Stealing a spot?
This was absolutely insane.
Bruno didn’t have ti to deal with this clearly unhinged guy. He still needed to finish his al and then go ask Master Tursos about the Celestial Beast at.
"The staff at the psychiatric hospital in Zone 8 is so irresponsible. How could they let you out?" Bruno said casually.
Philip’s face imdiately turned bright red. He wasn’t stupid—he knew exactly what Bruno ant: he was implying that Philip wasn’t ntally stable.
"You’re full of crap! You’re the one with the problem! If it weren’t for getting sick a few days ago and you taking advantage of it, Mr. Nell would definitely have taken on as his disciple!" Philip’s voice rose, drawing the attention of several apprentices nearby.
So whispered, "Isn’t that Philip Herdman? I heard he’s the illegitimate son of Viscount Herdman, and he’s got great talent."
"Yeah, but Bruno’s already been accepted by Mr. Nell as a disciple. How dare Philip challenge him?"
"Who says being Mr. Nell’s disciple guarantees success? Strength is what matters. Philip’s already a 2nd-stage Warlock-Warrior. Reaching the 3rd stage is just a matter of ti."
"Do you think if they fight, who will win?"
"Probably Philip. He’s strong, and Bruno’s only just beco Mr. Nell’s disciple. He probably isn’t as good as Philip."
Hearing the gossip around him, Philip’s expression clearly showed his growing pride. He clapped his hands, and soone imdiately brought ten special supplents to him.
"My Ten Thousand Hells, Thunderclap Breathing thod, are already at Low Rank. Bruno, if it weren’t for you showing up, I’d definitely be Mr. Nell’s disciple by now!"
"Let’s fight. Win or lose, these supplents are yours!"
"But if I win, you’ll give up your spot as Mr. Nell’s disciple and leave the martial arts hall!" Philip said slowly.
Bruno glanced at him and simply said, "Idiot."
The ten special supplents were only worth six hundred and fifty gold coins, while being a disciple of Nell Gaston was a dream for many.
This guy was truly out of his mind. Who would agree to such an unfair offer?
At that mont, the apprentices made way, and Master Tursos hurried over.
When he saw Bruno, a flicker of surprise appeared in his eyes.
Because Bruno’s presence was now much stronger, and his Warlock-Warrior rank had advanced from the 2nd stage to the 3rd stage.
Could it be that when he sensed Bruno’s rising strength earlier, it was because Bruno was about to break through to the 3rd stage of Warlock-Warrior?
Tursos and Elena shared their suspicions about Bruno with Master Nell, who told them that if they had the ti, they should bring Bruno to him.
So, when Tursos heard that Bruno was in the cafeteria, he rushed over in a hurry.
"Senior Tursos," Bruno greeted him.
It was hard not to notice Tursos with his shiny bald head. Bruno spotted him imdiately in the crowd.
"Junior Brother, you’ve gotten stronger again?" Tursos asked directly. He now realized that his previous assumption must have been wrong. How could soone have reached the full level of The Ten Thousand Hells so quickly?
Bruno nodded and smiled. "It’s just luck, just luck. Your strength is so great, Senior Brother, you could tell my level in an instant."
Tursos was just one step away from achieving High Rank in ditation Technique, which would make him an Arcane Power Master. Bruno’s level was still far behind his. Being seen through so easily was perfectly normal.
However, this also made Bruno realize that if possible, he should try to conceal his aura—it’s better if no one can tell his true strength.
While Tursos and Bruno were talking, Philip couldn’t hold himself back any longer. He felt like he was being ignored.
Philip clenched his fists, took a deep breath, and suddenly spoke up:
"Bruno, since your strength has improved, why don’t you accept my challenge? Are you too scared and cowardly, afraid of losing face in front of so many people?"
Before Bruno could respond, Tursos imdiately scolded him:
"Philip, this isn’t your ho. You’d better behave yourself."
Philip ignored Tursos and fixed his gaze on Bruno, as if everything—his spot, his future—had been taken from him by Bruno.
Bruno sighed, shaking his head slightly. "There aren’t enough psychiatric hospitals."
"Words of a coward! If you have the guts..." Philip’s words were cut short as a Thunderclap suddenly cracked through the air.
A flash of purple lightning lit up the stunned faces of everyone around.
The perfected Thunderclap Breathing thod was all about speed!
Before launching an attack, all the power and montum had to be built up, ready to explode in an instant—like a Thunderclap striking down from the sky, delivering the deadliest blow.
