"God of War miracles can indeed attack with weather, increase strength and speed, give ordinary people an extra life, give commanders three extra lives, but—is there a possibility that those soldiers’ corpses disappearing after their second death are actually the price of the miracle?"

Betty seed to think of sothing as she spoke, glancing carefully at Ren: "Well, though objectively speaking, these corpses disappearing does reduce the beastn’s fear and allows their charge to continue unobstructed—that’s definitely a benefit..."

"You don’t need to force an explanation. These corpses being taken by the God of War as paynt—can that provide sothing for the God of War?" Ren looked at her with amusent. Ever since seeing the landmines and rewinding to see what happened, she’d been acting this carefully.

"I wouldn’t know that." Betty shook her head: "I’m not a god. Many things about gods can’t be known. After you beco a god, you can ask the goddess. But when the goddess was still mortal, I traveled the continent with her and saw many gods who required living sacrifices from believers. Maybe for gods, this really could have so benefit."

Ren nodded slightly, wanting to shift his attention to this mortal war, but his mind unconsciously thought about those corpses... then unconsciously looked at his blank godhead... Almost there! Just one or two percent left to complete accumulation!

"Enemies have entered attack range—catapults ready!"

In the ’TV,’ Lucina’s voice suddenly rang out, pulling Ren’s attention back again. Still that familiar sound of windlass release—magic bombs that had just been activated were launched into the distance. Whistling sounds kept ringing out as the minotaurs who’d just charged through the ’minefield’ once again faced devastating strikes!

Fist-sized magic bombs traced long parabolic arcs through the air before falling onto the distant battlefield.

This didn’t require precision strikes—just fire coverage!

Countless fla whirlwinds exploded across the battlefield again, echoing with the flas from the earlier landmines.

Faintly, the explosions of countless fla whirlwinds seed about to form fla tornadoes.

"Retract windlass, continue firing!"

Lucina’s command rang out again.

Countless magic bombs kept being launched onto the battlefield. Who knows how many enemies were blown to pieces, how many were burned to ash.

But soon, those bodies that had been bombed beyond recognition returned to normal and began charging again...

The God of War’s miracle kept gaining value, but if you looked closely, you’d discover that after resurrection, these people weren’t the sa as ordinary people anymore. Their essence... was more like ice spirits. Their flesh seed to change greatly during reconstruction, but their combat power was trending upward.

The miracle’s price was much greater than imagined, but now, the beastn legions had no minds left to think about any of this. They just charged madly like lunatics!

Dazzling magic bombs kept bombarding these giant bull knights. So what if their bodies mutated? So what if they could resurrect? So what if they had God of War miracle bonuses?! Under bombardnt from several more magic bombs, they’d still fall, still burn, and still... disappear.

Incredibly eerie! But right now nobody found it eerie.

It seed even Twilight City’s defenders had begun being affected by the massive battle intent, entering fearless mode.

The normal ancient situation where 20% casualties would cause a rout was impossible among these minotaur knights!

Even the scattered troops behind them were the sa!

The charge continued.

In so areas further back on the battlefield, the high priestess frowned: "How can the Kingdom of Dawn have so many mages? How can these mages bombard such distant areas?!"

Even with the God of War granting them extra lives, facing this endless bombardnt seed insufficient.

With poor intelligence, not knowing the power of magic bombs or the Kingdom of Dawn’s magic bomb production capacity, he would ultimately pay a bloody price for this.

"Priests, we enjoy the offerings brought by tribes, enjoy the glory brought by the God of War—we should give back to our people! Give back to the God of War! Prepare the ultimate sacrifice!"

The mont these two words ’ultimate sacrifice’ were spoken, everyone’s expressions changed.

But before they could react, the high priestess had already begun chanting in a low voice. A massive pressure suddenly appeared, even forcing the elephants outside to lie on the ground, not daring to move. But the priests on scene, their eyes originally full of hesitation... how could hesitation continue?

Soon their hesitation was covered by madness and numbness. No longer struggling at all, they all fixed their gazes on the flas of war.

Fanaticism surged in their hearts!

They seed to have forgotten everything about themselves—forgotten themselves, forgotten relatives, forgotten clansn, forgotten everything—rembering only god and war!

Low chanting kept ringing out, mad mumbling kept echoing.

Echoing over the entire battlefield.

This war wasn’t quite what the beastn had imagined.

Not like the battlefields they’d experienced!

They were the Teylir Emirates’ elite, battle-tested warriors and priests. From adulthood, they’d been fighting constantly.

Fighting strong mbers of their own tribes for control, fighting surrounding beastn tribes for spoils, fighting neighboring countries... They weren’t green recruits. They’d experienced far too many wars, but they’d never imagined they’d encounter such a battlefield.

With both sides still over a thousand ters apart, battle had already begun. Baptism of blood and fire, roaring magic and explosions kept ringing through their ranks.

Fla whirlwinds could actually cover the entire battlefield... they really hadn’t thought of that.

They’d once fantasized about easily breaking through Twilight City. They’d once thought this fortress would be impregnable and hard to take for ages. They’d once imagined reinforcents constantly appearing from inside, the entire area becoming oceans of carnage and mountains of death, countless rivers turning to blood... They’d thought of so many possibilities, but never imagined encountering such a situation!

Most of the beastn legion who still had reason thought this way. Because of this, the high priestess understood that without the God of War’s miracle, their army might have already been defeated!

But how could such a large-scale battle just end like this?!

Ultimate sacrifice!

It must be perford!

It must be perford imdiately!

The high priestess kept chanting, growing ever more resolute.
