Chapter 782: Chapter 782: Great Cave Heaven Secret Spirit
Chen Guan arrived at the entrance of the Ji Family’s Great Cave Heaven disguised as Zi Donglai, claiming to visit the Ji Family, though everyone in the Ji Family could naturally see through his intentions.
However, they pretended to be ignorant and did not expose Zi Donglai.
One reason is that the Ji Family and Zi Donglai have no conflicting interests, and secondly, the Ji Family is currently overwheld with troubles and has no energy to deal with these trivial matters.
Moreover, the Ji Family has interests in the Pengxuan Grotto Heaven. If they trouble Zi Donglai, their interests in both the Grotto Heaven and the Blessed Land might be affected.
There’s even a possibility of being wildly retaliated against; they certainly don’t want to use their interests to avenge others.
The interests related to Zi Donglai currently include the Southern Heavenly Kingdom’s Chen Guan, Abyss City’s Jin Taohua, Demon King City’s Demon King, and the Blessed Land’s Ji Nanhong, all of whom are very tough characters.
The senior mbers of the Ji Family had a quick eting and decided to allow Zi Donglai to enter the Ji Family’s Great Cave Heaven.
This matter is unrelated to the Ji Family; they let anyone in regardless of who suffers or benefits, that’s their own concern.
Chen Guan successfully entered the Ji Family’s Great Cave Heaven and was randomly teleported inside.
When Chen Guan’s surroundings returned to normal, he found himself in a strange city.
Chen Guan surveyed the architectural style around him and could roughly confirm that this was the Ji Family he had visited with Da Luo ngdie.
However, back then, Chen Guan was trapped inside the statue in the Divine Hall, unable to move and completely unaware of the external situation.
Without much hesitation, after surveying his location, Chen Guan headed directly out of the city.
He wasn’t really visiting the Ji Family, so it was best to leave quickly.
Before arriving, Chen Guan already had a general understanding of the Ji Family’s Great Cave Heaven.
Although leaving Ji Family’s city is dangerous, it’s not entirely so. North of the Ji Family’s city is a desert region where resources are extrely scarce; developnt and investnt don’t yield proportional returns, and encounters with unknown Secret Spirits in the desert are quite likely, posing substantial risks.
Currently, only so Great Cave Heaven Powerhouses unable to obtain better resources venture into the desert to hunt Secret Spirits.
Chen Guan extended his fingers, tracing patterns in the air, spiritual power emitting peculiar lines from his fingertips until they ford the words: "Except for my own Secret Law, all Secret Laws are ineffective on ."
Such a written Secret Law essentially makes him Invulnerable to All Techniques.
If not restricted by the rule that a single Secret Law cannot include multiple decisive conditions, Chen Guan would have loved to incorporate Secret Techniques, Secret Skills, Secret Collections, and more.
Although he could write that all powers cannot affect his body, doing so presents a logical issue. If no power can affect him, he wouldn’t be able to contact anything, not even stand on the ground.
After all, contact requires the exertion of power.
The ultimate consequence is uncertain, but it’s certain he would have difficulties hunting other Secret Spirits.
Therefore, Chen Guan temporarily writes the Secret Law to make Secret Laws ineffective on him, at least preventing him from being directly killed by a Secret Law.
He can continue modifying the Secret Law later, slowly crafting one that best suits him, or use different Secret Laws for different situations.
After leaving Ji Family’s city, the desert was not far away, an endless sea of yellow sand, without a trace of humanity.
Chen Guan cautiously entered the desert, fortunate that Secret Spirit resources in the desert were notably scarce. After walking dozens of miles, he hadn’t encountered a single Secret Spirit.
Finding a secluded spot, Chen Guan shed his disguise of Zi Donglai, revealing his true appearance, then donned a set of armor.
After walking for a while longer, he still didn’t see any Secret Spirits, not even a plant.
Apart from the boundless desert, there was nothing to see, not even a scrap of greenery.
This was entirely different from the Great Cave Heaven brimming with Heavenly and Earthly Treasures that Chen Guan imagined; no wonder no one ventured here and the Ji Family ignored this desert, with good reason.
Currently, the Ji Family is fully committed to developing the area over at Evil God Mountain, further neglecting this desert.
Chen Guan directly ascended into the sky, gazing down on the desert from ten thousand ters high.
Yet the view remained endless; one cannot comprehend the vastness of this desert, akin to a dead sea without boundaries.
Chen Guan accelerated mid-air, flying a distance, but still couldn’t see its edges.
"The Great Cave Heaven truly differs from an ordinary Cave Heaven; this desert alone is terrifyingly large. With my speed, such flight ti usually covers countless nations in a Cave Heaven, yet here, I can’t even traverse a single desert." Chen Guan felt astonishnt in his heart.
Fortunately, this lengthy flight wasn’t without gains; during his flight, he finally spotted a Secret Spirit in the desert.
His far-seeing ability proved invaluable; even while fast-flying, he could clearly see things on the ground.
Descending from the sky, Chen Guan observed from a distance the small sand snake less than two ters long, seemingly inconspicuous under a sand dune.
"Let’s test the waters first," Chen Guan thought, summoning a level 60 Stone Demon pet to confront the sand snake.
The Stone Demon, mighty and imposing, nearly four ters tall, wielded a stone axe of astonishing destructive power capable of cleaving steel.
Moreover, the Stone Demon had a throwing skill, from a kiloter away, it hurled the stone axe directly at the sand snake.
The stone axe spun through the air towards the sand snake, but was ultimately halted ters from its body, seemingly blocked by an invisible force, leaving the sand snake untouched and unmoved.
The spinning stone axe returned to the Stone Demon’s grip without damage.
Angered by the axe throw, the sand snake raised its head, glared at the Stone Demon, then burrowed into the sand, vanishing.
"Sand Escape Technique," recognized Chen Guan of the sand snake’s ability, quickly commanding the Stone Demon to slash the ground with its axe, creating a huge sand pit, yet seeing no trace of the sand snake.
Suddenly, the sand snake erged not far behind the Stone Demon.
Chen Guan hastily controlled the Stone Demon to turn, but it wouldn’t respond; instead, it collapsed lifelessly, severing its connection with Chen Guan, obviously dead.
"How did it die?" Chen Guan was astonished, as he hadn’t seen the sand snake attack the Stone Demon; it simply appeared behind it, and the Stone Demon just perished, an utterly terrifying occurrence.
The sand snake slithered over the Stone Demon’s corpse, raising its head, flicking its tongue, its eyes turning towards Chen Guan, seemingly recognizing and targeting him.
