Chapter 190 - Another Intense Battle
i Terumi was tired. No, she wasn't simply tired, she was dead tired. After Yuna killed Yagura and left the battlefield, the conflict was pretty much over. Shortly after Yuna left, quite a few people in the enemy's army had their fighting spirit reignited, but after i lted a few dozen of them, that changed rather quickly. Although the conflict was over after that, her work was far from done. She still had to et dozens of supposedly important people and talk with them about the current political situation of Kirigakure and the Land of Water in general.
This even included the Daimyo who, after rembering Yuna's words, i considered lting a few tis during their discussion about who the next Mizukage should be, despite i being pretty much the only real choice. Two hours. That was how long that discussion took, despite there being nothing to discuss at all.
When she returned to the command center, which served as her temporary residence as well, she flopped down on her bed and could imdiately feel sleepiness overwhelming her.
"*Sigh* that was so annoying. Although I am really thankful to Yuna for getting rid of Yagura, couldn't she have helped with all that political nonsense as well?"
"You know that is impossible. I am from Konoha, after all."
"Yeah, yeah, I am aware of th…"
"…"
"…"
"…"
"[Lava Style: lting…*Mmph*"
Before i could finish her jutsu, Yuna, who was the person who answered her question, locked lips with her, and monts later, i could feel the familiar feeling of her lips freezing over. Not willing to lose this ti, i imdiately increased her chakra output, causing everything around her to start heating up, while Yuna's side of the room started cooling down.
i wasn't sure why, but the coldness radiating out of Yuna felt incredibly relaxing to her. Usually, she was the one who had to take the initiative, which beca even more pronounced now, that she would beco the fifth Mizukage, but when Yuna was nearby, she always felt like she didn't need to bother about that. She felt like no matter what happened, Yuna would have it under control.
Just like now, when i released a significant amount of her chakra while Yuna was kissing her, resulting in the temperature in her side of the room increasing to a dangerous degree. i was just about to decrease the temperature, to prevent the furniture from burning when an abnormally potent wave of ice chakra washed over the whole room, cooling it down instantly.
i had no idea how Yuna overwheld her chakra this easily, nor did she understand why it gave her a very satisfying sense of security, but what she did understand was, that Yuna's presence, sohow, took a massive burden off of her.
That, of course, didn't an that she was willing to lose against Yuna, so she increased the heat even further and now, that Yuna had to control the temperature in the room as well, i finally felt like she was gaining so ground.
One might call her shaless for abusing the fact that Yuna was regulating the temperature in the room while i could fully concentrate on their "battle", but since Yuna was the one who started doing it and could stop any ti, i didn't see anything wrong with it.
She didn't even notice when Yuna's arms snaked around her and started hugging her, nor did she notice when her arms did the sa to Yuna. The only thing i felt was Yuna's tongue pushing against her own as boiling hot and freezing cold chakra collided, pushing against each other and fighting for dominance.
This stalemate lasted for quite a while but, without fully understanding why, i suddenly felt Yuna breaking the contact between their lips and before i could ask any questions, Yuna vanished and the door to the room opened.
"i-sama, is everything alright?"
Seeing Ao enter the room, i's eyes imdiately grew colder. Ao, however, didn't notice that at all and activated his Byakugan.
"I could feel you flaring your chakra and since this room is shielded from the Byakugan I had to co personally to take a look. What happened, i-sama?"
i couldn't help but panic a little when she saw Ao activate his Byakugan. She wasn't sure why, but she didn't want him to find out that she was together with Yuna a few monts ago. She wanted to speak up to stop Ao from searching the room with his Byakugan, but it was already too late.
"How weird. I could have sworn that I felt another chakra signature, but my Byakugan isn't showing anything, nor can I find another person in the room."
To i's surprise, Ao didn't find Yuna's presence at all, which she found beyond weird. The only possibility she could think of was, that Yuna left the room with her [Flying Thunder God Seal], but that should have at least left behind a chakra signature that Ao could pick up, so i was pretty sure that, that wasn't what Yuna did.
Monts later, when she realized that Ao wouldn't find Yuna, different thoughts started appearing in her head. She was enjoying her ti with Yuna quite a bit, and their battle wasn't over yet, either, but Ao actually interrupted them. The more she thought about it, the angrier she got. Ao, naturally, noticed i's anger as well.
"M-i-sama, did I do sothing wrong?"
"Ao, I will lt you."
Feeling the temperature of her side of the room rise, Ao backed away a few steps from i.
"M-i-sama, please calm down. If I did sothing to anger you, I apologize."
i snorted in annoyance, before shooing Ao away. Although she was angry at him for interrupting her fun, she wouldn't actually hurt one of her most loyal retainers because of it.
The mont Ao scurried out of the door, Yuna jumped down from the ceiling as if nothing happened and looked at i with a smirk. Although i really wanted to know how Yuna managed to hide from the Byakugan, she was pretty sure that Yuna had more important matters to discuss with her. Although she would like to go for another kiss, she suppressed her desire for now and ntally prepared herself for whatever Yuna wanted to talk about.
"Well, I am sure you are not just here to play around, right? Say, what you want to say."
"Hehe, although you are right, I wouldn't mind doing another…battle. What do you think? No longer than five minutes"
A small pink blush appeared on i's cheeks before she nodded her head.
"Well, if it is just for five minutes, it should be fine."
