Nova put all the cats in the cat carrier right after they finished their food. All of them purred, trying to get attention from him and Elesch, as Elesch petted them softly, her fingers touching their fur, through the square gaps in the front of the carrier.
Nova held the carrier up as Elesch opened and locked the door, the duo ready to train with Adam and the others, especially since everyone, since the past year, had gotten so much stronger than before.

Elesch didn’t even speak and didn’t trust Zane, so she quietly took the cat carrier and scooted over to Adam and Marcus. Her expression changed from a nervous, confused smile to a calm relief, as if she didn’t want to provoke Zane, and she was successful at it.

Elesch, pretending to be invested in Adam’s training, whispered to Marcus, "How long do we have to deal with him before he turns back into his normal self?"
Marcus’s mouth quirked slightly. "Until he runs out of stories, or oxygen. Or maybe even when the clock hits nine and training officially starts."
Zane leaned in even closer; his breath was hot against Nova’s ears. "Alright, so that tattoo girl’s finished her routine, and we’re going to one of them VIP booths. As everyone got into a group, Adam finally got a handle on the technique Marcus was teaching and got into formation for their training.
