Huang Tianming and Chen Guan reached an agreent and convened a group of ministers and generals to announce Chen Guan as the State Preceptor face-to-face.
The Southern Heavenly Kingdom was essentially Huang Tianming's domain. Whatever he said was law, so naturally, no one objected.
After becoming the State Preceptor of the Southern Heavenly Kingdom, Huang Tianming asked Chen Guan to say a few words.
"Everyone, I have tailored a developnt plan for the Southern Heavenly Kingdom. We'll spend the first month training troops, the second month sweeping west to the Celestial Pillar; the third month capturing the Eastern Celestial Pillar and the Northern Celestial Pillar, and finally using one month to capture the Southern Celestial Pillar, uniting the Celestial Pillar Grotto Heaven." Chen Guan's words shocked everyone present.
Not only did the ministers and generals think he was mad, even Huang Tianming lowered his head and covered his face without speaking.
Such madness even he felt was a bit too much.
The other ministers felt that what Chen Guan said was simply not human speech.
Let alone giving them a month to train troops, even if given a lifeti, it would be impossible to capture any Celestial Pillar region, let alone a single battalion of the Celestial Court Army.
Everyone's gaze turned to Huang Tianming, who coughed lightly and said, "The State Preceptor makes a valid point, for a person ought to have ideals. What is the difference between a person without ideals and a lifeless fish? What do you all think?"
Everyone was stunned. Given Huang Tianming's fiery temperant, he didn't launch a flowery attack against Chen Guan's grandiose words and even elegantly agreed. This was not like him at all.
"Could he have been possessed?" The civil and military officials thought to themselves, but they understood Huang Tianming's words.
What Chen Guan said was rely an ideal, not to be taken seriously.
After all, everyone has ideals; it is quite normal not to realize them.
Everyone felt at ease, refraining from debating with Chen Guan, all echoing in agreent, and so even started praising, resulting in a harmonious scene between ruler and ministers in the court.
Chen Guan naturally saw through their thoughts, but as long as they didn't interfere with him, he didn't rely on them to defeat the Celestial Court Army anyway, and these people probably wouldn't stay here for long regardless.
After the court session ended, Chen Guan returned to the Royal Palace with Huang Tianming. Calling it the Royal Palace is a bit of an exaggeration; it was rely a slightly larger palace.
"My King, since you have agreed to my strategy, let's issue this proclamation to the world tomorrow." Chen Guan handed the announcent he had prepared over to Huang Tianming.
"What proclamation to the world?" Huang Tianming asked with confusion.
"A notice to recruit heroes across the land to jointly eradicate the rebel Celestial Court Army," Chen Guan said blandly.
Poof!
The tea Huang Tianming had just sipped had now sprayed everywhere.
What did he just hear? What sort of rebellious statent was that?
The Celestial Court Army is the legitimate ruling force of the Divine Land, right? And you're labeling them rebels? Surely you're the rebel here?
Huang Tianming regretted becoming entangled with this person; he was simply too insane, and Huang felt unable to stand him.
"Ahem, State Preceptor, this matter is significant; we need to deliberate upon it at length…" Huang Tianming dared not issue this proclamation. If he did, by tomorrow, the Celestial Court Army's regint would likely be storming his royal bed.
"Didn't you and all the ministers just agree? What's this? Not keeping your word, thinking of backing down? Are you afraid of the Celestial Court Army?" Chen Guan wasn't angry; he looked at Huang with a mischievous smile.
"Who's afraid? I'm not backing down, but didn't you already say we need to train the troops first?" Huang Tianming hurriedly explained.
"To train troops, we need to recruit troops first. You wouldn't seriously believe that with just the forces of the Southern Heavenly Kingdom, we could really defeat the Celestial Court Army, would you? We need to recruit soldiers and horses; only when we have enough forces can we attack the Celestial Court Army." Chen Guan said.
"With such recruitnt, would anyone actually co?" Huang Tianming responded with a bitter smile.
Anyone seeing words like 'battle rebel Celestial Court Army' would be crazy to join us unless their mind was awry.
"My King, you're ignorant on this matter. The Ancestral Court has been tyrannical for a long ti; the world has suffered at their hands for a long while. Just nobody who has dared to rise up against them. At this mont, all you need to do is call for action, and heroes from around the world will surely respond, and you, my King, leading heroes to battle against the rebel Celestial Court, will earn eternal fa… In the future, when people ntion you, Huang Tianming… who wouldn't acknowledge your righteousness…" Chen Guan delivered an impassioned speech, channeling the Spirit of the Cheerleaders.
Huang Tianming started off firmly, but as he listened on, he started feeling bewildered.
"Is it really like this?" Huang Tianming asked, with eyes wide open, staring blankly at Chen Guan.
"My King, if within three days no hero joins, you can do whatever you want with my head." Chen Guan seeing Huang Tianming's hesitation, proceeded to say, "I'm on this ship with you; I wouldn't gamble with my own life."
"But…" Huang Tianming was still hesitant.
"You promised
earlier; could the dignified ruler of the Southern Heavenly Kingdom intend to break his word?" Chen Guan said. "If that's really the case, perhaps I should leave."
"Alright, publish it now." Huang Tianming gritted his teeth and agreed.
It wasn't because he couldn't bear Chen Guan's departure; he feared the repercussions if Chen Guan left, particularly his threat of a silent approach to eradicate Huang's head.
Chen Guan could appear in Huang's bedroom unnoticed, combined with his vengeful ways, Huang understood that if Chen left, he'd likely be unable to rest easy ever again.
Instead of that, and earning a cowardly reputation, why not take a gamble? Maybe, as Chen suggested, the world did suffer under the Ancestral Court, and heroes would answer the call?
Thus, the Southern Heavenly Kingdom's proclamation was dispatched to various kingdoms and even published online in the Divine Land.
A kingdom many hadn't even heard of, Southern Heavenly Kingdom, dared to rebel against heaven and issue such a proclamation; most people considered it a joke, even questioning whether Southern Heavenly Kingdom truly existed or if it was a re prank.
However, those truly familiar with the Celestial Court Army and the Celestial Pillar Grotto Heaven perceived the situation as unusual.
Moreover, the notice had a peculiarity, with an authored signature at the end instead of the Southern Heavenly Kingdom's Great Seal.
"Guan!" Upon seeing the na, many people's expressions shifted.
"Interesting!" Qin Qiu seeing the signature containing the word Guan revealed an intriguing expression.
The Celestial Pillar Grotto Heaven was jointly developed by the Qin Family and the Celestial Court Army; logically, Qin Qiu should stand on the sa side as the Celestial Court Army encountering such rebellious speech.
Without the signature Guan, Qin Qiu might have done so; more likely, Qin Family's influence in the Celestial Pillar Grotto Heaven would have already eradicated the Southern Heavenly Kingdom.
But now, Qin Qiu planned to personally visit the Southern Heavenly Kingdom.
"Go summon Qin Ziyu; he should head out too. There's no use in secluded refining; practical experience is invaluable." Qin Qiu instructed the maid beside him.
