Hardrial frowned even more, looking thoughtful.
What Louis was saying was that, in that place, the magic was so intense that it was to the point of causing other magics to fail.
That has been proven to be possible. In fact, the barrier that every God has, that Natural Barrier that protects them, is a Barrier of pure Intent.
Soone weak shouldn’t be able to create magic in front of a God unless their intent and mind are very powerful or brave.
What if it were like that in that place?
Now it all seed to make sense, too.
If magic were at work there, it would make sense why there are so many magical resources in those regions. Explorers want to visit these places solely because they are creating all kinds of natural treasures.
What else could create them but magic?
And a magical chain reaction, which never ends, is the best way to create them.
Hardrial stared at Louis. He had managed to give verifiable logic to sothing that scientists had dismissed as viable.
That was astounding.
’I must say, his mind is astounding. Many of us had taken what the scientists had said for granted, but now, looking at it from this point of view, it makes a lot more logical sense than what they were saying.’ He thought.
He smiled at Louis.
"After the Tournant is over, I’ll take you to et soone important in this field. He knows a lot about this, so maybe we can get an answer."
Louis nodded. "All right. Just let know."
After that little interruption, Hardrial continued with his explanation about the Magical World, now with more enthusiasm, as he felt that his students were understanding everything, even better than he did.
Although Laura all this ti remained silent, listening and analyzing. Amazed by so things and thoughtful about others.
Then ca the explanation about Arcanotric Fields and Energy Resonance, which Louis already knew about.
But here was sothing curious...
"When creating a Rune, there is sothing important to rember. Well, there are two things. First: The Logical Variables of a Magic Spell."
"Did you know that, from a single Rune, you can create many magic spells? The amount is not specified anywhere, so it is unknown how many, but it depends a lot on the spell’s complexity. For example..."
Hardrial quickly drew the Rune of Fire that Louis had learned earlier.
"This is the basic rune of a ’fire shot’, that’s the na. It’s not a fireball, it’s simply a bunch of fire coming out in front with so power."
"But if I do this..." He did the sa rune again, but changed the direction of so threads a bit. They were connected to the connections of the Rune, but then happened to be connected to another area of other threads that were also connected to the connections.
"This will give birth to a magic with a little more penetration. If instead of that change, you make it have four more threads coming out from here..." He made another rune and added the threads he was saying to the sides.
"This will create a fireball with little penetration, and you can extrapolate a little more from the shape from before, to increase the penetration of the fireball." He smiled. "Saying it without seeing it is no good. I’m not much of an expert in this type of magic, but I’ll demonstrate."
The first thing he did was to fire a shot of basic fire. He did not fire it with his pistol, but rather with his own hand.
The fire shot hit the slate and did nothing. It did not have enough power to burn it because the power used was too low.
Subsequently, he threw the second example towards the wall. He used exactly the sa amount of magic power to create it, and the result visually was the sa. But when it hit the wall, it made a small hole; it had more penetration.
In the end, he cast two fireballs using the sa rune as a base but adding variables in the final construction. Both fireballs had more penetration than the first attacks, with the second being the most noticeable.
"Logical variables in a spell are important because with small changes, you can achieve greater power, plus it gives you versatility when fighting." He spoke.
"Now, the second important point is the Rune Formulation Coherence Level. Can you understand what it ans?" Hardrial stopped talking and looked at Laura and Louis.
Louis had an idea, but Laura beat him to the punch. She was sowhat familiar with this concept.
"All the Runes that we make co from the Arcane Flow. From that Logic-Magic sh. The Coherence Level is, how similar is the one you make, to the one the Arcane Flow gives you? The more similar it is, the more Magical Coherence you have."
"Right. That’s just it. The Coherence Level of the Rune Formulation is the Magical Coherence."
"Professor." Louis spoke quickly. "You an there are actually Power Runes that aren’t what they should be, but they still work?"
"Yes." Hardrial smiled. "In fact, do you rember what you saw when you caused that Magic Reaction a few days ago?"
"I rember. Lots of magical patterns, but very simple. So could even be ford with only two or three threads."
"Yes. Originally, Basic Magic looked like that. They could barely alter their surroundings a bit. But now a Basic Magic could even go so far as to kill you."
Louis frowned. "Really?"
"Haha, how is that possible? You might wonder." He chuckled. "It’s because of Magical Advancent and the fact that, right now, Basic Magics are made of relatively easy Runes, which co from very complicated Runes. This all ca about because we discovered that Coherence Levels when creating a Rune are crucial for its power to be fostered correctly."
Louis nodded. Things seed to make a lot more sense to him, though that ant he had to pay much more attention to detail from now on.
But there was nothing that was good and not complicated. Physics on Earth was complicated, but it was logical and allowed mankind to advance rapidly.
Anything complicated, but logical, was sothing worth studying. The mysteries of the world could be there.
The morning hours passed rather quickly, but they were so engrossed in class that neither Louis nor Laura noticed that lunch hours had passed.
Hardrial was so excited about it that he didn’t notice either. He loved teaching, and now he had two students capable of learning at absurd speeds.
But past noon, he finally stopped explaining so much.
"I didn’t explain all of this just because. At the beginning of the class, I told you that we would start studying the Sorcerer’s thod. And you need to know all of this to get started."
"Because the Sorcerers’ thod consists of creating Runes employing the Arcane Rhythms. The fastest and most efficient way to create Runes of Power in all their coherent variables."
