[Animals usually do not awaken and only rely on their genetics for the evolutions. This is mostly done by eating other creatures and ingesting them. While the thods of humans can also be used on them, these thods were mostly made to cater to the human beings.]

[The one you use is one of the safest and close to perfect thods as it has a low death rate. If used in the spatial dinsion, the death rate can be brought to zero.]

[Humans have a limit to the amount of tis they can evolve and so do animals but Animals have a lower resistance to evolution. This ans that they can undergo multiple "Awakenings", comparatively more than human beings.]

[To get accurate answers, I will need more conclusive data from experintation.]

'Alright, got it. As long as there aren't any major negative impacts with using this thod.' Keith thought.

[….]

'I thought you were asleep.'

[Nah, I was watching and didn't really want to spoonfeed you but I have a question. I clearly wrote about the differences between mutation and awakening in the novel. Did you fucking forget about it?]

'Uhhh… looks like it. I an, in my defence you literally wrote like five whole chapters of explanation. I read a few paragraphs and skimd through the rest.' Keith replied as he tried to defend himself.

[Well, suffer now then.]

'…. Can't you help out just this once?'

[No.]

"Atleast give a clue or sothing… it's not like I'm asking you to give another class about the differences."

[You lazy bitch, you still don't have any intention of learning about it do you? Nah, fuck it, I'm not telling you shit. Blehhhh.]

Keith let out a sigh and sat down on the ground as he closed his eyes.

'Mutation and awakening…. Mutation and awakening… coonnn.'

He tried his best to rember but at the end of the day, he realised that he couldn't.

'Hey Emma… let's make a deal. You tell the difference between them and in return, you can ask anything. I'll do anything as long as it's not unrealistic or sothing that I really don't wanna do.'

[…]

[Okay. Drop everything and leave this continent right now. Including Miya, Clara and Alia. You can co back, but only after you are done with your mission, which is to cause irreparable damage to the other Keith.]

'Hmm, you must have a reason for this right?'

[He got Balmond and turned him into an undead. You know how mind numbingly broken that guy is right? And now that he's a fucking zombie, there's a loooot of stuff he can do compared to before. His weaknesses have changed and on top of that if you don't cause havoc, he will heal and co here.]

[And based on what I've seen until now, there is no way you can beat him even if you use all your cards well and get strong. You're atleast ten whole years behind him when it cos to your growth.]

Keith stared silently at the wolf in front of him as he thought about it.

'This is a critical mont in our relationship. Don't you think that I should at least stay until things stabilise before I leave?'

[That's your problem. Isn't this the sa way you gave quests to Vincent? I'm doing the sa. Pick your poison Keith. Do you want to stay back here for a temporary illusion of a family that's going to get destroyed in two years. Or do you want to stop the threat and save your family at the risk of breaking your relationships?]

Keith frowned as he looked at this ssage, "Why are you being so…."

[Heartless? I'm just learning from you hehe.]

'Hehe my ass. Fuck you….' he cursed as he shook his head. The decision was hard to make but he tried to negotiate one last ti.

"Atleast let talk to them. One last ti, please."

[Okay.]

'Thanks, now tell about mutations and awakening.'

[So you didn't forget… alright. Mutation is basically a creature changing it's species. Either to sothing that already exists but different from it's previous one, or a species that is completely new.]

[Awakening on the other hand, is limited. The species stays the sa while you get various different abilities. Humans are still humans at the end of the day and this includes the so called gods. They're just people with extraordinary powers.]

[Using awakening on animals will work in the sa way. It'll make them extrely strong but at the end of the day, they'll be the sa species. They'll still be wolves and will be limited by that.]

[You've read the last few hundred chapters of my novel right? And you know that no matter how strong Clark had gotten at that ti, he still did not have the capability to fight thousands of different species of monsters on his own.]

"Well, the main reason for that is that he never awakened a second ti, that idiot."

[While awakening the third ti does remove so limitations connected to your species, it doesn't change it entirely. Just keep that in mind.]

"Alright got it, thanks." Keith said and send Bee back to the wolf land before he left his spatial dinsion.

He then turned to look at the direction in which Alia and Clara were, and instantly teleported to them.

"Oh. My. God!" Alia whispered loudly as she put her hand on her chest, "Stop doing that… I can't handle jump scares."

Keith nodded and took a few steps away from them before he turned around to face them both. He could help but glance at the large pot of stew that was boiling close to them.

"Stew?" he asked and Clara nodded.

"Yeah, Miya said that she wanted to eat sothing spicy so we decided to make so for all of us." she said and hesitated a bit before staring at the ground in front of her, "Also… about yesterday…"

Keith nodded, "Yeah, about yesterday… I understand that both of you need so space and ti to think things over. I agree with that, so I will do exactly that. Think things through and make your decisions while I'll also do the sa."

He then looked at Alia and gave her a curt nod before he turned towards the door. As he walked, he spoke.

"And sorry if it made you uncomfortable. I promise that I won't do it again."

Alia silently stood in place for a few seconds before she turned to look at Clara, "Why do I feel like he's acting weird?"

"I have the sa feeling…"

"Do you think that he's ssing with our minds right now? To make us feel weird?" Alia asked as she frowned, but even she found it hard to believe herself.

Clara just didn't respond to her friend and just went back to stirring the pot that was in front of her.

Keith headed over to Miya's room next and knocked once, "Miya?"

"Papa!! Let's play house! You promised-" she said and opened the door as she bead at him, "to play with ."

"I did huh…" Keith said as he walked in while talking to Emma at the sa ti, 'Hey… let -'

[Do what you want. I want you to leave this place by tomorrow morning.]

'Thanks.' Keith said ntally and grinned as he sat down on the huge carpet on which Miya usually played house.

"So what am I today?" he asked as he looked at her and Miya brought her index finger to her chin, "Hmm… I don't have princess clothes for you so you can't be princess."

She then thought for a few more seconds before she giggled and ran out of the room while leaving Keith alone.

Keith instinctively opened up his system screen and checked what was going in her mind before he felt like he was royally trapped.

Miya ran over to her parents' room and rummaged the wardrobe until she found one of Alia's dresses. She then visualised Keith in it and then tossed it back inside before she began to do the sa with multiple other dresses.

'… this is probably the last ti I'll be seeing her…' Keith thought even though he knew that he could always summon her into his spatial dinsion and spend ti with her whenever he wished to.

But he didn't know whether Emma would allow that.

"Hey Em-"

[No. I don't want any sort of emotional stuff when you're in an important mission. Take this seriously. To fight a monster, you'll have to turn into a monster yourself… as long as you don't lose yourself that is.]

'I'm kinda starting to hate this.'

[I wonder why Vincent turned out this way.]

'... Was it really my fault?' he asked as really did feel like trash at the mont. The frustration was climbing up at a steady pace and he did not know how to get rid of it.

[Who knows? Prove it to that it wasn't your fault and that he's just weak minded. Prove it to by stopping the other Keith and saving this continent. Or should I say, your family.]

[Actually, let ask you this question. If Clark really hated you and way stronger than you, what do you think he would do if he sees you and your family?]

"He'll fight and kill brutally."

[Right. He's extrely petty and vengeful but he's also very straightforward. He won't really touch your family unless they started to beco a pain in his ass. Now, what would you do if… let's say Timmy killed your wives and Miya?]

"I'll show him true hell. I'll take away everything that's his, show him what actual despair feels like and then, I'll make sure that he lives… but as a vegetable."

[Exactly. And the other Keith doesn't wait for a reason to do that.]
