The voice rang out loud, sinking into Oural's head as the truth slamd into his brain.

He looked at his own body and saw it enveloped in cracks, and from within those cracks, one could sense a bubbling solar energy.

In the next instant, Nolan shot to his feet as he rose up from the ground, hurriedly retreating from Ourak, whose body only cracked even more until the golden energy within him expanded.

"NOOOOOOO!!!"

"CURSE YOU, CELESTIAL!!"

"CURSE YOUUU!!"

KAABBBOOOOOOOOM!

A devastating explosion rocked the entire area, a mushroom of solar energy, blood, and flesh billowing into the air.

The explosion was so powerful that it sent the burning Nolan off his feet, smashing him into the ground, as he was sent tumbling uncontrollably before finally slamming into a wall.

His Kratos crown instantly faded away from his head, and he dropped to the ground with a plump like a man just one more step from death!

The loud voice bellowed out as Nolan heaved a loud sigh of relief, his eyes slowly closing.

Instantly, a brilliant flash of light covered his body, and in the next mont, he faded away into nothing.

The arena, along with the cheering crowd, suddenly collapsed into themselves, the entire thing fading into nothing until it beca an unending depth of darkness.

In the next instant, Nolan's eyes snapped open in shock as he took a large gulp of air.

Imdiately, he stirred awake, feeling the peaceful air slam into his nostrils, and every nerve in his body started to calm down.

Slowly, he looked around the room and stood up in shock when he witnessed sothing strange.

Right now, there was nobody but Nolan in the massive arena, and imdiately, Nolan raised his head to the top of the platform and noticed the three Ascendant students looking at him in shock.

"He... He scored 125/100!!" The woman amongst them said in shock as they all turned to look at Nolan, who rose up and grabbed his bag before clearing his throat, embarrassed.

Only one gaze was all Nolan needed to figure out that it was nightti already.

If he rembered correctly, he was sent into the trial grounds in the morning, and yet it was night, with everyone having left already.

That revealed to Nolan that he was probably the last person to finish the exam, and that had caused the three Ascendants to have no choice but to wait for him throughout the entire day.

Slowly, Nolan watched as one of them got down to him, hovering in the air, before commanding,

"Your records have been kept. You can leave now..."

Contrary to the scolding that Nolan was expecting, what he got was the order to leave, and it deeply surprised him.

Still, he gave a nod before scurrying off quickly, away from the Newcor's Hall under the amused gazes of the Ascendants.

"He wasted our ti. A lot. 10 hours since the last person left..." One of the Ascendants took notice with a slight frown.

"But his score is also the highest amongst all of the participants. So, I guess it was worth it in the end..." Another ca to Nolan's defense, and they all shrugged it off as the platform they stood on retreated back to the ground and they also soared upwards, disappearing into the distance.

A loud exhale rang out from Nolan's lips as he opened the door and collapsed onto his sofa.

Right now, he felt incredibly exhausted, and his brain seed to be throbbing in his head.

It was nothing short of a monuntal headache.

Still,

GRRRUUUUUM

His stomach's rumbling echoed through the walls, and Nolan rubbed his belly, feeling the hunger reverberate within him.

He had not eaten anything throughout the day, and now the hunger wanted to devour him alive.

So he was given no choice but to force down his exhaustion and walked over to the kitchen, quickly making sothing for himself.

Downing the huge plate of steak, he felt the furious screams and defiant roars of hunger finally settle down, and imdiately, Nolan crawled back to his bedroom.

He had promised himself the other day that he would review his notes one last ti, but Nolan just couldn't do it anymore. He was too exhausted.

He also had new rewards and level-up cards that he ought to properly set up, but his eyelids were too heavy.

So in the end, he simply slamd into his bed, and less than five minutes later, the sound of deep snoring rang throughout the room.

The golden panel flashed before Nolan's unconscious face before dimming as the room was completely enveloped by the sound of deep snoring.

The golden rays of sunlight poured through the clean window panes, bringing a brilliant color of golden energy into the dimly lit room, and also a peaceful wave of air that slamd onto Nolan's face from the slightly opened louvers.

[WAKE UP, NOLAN!!]

In the next instant, Nolan roughly jumped into the air as his eyes snapped open abruptly, scanning the entire room in a hurry, his head still groggy, and his face buried in his palms.

"What!? What!?" he scread out loud.

[I was just waking you up for school. Don't want you to be late, you know.]

The system spoke coyly as Nolan held his head.

Now, he was starting to have a headache from the system's decision to wake him up early in the morning as if a bandit had broken into his house.

Still, the truth was undeniable as Nolan rose from the bed and moved towards the direction of the bathroom.

It was ti to freshen up and go for the second exam.

Hopefully, it wouldn't be as monuntally difficult as the last one.
