As the stone door opened, bursts of black mist emanated from inside, causing Chen Guan to instinctively call Warring States and the pets to retreat a short distance.

From a considerable distance, Chen Guan heard a sound from inside that resembled the flapping of wings.
Sure enough, in a short while, sothing flew out from within.
The reason it was called a "thing" was because Chen Guan didn't know what to call it.
This creature had the wings of a bee, body of a lizard, eyes of a frog, feet of a centipede, tail of a scorpion, mouth of a silkworm, and teeth of a snake. It looked incredibly bizarre, with an incongruous, eerie appearance.
Chen Guan's heart stirred: "This thing looks like a stitched-together monster, but it doesn't seem like it's stitched at the sa ti. It's truly strange, and I don't know what it is."
"After so many years, a human has finally arrived here. Human, tell
your na." The stitched-together monster unexpectedly spoke in a human voice.
However, its voice was odd, not as smooth as a human's, as if its vocal cords were very thin, giving off the feeling of a mbrane.
"I am Ming King, who are you?" Chen Guan knew this relic likely belonged to an ancient era, perhaps another inheritance.
"I am the Gu God of the Gu God Temple, waiting here for humans of the new era to inherit the power of the Gu God Temple. I've waited countless ages, and now that you've finally arrived, prepare to receive the inheritance." The stitched-together monster said.
Its voice always had a kind of annoying quality, clearly just one person speaking, yet it was sowhat botherso to hear.
"What kind of power inheritance is the Gu God Temple?" Chen Guan remained skeptical about the legacies of ancient eras.
So legacies were indeed powerful, like the Pure Yang An, which was undeniably strong.
But not all of the era's legacies were powerful, and not all eras were prosperous.
The Gu God buzzed: "The power of the Gu God Temple's inheritance is the power of creation, life, and death. You can carry the power of the Gu God Temple's inheritance, continue to grow, until you beco strong enough to fight the Sky Secret Spirit."
"What is ant by creation, life, and death?" Hearing these terms, Chen Guan felt that the Gu God Temple's inheritance might be sothing left by a very powerful era.
After all, any power related to these terms was extrely powerful.
"Humans always have too many questions, so I will show you instead. Once you've seen it, you will naturally understand." The Gu God said, standing still.
Chen Guan could not discern what it was doing, but he vaguely sensed that so kind of power was emanating from the Gu God's body.
Before long, Chen Guan suddenly heard many sounds. Turning his head, he quickly gathered the pets and took to the skies.
He saw swarms of Secret Spirits rushing toward the Gu God Temple like tidal waves.
Poisonous lizards, sand scorpions, sand snakes, centipedes, poison frogs, poison bees, and a creature that looked like both a silkworm and a caterpillar.
Originally, the desert was a resource-poor area, and such Secret Spirits weren't sothing you'd see at any given ti.
But now, the Secret Spirits here were countless, probably numbering in the thousands or tens of thousands.
Soon these Secret Spirits gathered outside the grand door of the Gu God Temple, assembling in front of the Gu God.
These Secret Spirits originally had hostile relations, yet at this mont gathered together in an unexpectedly quiet manner, without any fights or even conflicts occurring.
They all looked in the direction of the Gu God, their gazes a bit strange.
"The greatness of life begins with creation, let's create new life together." With the Gu God's words, those initially calm Secret Spirits began to stir.
Chen Guan watched in shock as these Secret Spirits began an unabashed assembly.
All sorts of Secret Spirits entangled with each other, doing indescribable things.
Had it only been this, Chen Guan wouldn't have been so amazed, but he astonishingly witnessed even interspecies coded actions.
Chaos, utter chaos.
"So this so-called creation, life, and death is rely the ability to emit aphrodisiac capabilities?" Chen Guan inwardly scorned.
While this power might be sowhat impressive, if it was rely the core strength of an era, it seed a bit too weak.
To rely on this power to defeat the Celestial Secret Realm was nothing more than daydreaming.
However, Chen Guan felt that it couldn't be that simple and continued to see what else the Gu God could do.
Soon, Chen Guan's disdainful expression turned to shock.
Because after a brief fusion, the female Secret Spirits quickly beca pregnant.
How quick? Three minutes ago, they were still entwined in madness, three minutes later, the females were already in labor.
And this wasn't just a rare instance; most female Secret Spirits were giving birth.
"Wow, you truly shouldn't be called the Gu God, but the God of Sending Offspring. Even the Goddess of rcy could not match your delivery capabilities." Chen Guan mused to himself.
But what happened next made Chen Guan's gaze even more subtle.
Because the offspring born from these Secret Spirits, except for so oviparous ones that hadn't yet hatched, were indescribably peculiar in their appearance.
Chen Guan really had no idea how they did it, but amongst these Secret Spirits, so with snake bodies and centipede heads, so with centipede bodies and poison bee wings, and others even looked like frogs with the heads of poison bees.
These originally disparate Secret Spirits actually mated, and Chen Guan was sowhat confounded as to how they accomplished this.
Not to ntion the issue of reproductive isolation, just the size difference, how did they manage it?
Although most looked bizarre, there were so quite pleasing to the eye.
For example, the lizard with bee wings looked rather agreeable.
But many others looked quite strange, like the caterpillar with centipede feet, which looked even more terrifying.
The Gu God's body emitted a kind of Primordial Energy, enveloping those newly born strange Secret Spirits, and then Chen Guan saw those new Secret Spirits growing at an incredibly fast pace.
In almost a mont's ti, they had reached the size of mature bodies.
"Death is the ultimate destination of life." The Gu God said calmly.
Those newborn Secret Spirits then rushed at the Secret Spirits that birthed them, tearing and devouring their parents.
The older Secret Spirits seed bewitched, allowing themselves to be bitten without resistance, even to death.
As they devoured their parents, they grew larger and stronger.
When nothing more could be devoured, they began to battle each other.
Various oddly-shaped Secret Spirits engaged in slaughter, and soon Chen Guan realized these creatures were not chaotically killing each other.
Their battles were more like a chanism of elimination, or survival of the fittest.
The weak males and females were eliminated, and only the strongest had the right to continue reproducing.
