Once again, she was forced to frown.

’Is he planning sothing?’

She couldn’t understand.

Why choose the side that has everything to lose?

She thought she was missing sothing. But as she watched the combat unfold, it beca harder for her to understand.

It was clearly evident who would have the upper hand from now on, for he was keeping the right tempo.

She was not the only one who was like this. All those who were aware of the previous bet were the sa.

For that, she smiled. "Are you sure?" she asked.

"Obviously, I am."

"Good." She nodded and decided to stay. "Then 500 million. I’ll pick the blue one."

After that, they watched the fight and waited for the results.

When it cos to close fights that are already at an advanced stage of developnt, the situation no longer depends so much on luck. The one who lands the first punch tends to have a slight advantage, but from the way Blue was coming at Red, it was simply impossible not to say that he had a brutal lead.

With the tempo of this boxing match, anyone could see it culminating in the 2nd or 3rd round. They would be very surprised if it went any further than that.

Because the advantage was simply too great, although they were evenly matched in strength, blue was far superior in technique.

And in the face of that equality, technique will make you invincible. That’s why Louis’ choice doesn’t make sense.

Unless...

He was looking at stamina.

Naturally, blue had the advantage, but that’s partly because he’s spending all his stamina trying to knock him down. He was moving a lot to the front and occasionally taking small hits that didn’t seem to hit at all.

That can slowly eat away at your stamina; in the end, you’d be left with nothing.

But that’s just in case you manage to get there...

’Which is impossible, seeing this tempo.’ Rebecca thought, looking sideways at him.

But Louis was calm.

As he watched the fight, he had his own thoughts about it.

He was sure he would win.

And this certainty didn’t co because of his good luck, which he didn’t have. Just as before, he can see things that she cannot.

Although he was indeed betting on the stamina, it was not precisely that of the blue. That would be over quickly. He was betting on Red’s endurance.

Despite the fact that they weigh the sa and are practically equal in height, one has focused on moving nimbly and making fast attacks, while the other is fully focused on resisting as long as possible.

The reality is that each blow he has given him has not helped. The man in red is not really in pain. For him, the blows of his rival do not hurt.

Because he has gone through special training for it

And the biggest proof of that is the scars on his body. Others would think he’s a typical street thug, but those aren’t wounds you’d find on the street. They are wounds from endurance training.

’Seeing as no one knows, I have to assu this guy is new around here. Maybe that’s why he doesn’t attract so much attention from the gamblers.’ He thought.

While he was focused on it, the fight seed to go on. Each round lasted 3 minutes, and they were already in the fourth round. Blue’s lunges were getting fewer and fewer, while Red’s punches were slowly starting to connect.

The blue was completely inside his rival’s ga. Unfortunately... he had just realized it, in the fourth round.

’Shit...’ The man in blue groaned. His vision was steady in front, but his arms were no longer moving as quickly as they had initially.

He had reached a troubleso point.

He suddenly saw a movent from his right, so he dodged it by stepping back and pulling his head back, but then...

The pain ca, and the dizziness followed.

Suddenly, he was lying on the floor, staring in a complete daze at the ceiling.

He didn’t understand what was happening.

Even so, it was only for a few seconds that he was stunned. He got back to his feet after receiving the referee’s intervention.

He seed to hear so things from him, and he answered vaguely, until suddenly, he was lying on the ground again.

This ti...

He couldn’t get up.

He lost.

In the distance, Rebecca frowned, and Louis smiled.

"Looks like I’m taking the win faster than I thought." He spoke.

’Did he know that?’ She looked at him, frowning. ’It’s my first ti seeing him, so he must be new in town. Sa with the wrestler. Did they co together or sothing? Was I that unlucky?’

She was in shock.

But, if so... what a pitiful way to lose 800 million Jens.

Even for her, losing that much that easily didn’t feel right. The people next to her knew, but they could do nothing about it.

She didn’t say anything about it. She simply handed him the money card with the right amount, and that was it.

"You seem to be ahead of in the betting - is it luck or just foreknowledge?" She smiled, almost mocking.

Instead, Louis shrugged. "This kind of money could be staggering in the hands of large families, you know? I think even the Lockwards might be interested." He said as he put the card away.

"Hahaha, the Lockwards?" Even though she understood why he was saying it, she found it curious that he would ntion that mythical family, whose concern for money was nil.

Hence her mock-filled chuckle.

"They are special beings, dear gambler." She said with a sarcastic tone. "Money to them is just like a coin to . It has no value whatsoever."

’So the Lockwards here are the sa as the Lockwards upstairs.’ Louis smiled.

Don’t underestimate money, is what he would want to tell them. Because in the right hands it might be what it takes to catch up or surpass them.

But he wasn’t going to say it. He would keep his saying and refine it for the future. Eventually, he would show them how serious it is to underestimate that thing they call mundane.

And it looks like he’ll even teach it to the whole world.
