spirit Stone Worms charged at them like endless waves.
They were gigantic creatures with bulging eyes which glinted coldly as they gnashed their teeth.
They were ready to tear the eleven people to pieces.
After Cheng Fang found them, the group now had eleven mbers.
Xuecheng Team had the more capable mbers, so three of them stopped the attack from the front.
Two other mbers stayed in the rear, fighting back the worms that were following them.
The narrow tunnel was blocked by the dead bodies of the worms, which made them think they were safe.
However, they soon realized that they were too naive.
The worms began to devour the bodies of their own kin.
“Oh my god!” Shan Jingfei was nauseated by the sight. “They’re eating their own kind! That’s insane!”
They trembled as they watched the worms tear apart the bodies with their sharp teeth. Their stomachs churned.
“Are we going to die? I don’t want to die!” Ye Han was terrified when she was forced to face the possibility of death.
Xuecheng Team went on killing the worms, guarding the others from the front and the back. They had no problem fighting a couple of worms at a ti, but they were only human, and would get tired eventually.
They were already covered with worm bites and were getting weaker.
“They’re not only disgusting, their bites are venomous as well!” Ye Han panicked. “What should we do now? Xuecheng Team can’t hold them back for much longer…”
Shan Jingfei was furious. She glared at Xuecheng Team and complained, “I thought Qiu Zeyu would find so capable students. They’re not that useful, after all!”
Ye Hongxue hadn’t been all that keen to help Shan Jingfei in the first place.
They had only accepted the request to obtain a certain number of crystal cores, not protect so girl.
They were doing these students a favor. They weren’t obliged to help them out.
Instead of thanking them for their kindness, Shan Jingfei was complaining. Who the hell did she think she was, a princess?
Ye Hongxue smirked. “Fine. If we’re not good enough, do it on your own!”
After that, Ye Hongxue walked back to the team and sat on the ground to recover her strength.
“You!” Shan Jingfei stared at her in disbelief. “How dare you?!”
Ye Hongxue t her eyes. “Watch ! I don’t owe you anything!”
Shan Jingfei considered herself the most popular girl in the school, and all boys were supposed to be in love with her. She gritted her teeth and sneered at Ye Hongxue. “Have you forgotten your mission? You accepted the request!”
She had never seen Ye Hongxue as a senior student.
Ye Hongxue ant nothing to her.
However, Ye Hongxue wasn’t threatened. “Have you forgotten what our mission is?”
