After hearing from Dan what had happened to Tika, Raydon instantly understood what he ant and responded without even attempting to clear up the misunderstanding that had been created.

Raydon had already guessed that his family would call him back, and he didn't really have a problem with that. In the end, Raydon's family would prove to be a challenge for him, but at the sa ti, he would have to rely on his family in order to accomplish so of the things he desired in this world.
He just didn't need them at the mont and didn't want to waste ti with his family.
''Can you listen to what I have to say before rejecting it outright? '' Upon observing that Raydon did not care and was about to turn around and leave, Galen spoke imdiately.
Raydon stopped and stared at him after hearing this.
From what Raydon could rember, he knew that Galen was different from the other people. When he was still living in the family mansion, there were only a few people who were kind to him, despite the fact that everyone else, including his parents, was cruel to him and looked down their noses at him. And Galen was considered to be one of the good ones.
He thought back to the ti when they were both much younger and Galen had treated him almost like a brother during that ti. Even though Galen distanced himself from him as they got older and tended to mind his own business, his brotherly behavior never changed, and he never treated him badly or held him in low regard.
Raydon chose to listen to Galen because he had no animosity or resentnt for him and believed that what he had to say might also be of interest to him.

Galen continued, realizing Raydon had no intention of taking a seat and having a lengthy conversation.

He didn't know how much Raydon rembered about his previous experiences in the family mansion, but he did know that just knowing that he had been kicked out of the mansion and left to die in the slums was enough to make him despise his family.

He was prepared to take advantage of any chance that presented itself to further his own power.

If an item holder in this world did not have sufficient power and authority, they were required to enroll in this academy established by Families in order to obtain an official item holder identification card.
There were a lot of benefits that ca with joining the academy and getting an official item holder license. The most important of these was the authorization to enter Central City.
The largest item market was just one of the advantages Raydon could gain from Central City, which served as a hub for item holders.
Raydon's expression conveyed a lack of enthusiasm as he asked, "Anything else?"
Although he was aware of the many opportunities that Central City and the academy presented, he also knew that his greedy family had much more to offer.
They would need to give more to convince him, which would be difficult given that they believed there to be a high-ranking individual behind Raydon.
When Galen realized that he was unable to convince Raydon, he let out a sigh and then started talking. "Look, you're probably aware of this as well, but the main reason they want you back is because of your ntor,"
Galen stopped for a second to observe Raydon's response, and when he saw that Raydon nodded, it prompted him to think.
'So that high-rank item holder is really his ntor, huh? What a lucky fellow. ' Galen thought, feeling a little jealous.
''That's why they want to use you to get close to your ntor. So they can give you whatever you want if you co back and bargain with them. ''
Seeing the serious look on Raydon's face, Galen decided to take a mont before playing his final card.
''Look, they assigned the task of trying to persuade you. They are going to have a feast the following week to celebrate my promotion to E-Rank, and if I can persuade you to co back by then, they are going to give 100 green-grade storage expansion orbs as a reward from the family treasury, and your father has promised to give an E-Rank inheritance key. It didn't matter to him if he was angry or resentful toward his family; he ignored those emotions. At the end of the day, he would return to his family if it was going to turn a profit for him. In addition, contrary to what his family believed, he did not have a high-ranking item holder as a ntor.
Raydon started considering his options once he realized how seriously his family was taking the predicant. Raydon only needed to take advantage of this misunderstanding to empty the treasure chest that belonged to his family.
