Small rabbits with tiny horns pointing forward between their ears, large mice with electric pockets on their cheeks, various breeds of dogs with nurous features, and dozens of small foxes, each with different numbered tails, but gan was not interested in any of them.
The Tar's face twitched as he forced a smile, continuing to lead her through the ones available. Nothing caught her eye; anwhile, Jackson had already located a suitable partner for Alijah, a purple ferret that could turn invisible.
Its combat capabilities weren't very good currently, but it would beco much stronger if she took care of it long enough to break through to the next stage.
"Hmm..." He thought, standing back, watching as she looked through all the Spirit Beasts; a few of the more difficult ones caught her eye.
A large wolf with small gusts of wind blowing from his collarbones, blowing down his back, a lion with grey fur, and a black mane with silver fangs and claws with the tip of his tail burning with black fire.
Jackson grabbed her shoulder, "Even I would have trouble forming a pact with one of these... What about a bird? Wouldn't that be a good partner?"
"We do have so excellent Sky Raider Falcon Eggs that are almost done incubating; their mother is present, would you like to inspect her?" The Tar replied with a smile, extending his arm out and directing them to the corner.
gan walked over as he ran over to one of the incubation chambers and grabbed one of the eggs, running around and standing next to the mother in a large cage.
The Sky Raider Falcon was nearly three tis the size of a typical falcon. Its curved beak shined, reflecting the indestructible tal it was made from.
The beak extended up, following the curve of the falcon's head, creating a mask of tallic feathers around its eyes. It had a white chest with grey feathers everywhere else. The remiges and rectrices were additionally composed of tal, creating dangerously sharp wings.
"They're pretty small starting off and pretty easy to train. You would need to wear a specialized glove, though; they're pretty common among archers too!" The Tar explained, holding out the egg.
gan stared at the mother in her cage for a long ti, walking around and inspecting it before nodding and taking the egg, "Yeah! I like it!"
"We'll take the one that's closest to hatching..." Jackson interjected, grabbing the egg and returning it to the Tar with a glare.
"O-of course!" He chuckled, taking the egg and rushing to the incubator before returning with another egg with a laugh, "How silly of ! Will that be all?"
gan took the egg and looked at Jackson, who nodded, replying, "Thank you."
He turned to leave with gan as she asked, "Are you not getting any?"
"Huh?" He instinctively replied, snapping out of his thoughts, "Oh, nah, I already have two."
"What?" She exclaid, "When did this happen?"
"Oh, well, I received an egg as part of a bonus quest and a Spirit Beast shortly after as a prize..." He explained as they passed a small kennel filled with small wolf pups. One of them began whining, catching gan's attention.
She knelt next to it as it began licking her hand excitedly, and she smiled, "Jax... What about him..?"
"What?" He asked, turning around and sighing, "You want another..?"
"Please..? He's so cute!" She pleaded, pouting up at him with big eyes, the wolf pup mimicking her and whining softly.
"Ugh, fine!" He smiled, whistling loudly to grab the Tar's attention as he ran over and quickly gathered a black collar and leash.
Jackson grabbed it, walking back to the counter with their haul, placing the skillbook, small pouch, daggers, cage covered by a cloth, and the wolf puppy who wagged its tail rapidly as gan put the egg next to him as he sniffed it and licked it, nudging it with his nose.
"Did you find everything you were looking for?" One of the attendants asked with a smile, finally breaking away from her task, grabbing the objects individually, and inputting them into a small tablet.
"Yes, thank you." Jackson replied, his eyes briefly glancing down at the black widow tattoo on her hand between her thumb and index finger.
"Is this your first ti here?" She asked, inputting the last item and looking between the two.
"Yes." Both replied as the two won still sitting smirked.
"Great! We don't accept CA Credits, but we offer an exchange service of ten credits for one Widow Token. Everything you've purchased today cos out to 1,999,999 tokens." She explained with a smile, clasping her hands together.
"What!?!" gan exclaid, her eyes bulging as she covered her mouth, turning to Jackson, "That's twenty million credits! Jax, you can spend that much!"
"If you cannot afford the conversion, we do offer a Credit System..." She interrupted, licking her lips as her eyes twinkled, "It's quick, easy, and simple to establish!"
"Sure." Jackson replied, who winked at the unsettled gan, patting her shoulder, reassuring her with a look that told her to trust him, and she nodded, responding with a weak smile.
"The conversion of credits to tokens is much more favorable, two to one, but if you are unable to pay the entire balance by the end of the month, the remaining balance will occur an interest charge of 25%." She explained with a smile.
"Well... Four million is better than twenty..." gan muttered as she did calculations in her head, looking up at him, "Are you sure this is a good idea, Jax..?"
"Yeah." He smiled at her, nudging her arm with his, returning to the attendant, "I want to enroll in the credit."
"Perfect! I'll just need your CA Card, and I'll set up your account real quick." She said as she handed Jackson all of their purchases, taking his card case, removing his card from it, and inserting it into the tablet, creating his account.
Shortly afterward, she handed him his case, his climber's card and a black card with a white widow signed on the face, "Here you are! There was a nominal fee of two tokens to create the card and establish the line of credit. Your total balance due before the end of the month is four million."
"Thank you." Jackson replied, taking everything and turning to leave, exiting back to the long hallway.
"Jax, that's a million credits in interest if you don't pay it back..." gan expressed her concern, quickly walking to keep up with his pace.
"I could have paid it in full right now, but honestly... I'm not worried about it at all." Jackson replied.
