Being able to go to the 70th floor sounded amazing, until you realized that the 20th floor could already be torture for your current strength.
That’s why Louis didn’t think too much about that information. Instead, he focused on the first part.
It was a rather special kind of magic if he could know the floor to teleport to. He didn’t know where this magic ca from, but how it worked was relatively simple.
Now, how was it created? He had seen it activated but had no idea how it worked. That Fabric was... very complex.
Too much.
In fact, based on his current knowledge alone, it shouldn’t be possible to create that Fabric.
It was a fabric that had other fabrics intertwining and wrapping around each other, going towards the middle, crossing the entire Fabric and doing strange things. It was practically a fabric that shouldn’t be able to work, plus, if he tried to do it, so Fabrics would interfere with others.
How can sothing that, since its creation, look completely dysfunctional, work?
Even though the question was written all over his face and Hardrial could see it, he didn’t know how to answer.
Because he didn’t understand how that Fabric could possibly work either.
Only the tower can create it, and only it can understand it. That is one of the reasons why the world’s mages so covet the Tower. It is believed that it could hold the mysteries of magic, and so believe that its creator is the Magical Abyss itself.
Despite this abundance of theories, so of them quite insane, no one has been able to discover what really lies within this place or understand its magic.
Its complexity is such that even a god cannot understand it.
Hence the question: Where exactly does this Tower co from? Only an answer like the one above could explain sothing so amazing.
That’s why Hardrial simply said, "If one day soone manages to understand the complexity of this magic, they may be able to usher in a new era for humanity."
And he said it with a certainty that was difficult to shake. Despite knowing the Lockwards and having great respect for them, he recognized that this magic’s greatness is not sothing many can enjoy.
Louis was awakened by the peculiar coldness of giant fans.
The people near the teleportation site looked at Hardrial with great shock because of his peculiar token.
"Look, that man over there has reached Level 79... he must be one of the highest ranked currently, right?"
"I know him. He’s Professor Hardrial, an Armantalist from the Royal Academy of the Red Sun Empire. I think he’s the most powerful one in that prestigious academy."
"There’s such a skilled Armantalist there? My goodness..."
"Are those people next to him, his students? That woman is uniquely beautiful. This is the first ti I’ve ever seen soone with albinism."
"Yes... too. I don’t know who she is. Do any of you know?"
A few foreigners were speaking, although there were also local people there.
One of them recognized Laura, the Academy’s robes flourishing on her body. "She’s ranked ninth in the Royal Academy. As for him... I didn’t expect him to be the one who recently reached Floor 20. So not only did he enter through the back door, he’s actually soone powerful."
"Is he soone famous? His white hair isn’t due to albinism, so I guess he must be a foreigner."
"Yes, he’s a bit famous these days. He’s 16 years old and... he’s not really a foreigner. He was born that way but belongs to the Habsburg family, once the largest in the Empire,"
"A mber of that legendary family?! My God... no wonder he’s so talented..."
"They’re moving..."
"If they’re coming with the professor, it’s because they’re going to train."
Despite the shock of hearing that he was a Habsburg, they paid special attention to watching them leave, for no reason at all.
Hardrial cleared the way for them and finally reached the city gates.
"There is a mountain south of here that combines all the elents in layers. A significant part of the Ancient River passes nearby. Up above, strong winds blow fiercely, creating storms of earth and wind, and at the tip, there is fire. We will train there," he said, looking at those strange teorites constantly falling from the sky.
He quickly drew up a map plan.
"The teorites are falling unusually today," he said, frowning. "They seem more aggressive, but at the sa ti, they’re falling strangely to the ground. It’ll take us a long ti to get there because of it."
Laura looked at him, shocked. "Has the fall pattern changed?" she asked.
"Probably," he nodded.
"God... What could have happened to make them change now?" They were both stunned, which Louis found interesting.
"Is it unusual for them to change?" he asked.
They both nodded...
"Not that unusual, if we consider that the last ti it changed was on the mythical night when the Habsburgs fell. But if we consider that they hadn’t changed in over 5,000 years before that, we realize that it’s very peculiar. It has changed too quickly."
’5,000 years? How complicated it is to understand such a long period of ti...’ he thought, in shock.
He didn’t even have to ask any more questions. He was sure this was unusual simply because the last ti it had changed was when a great family fell.
Now, what was going to fall? Or was it a sign that sothing bigger was going to happen?
"Follow closely. With this unusual shape, I’m worried that sothing might fall on us." Hardrial finally finished making the map plan and walked along the narrow paths.
Louis didn’t want to think about the possibility of a teorite falling on their heads, to tell the truth.
They were already on fire and ca from outer space...
’Better not to think about it.’ He walked behind Hardrial.
Occasionally, they had to deviate from the paths, as there were areas where teorites had fallen and made huge holes or were simply on fire.
Long walks in such a big world took a lot of ti, even more so in one where detours had to be taken constantly.
The problem was that, on the 20th floor and precisely on the 20th floor, there were no places to teleport to, precisely because of the fear of arriving at a place where a teorite was about to fall or had already fallen.
Therefore, a trip that would normally take them 12 hours took them two days to complete.
Luckily, no teorite fell on their heads, although they did see one fall nearby, behind a mountain that, fortunately, did not collapse after that.
These teorites were not usually very large, so the craters and earthquakes they caused were hardly anything to worry about. That is why they are called "Solar Pellets" or "Flaming Pellets" because they are not too big.
Two days later, near a huge river that was over 40 kiloters wide, Louis was drawn to the enormous mountain with its peculiar features.
The lower part seed to be blooming, the greenery almost palpable. The landscape was beautiful.
But looking up just a little, you could see huge windstorms continuously battering the rock. These blows created dust storms.
And if you looked up even further, you would find a paradise that was not very pretty, to say the least—a mountain engulfed in fire.
No one knows how this was ford, but it was natural, and the division between each thing varied depending on the day and ti. At night, the green part below gained ground. The winds cald down, and therefore, there were fewer dust storms. At those tis, the wind and dust storms only occurred at the equivalent of about 10 floors of a building.
But as morning approached and the sun rose, this changed. The wind gained strength and greatly battered the mountain, causing earth to erge from every corner.
anwhile, the fire remained unchanged. It was always there, feeding on the falling teorites, as it has a huge teorite at its center that attracts more teorites to fall there.
It is a dangerous place, but perfect for studying the peculiarities of chaotic fire magic.
"First, the tents here must go on the edge of the mountain, to prevent a teorite from falling on our heads while we sleep. Because this mountain has a large teorite rock on top, any teorite within a certain radius of 200 ters from it is attracted to it, and they all fall on top."
"Let’s move a little further away from that it’s dangerous," he said. After giving them basic instructions, he studied the enormous river’s water.
"We’ll start by working on water magic and studying so wind magic, which we can see from here. First, I’ll start by telling you that water magic is possibly the most important magic that exists. This elent is used to strike, but also to stop, to heal... it is the most likely to deliver Final Attacks and, in its ice version, the most likely to deliver lethal attacks."
"It has everything, and that is why, once we master this magic, climbing this mountain will be easier."
