[Wild Hunt]
Wearing a doctor's gown, Nikola was whistling as she cleaned up her tools. Her face was slightly covered in blood and her gown was completely drenched in the sa liquid but looking at her, one would think that she was simply cooking or having fun.
Torture was an art. This was the belief that was instilled in her while she grew up in the camp with the other children. Since they were all trained to beco assassins, torture had been obviously on the curriculum, and for all artists, the tool they used was no different from their souls.
"Ugh. I can never get used to this."
The voice of Mammoth sounded as he stepped into the room. The torture room they used was entirely covered in white plastics that were liquid-proof. This was the best way to stop the blood, flesh, and other disgusting liquids from covering the ground or the ceiling for that matter.
"Oh Mammoth, you ca soon."
Mammoth sighed as he looked at the rosy face of Nikola as well as the giant smile on her face. It seed that only in monts like this or when she was talking to Yui that could she show a smile so genuine.
"The boss wanted to co down but I stopped her. Can't have her slling blood just as she is about to et the old boss."
"Old boss? Hum, the leader of the Feng family??"
Nikola nodded to herself. She knew that it should be about the drug matter. Yui was not righteous. While she stopped dealing drugs in her territory, she understood that it was a business that was hard to fight so she could make concessions on so that were not particularly harmful or that were legal in other countries. The best example is the Cannabis that was legal in Canada.
But the Fairy Dust was another matter entirely. That drug was extrely harmful to the human mind and extrely addictive. This applied even to hunters and having such drugs circulating in her territory would an more unwanted attention from the LAPPD.
"Well, she should be happy to learn that I managed to make them sing and it seems like the Blue Shark are related to those drugs."
Mammoth frowned, this was becoming complicated, or rather this was becoming even more complicated. Anyone who could produce this drug in such quantity was without a doubt very powerful and influential. If such an organization gave its backing to the blue shark…
"Well, I guess we really need so big guns as well."
Nikola shrugged, "Anyways, this doesn't matter. We will just have to erase them when it cos to it. But I think it's possible to obtain more information first."
Never underestimate a cornered rat. The Blue Sharks may not have the sa high-end power level but they were more nurous and had a greater influence. It wouldn't be impossible for them to have so hidden alliance.
Yui's gang was not related to the Feng or Hanekewa so even if the gang was eradicated the only one they would care about would be Yui.
"So everything will depend on that boy."
"Heh. Adam really beca a big shot, I really wanna talk to him now but I didn't have the ti."
Mammoth was quite happy about Adam's rise. Having soone strong in your team that you knew you could trust was always welco. It didn't help that he was sure that Adam may beco the young master of their gangs with how things were progressing.
Sooner or later, Yui will stop holding back and that day would be worth seeing.
"Well…You guys are making look like the bad guys in this but we need soone to be skeptical."
Trust was nice and all but having your guard up at all ti was a necessity. Her job wasn't to trust. Her job was to doubt. To always make sure those at the top showed no sign of betrayal.
She was the hound, the snitch, the one no one liked but that was always necessary in all large organizations.
She had already made plans to make sure she could kill any and every mber of the gang at a mont's notice if it was necessary.
Mammoth was no expectation.
Adam would not be either.
This was not personal. This was just her job and she wanted to do it well. Whether she was cursed or despised did not matter as long as she made sure no one betrayed her.
"You should go take a bath now, your sll can make the dead rise."
Mammoth pinched his nose and waved his hands before leaving a dumbstruck Nikola.
Looking down, she brought her face to her armpit and sniffed a little,
"Hum…I don't really sll bad though."
Still, taking a bath wouldn't hurt.
Shrugging, she walked away, leaving the two bloody naked corpses sitting on a chair. The cleaning crew would make sure to take care of it later on.

While the cog of the first gang war he would participate one were turning, Adam found himself sitting in Shuri's house as she went to take a bath and change herself.
The main house Shuri lived in was quite large and well-guarded but at the sa ti, he couldn't help but wonder how lonely one must feel living alone in this place.
It was large mansion with three floors and a garden, it seed like she had taken the typical Arican dream house and increased it exponentially.
The interior was richly decorated with lavish chandeliers on the ceiling, a large wall where a TV that looked more like a small cinema screen was hooked on, a few sofa there and here that was made of velvet.
It was the kind of mansion that, at first glance mixed grace and opulence without being flashy about it and made anyone who entered this house feel imnse respect.
'Shuri should be from so noble family, right?'
He had never really asked about her situation from her family. For as long as he rembered, Shuri had always been alone and the only relative of her he knew was her husband.
Standing up, Adam began to walk around in the living room, while making sure to inspect the entire house for any trace of hidden listening device or cara.
'Nothing at first glance.'
He nodded once he made sure that everything was alright. Shuri's life was in danger but there was little he could do before completely exterminating the Blue Shark or making sure they would not be a liability.
'Genesis. Can you find a skill related to teleportation? I will start buying the skills related to that tree. If teleportation is sothing, what about sothing akin to a mark that would let know when the one marked are facing danger?'
[All teleportation is related to space and thereby S rank of the highest level by default.]
Adam winced. S rank skill costs between a Hundred thousand to One million Karma. If it was of the highest degree, this would an that even with a discount he would need 100K karma just to obtain the skill.
This was without counting the fact that from A rank onward, all skills had prerequisites skills necessary.
Adam had been planning to save Karma in order to buy the next Chakra as it would be quite costly.
'Do you think it's possible for to learn one such skills by myself?'
[In the silver library there should be B and A rank skills related to space so it's in the realm of possibility. But I doubt very much you would be able to master such skills with just one pass. The only way then would be for you to awaken it yourself through the World.]
'If it was so easy to awaken skills, I would have thousand of them.'
Furthermore, even if he obtained such a skill through the World, the skill would be limited by the zone covered by The World. What he wanted was true teleportation.
[Then the only possible way would be to make a contract with a special entity related to space or learn from a powerful mage.]

(AN: Today I really fought my inner devil to write this chapter. Ngl I feel tired ntally even though I am doing shit. I want to lie down, play a ga and touch so grass. One month and a half in Morocco now and have zero friends because I don't go out and the current event isn't helping. My life is wake up, eat, write, look at the ceiling, read, eat sleep. Haha
Anyways take a look at the new event of WN the new mass release event is starting and I took two dates for SHK and God of Cri. 14th and 25th for GoC and 19th and 21th for SHK. Those dates are based on Hong Kong hours (GMT 8). So take a look at it.
