Chapter 115: Chapter 15: Joining the Team

For a small figure like Chen Guan, such major events naturally have nothing to do with him. No matter what happens to the Chief Judge, even if he falls, another Chief Judge will take his place, and the Celestial Court Army will not be greatly affected.

Moreover, he is currently just a reserve team mber and cannot yet be considered a true mber of the Celestial Court Army.

On the fifth day of arriving at the Ancestral Court, Ji Nanhong arranged for Chen Guan to undergo the entrance test, allowing him to enter the reserve team through the regular channels.

The physical examination was no problem; Chen Guan used makeup skills to cover the scars on his feet and easily passed the check.

Other tests were also easily passed by Chen Guan with his strength. In the talent survey, Chen Guan filled in his talent as rapid recovery of primordial energy.

This talent is actually difficult to enter the reserve team. Fortunately, Ji Nanhong had already put in a word for him. As long as Chen Guan could pass all the previous tests, this last hurdle of manual review would be one hundred percent passable, and no one could eliminate him.

The background check also took ti, and after waiting two more days, Chen Guan finally received the notification of his acceptance and officially entered the reserve team.

Packing his things and leaving the hotel, Chen Guan entered the reserve team and moved into the reserve team’s dormitory.

"A new beginning, hope everything goes smoothly." Stepping into the courtyard of the reserve team, Chen Guan looked at the layout resembling a military base, and couldn’t help but feel a little hopeful about the future.

The reserve team is not yet official military, and the managent is not as strict as in the official military, but the mbers are not allowed to act recklessly either.

Except for free activities on weekends, there are training schedules and task assignnts at all other tis.

The reserve team currently has 24 squads, each squad ranging from 8 to 20 people. Chen Guan was assigned to the 17th squad, which has 11 mbers, including one squad leader and one vice-squad leader, and the rest are regular team mbers.

The training plans and tasks are completed in squad form. Fortunately, the squad does not live in a big dormitory; each has independent single rooms.

After all, people who can get here are all outstanding, and mbers of the Celestial Court Army will be people with status and respect, so naturally, the treatnt will not be poor.

The vice-squad leader Shi Zhin took him to receive the joining package, which included a level 10 Rare Quality Zhaoye Lion horse pet.

A level 10 Rare Secret Treasure Long Spear "Blood Tassel," a rare spear secret skill "Array-Breaking Spear Technique," a level 10 Rare Quality Steel-cutting Long Saber and Steel-cutting Blade Technique, and a set of level 10 Rare Quality Secret Treasure Armor.

This is the standard of the reserve team, the sa for every reserve team mber, and if damaged in the future, you can apply for replacents.

Chen Guan tried it on; with a silver armor and a silver spear, a black steel-cutting saber at his waist, riding on a pure white Zhaoye Lion horse, even if just an average-looking person, he appeared quite valiant at this mont.

"It’s no wonder everyone wants to join the Celestial Court Army. Just entering the reserve team cos with such benefits, I wonder what perks official mbers get," Chen Guan thought.

After new mbers arrive, they need to undergo training, at least riding skills and formations are indispensable, otherwise, without the techniques, experience, and capabilities for team combat, it would be even harder to participate in large-scale legion battles later.

The person responsible for instructing Chen Guan remained the vice-squad leader Shi Zhin, and despite being there for two days, Chen Guan had yet to see what the 17th squad’s leader looked like.

During the morning drill, Shi Zhin’s face was stern, like a devil instructor, with various strict training, almost without any rest.

This training wasn’t much for Chen Guan, but he also saw that it was to establish authority and rules for him.

Chen Guan obediently followed Shi Zhin’s training requirents, without complaint or any sign of dissatisfaction.

When it was lunchti and they went to the canteen to eat, Chen Guan seed to intentionally or unintentionally walk in front of Shi Zhin.

Seeing Chen Guan like this, Shi Zhin thought, "This kid is finally getting it. If he doesn’t treat the senior brothers well, will it be good for him in the future?"

The canteen als were charged; the reserve team had subsidies, which could cover als if you didn’t want to spend money, but you could also pay for better als.

For gatherings, you could also order dishes in the canteen; however, it was relatively expensive.

Shi Zhin thought Chen Guan was going to treat him to a al to get on his good side.

Who knew Chen Guan just got himself a al, neither ordering sothing special nor offering to get sothing for him.

Shi Zhin suddenly felt a bit uncomfortable, giving Chen Guan a cold look, ready to ramp up the intensity of the afternoon training.

But seeing the card Chen Guan swiped, Shi Zhin’s pupils suddenly shrunk, greatly surprised in his heart: "Heavenly al Card, this kid actually has a Heavenly al Card?"

There were too many connected folks in the reserve team, especially so old officers from the Celestial Court Army, who would groom their descendants and send them to the reserve team.

Thus, people who can enter the reserve team, aside from so extraordinarily talented individuals specially recruited, usually have so connections.

But soone with a Heavenly al Card, that was not just an ordinary connection.

Only those with very large backgrounds and connections could obtain the Heavenly al Card that allowed unlimited ordering without paying.

Even descendants of commander-level officials in the Celestial Court Army would find it hard to enjoy such benefits. Only Army Commanders, Deputy Army Commanders, a few Grand Commanders, and departnt powerbrokers might have access to such a card, enjoying all-inclusive treatnt.

Realizing this, cold sweat broke out on Shi Zhin’s face. Previously, no one had approached him for favor, leading him to think Chen Guan had no connections or they weren’t strong, but seeing this card, he realized Chen Guan not only had connections but formidable ones.

"Brother n, that kid is not playing the ga; didn’t even express anything. You should train him well," a squad mber nad Bu Changning chuckled, fanning the flas.

"Yeah Brother n, you trained all morning; where’s the effect?"

"Brother n, increase the intensity."

"..."

The other several team mbers also egged Shi Zhin on, having been trained by Shi Zhin themselves at so point, they couldn’t stand seeing any exceptions.

"Shut up." Shi Zhin glared at them, then ordered a few heavy dishes enriched with dicinal ingredients, and made his way over to Chen Guan.

Bu Changning and the others, thinking sothing amusing was about to happen, followed with their trays, planning to support Shi Zhin and give the new recruit a lesson.

The hard dishes ordered by Shi Zhin were especially expensive in the cafeteria. Bu Changning and the others thought Shi Zhin was preparing to hassle Chen Guan to make him pay for it.

The few of them saw Shi Zhin sit down opposite Chen Guan and spontaneously sat next to Shi Zhin, waiting for him to teach the newcor a lesson.

"Little Guan, coming to train is already so tiring; how can you eat so little without nutrition? You still have to train in the afternoon, you won’t last. Don’t exhaust your body. Co, I ordered a few hearty dishes for you; they’re all enriched with dicinal ingredients. You must nourish yourself; how else can you manage being away from ho?" Shi Zhin said with concern to Chen Guan while pushing the hearty dishes he ordered toward Chen Guan.

Bu Changning and the others were stunned, looking at each other, not knowing what Shi Zhin was up to.
