"Your master, the Goddess of Magic, created magic from scratch when she was mortal. Now having a mortal create self-charging arrays isn’t that strange, is it?" Ren smiled and shook his head: "As for why you never thought of it, it’s actually simple—because you’ve always been with the Goddess of Magic."
"You’ve always been in environnts where magic power isn’t scarce, whether in the mortal realm or the divine realm. And for you, researching arrays like this wouldn’t be worth it."
In the past, Ren had ntioned wanting a device or magic array like this multiple tis, but Betty had shot down every suggestion.
His knowledge wasn’t sufficient, so he’d always thought it really couldn’t be done, or maybe would take a very long ti. Rather than research this, better to develop magic bombs or ray guns.
That’s how they ended up putting this problem on the back burner.
But this wild mage was different. He was a mortal, and apparently an ostracized magician at that. He didn’t have his own magical anomaly zone, couldn’t even train in the shared magical anomaly zones of the capital’s major factions.
Under those circumstances, driven by certain needs, him developing this technology wasn’t strange at all.
Can only say he was truly a genius, accomplishing sothing no one throughout history had done, or if soone had, they never made it public.
Magicians have always liked keeping their techniques secret.
"You also said earlier that this array isn’t complete or comprehensive, and has lots of problems..."
Seeing Betty still looked dejected, Ren started to console her, but Betty shook her head: "I really am inferior to him in this area. My limited perspective constrained my innovative thinking. His ideas are excellent. Even if incomplete now, even with serious problems, I believe with his intelligence, he’ll solve these issues sooner or later..."
"No, without our help, he probably won’t last until then."

Both Ren and Betty froze.
Then the relevant information quickly flooded their minds.
Magic power rejection syndro was a very rare magical disease. If it appeared in ordinary people, at most they just couldn’t beco magicians.
But if it appeared in magicians, it was a complete disaster!
The body would treat magic power as foreign invaders, trying to clear it through rejection reactions. When official magicians’ internal magic power dropped to a certain level, they’d automatically drain life force to absorb magic power.
When magic power rejection syndro hit official mages, this would happen: magic power constantly getting expelled, then the body automatically draining life force to replenish magic power, then the body expelling that magic power again...
You could say magicians with magic power rejection syndro were like that elentary math swimming pool problem—water flowing in on one side, flowing out on the other, except what got consud in the process was life force.
The only effective treatnt was putting yourself in a magic-rich area, letting your active magic absorption always exceed the rejection rate. That way, life force would be preserved.
But this wild mage didn’t have that kind of environnt... In a flash, both Ren and Betty suddenly understood why this wild mage was researching self-charging arrays!
He wanted to use arrays to gather magic power... to save himself!
"Doll, how fast can you perfect this self-charging magic array?" After a long silence, Ren suddenly spoke.
"Two days. Fastest would be two days, slowest no more than five. I can guarantee the perfected self-charging array will be risk-free and able to charge storage runes, as well as... charge magicians."
Betty thought carefully, then explained: "Since this kind of self-charging magic array is appearing for the first ti, I’ve never encountered it before. Even though it uses the most ordinary low-level runes, I’ll still need ti to study it."
"That’s already pretty fast." Ren nodded slightly: "Then go ahead and perfect it. Oh, and if possible, I think you could build the self-charging array into a ’reservoir’ with countless channels. That way, when the array gets bigger, it could simultaneously provide magic power to multiple Magic Conductors or magical devices."
"Actually, like our ray guns, it’s all about... universality." Betty nodded slightly.
"Exactly. If we could transmit through channels to very distant places, that would be even more perfect. I’d call these ports—output ports."
Ren quickly explained his thinking.
In his view, self-charging arrays could totally be used like power plants.
Self-charging arrays would gather massive amounts of magic power, then transmit it through ports and circuits to wherever needed...
Once successful, Magic Conductor production and use would beco incredibly easy, potentially bringing Magic Conductors into every household.
"No problem, that’s simple." After clarifying the task, Betty instantly vanished.
Since such heaven-defying magic arrays as self-charging arrays were already complete, transmitting gathered magic power to specific areas would be simple for Betty!
"Talk about lucky!" Ren let out a long breath.
Things were going much smoother than he’d imagined.
Plus the appearance of self-charging arrays sparked lots of possibilities in his mind.
"Lord Ren, after Betty perfects the technology, how do we get it to that wild mage? He’s not a believer of the Goddess or you. If we directly teach him knowledge like this, isn’t that inappropriate? Even though he invented it originally, he can’t do the enhancents... Should we use this to demand his conversion? Otherwise, we’d have to pass the technology through the Magic Net, which doesn’t really fit your style..."
Just as Ren was pondering how to expand his faith and quickly beco a god once this ’power plant’ appeared, the book’s voice suddenly interrupted his thoughts: "No, I’ve got a better idea."