Bruno’s hand moved like a blade, coming to a stop perfectly at Philip’s throat. The electric sparks dancing on his fingertips turned Philip’s skin black, and a foul odor began to waft from it.
Philip’s pupils dilated to the extre, and he stumbled backward, falling to the ground.
"You... you... I—You attacked from behind!" Philip stamred, his voice trembling.
Bruno withdrew his hand, gently blew on his fingertips, and then stepped over the fallen Philip, taking the ten special supplents from Philip’s lackey.
"Ambush? I’ll give you another chance. A fight to the death—do you dare?" Bruno said, his voice calm.
Philip imdiately shut his mouth and remained silent.
Master Tursos, standing nearby, was completely stunned by what he had just witnessed. He quickly walked over to Bruno, his voice filled with disbelief as he asked:
"Perfected Thunderclap Breathing thod? The Thunderclap phenonon!"
"Just a few days, just a few days!"
The Thunderclap phenonon?
Bruno guessed that what Tursos was referring to as the Thunderclap phenonon was the purple lightning that appeared when he used the breathing technique.
Before he could ask further, Tursos grabbed his hand and began pulling him toward Master Nell Gaston’s room.
"Master! Junior Brother is a monster!" Tursos shouted before they even entered the room.
Britney, the bean sprout, imdiately spoke up, "Yeah! You think so too, Senior Brother? I’ve been saying that guy’s a freak."
"No, no, no, it’s not that. Junior Brother’s Thunderclap Breathing thod is already perfected!"
Instantly, the whole room went silent. All that could be heard was the sound of the cup in Master Nell Gaston’s hand shattering, and Britney and Elena frantically swallowing.
"Perfected? Senior Brother, are you sure? The Thunderclap Breathing thod only reaches High Rank. Achieving perfection is almost impossible," Elena said, her voice skeptical.
Before she could finish, Master Nell Gaston’s figure disappeared from where he stood and reappeared directly in front of Bruno.
Fast!
So fast!
Bruno didn’t even see Nell move from the couch before hearing Nell say, "Use the Thunderclap Breathing thod."
Bruno took a deep breath and began to activate the Thunderclap Breathing thod.
There was no strange sound, no thunder from the Thunderclap Breathing thod, and no arcs of electricity appeared from Bruno’s mouth or nose.
"Thunderclap... hold back the power, build up the montum, then unleash it with a ground-shaking Thunderclap, releasing all the energy in an instant. Not bad, not bad. You’ve found your own path," Nell said, unhurriedly placing the broken whiskers into his pocket and offering his assessnt.
"Alright, you can release it now. Aim at your Senior Brother," Nell instructed.
In an instant, a flash of purple lightning appeared out of nowhere.
Bruno threw a punch toward Tursos, his fist crackling with electricity, the sound of thunder deafening.
"Boom!" The collision echoed through the room.
Bruno felt like his fist had collided with steel—pain shot through him, intense and sharp.
Tursos, on the other hand, didn’t move an inch. The only sign of impact was a few scorch marks on his clothes.
"Not bad," Nell Gaston said, clearly satisfied. "That punch’s explosion—if it had hit an average 4th-stage Warlock-Warrior, it would’ve killed them instantly."
He gave a brief explanation: Bruno’s Warlock-Warrior level was still too low to fully unleash the power of the perfected Thunderclap Breathing thod.
If Tursos had mastered the Thunderclap Breathing thod, the destructive force of his attack would be terrifying.
Bruno nodded, agreeing with the assessnt. The key was to use the Book of All Things repeatedly, trade for enough cultivation ti, and quickly level up his Warlock-Warrior rank.
Of course, trading for the right kind of root bone was important as well.
"Bruno, my breathing technique isn’t suited for Tursos or Elena," Nell Gaston said, his expression turning serious. "Would you be willing to share your insights on perfecting the Thunderclap Breathing thod? In exchange..."
Bruno didn’t hesitate before answering, "Of course. Master, Senior Brother, and Senior Sister have all been very good to . If I can help, that’s the best I can do."
It wasn’t just words. Bruno wasn’t soone who forgot to show gratitude.
Besides, sharing the Thunderclap Breathing thod after it reached High Rank wasn’t a loss to him.
"Good," Nell said with approval. "I knew I hadn’t misjudged you. Once the martial arts hall absorbs the Heavenly Gang, you can choose the right business for yourself."
"Your Senior Brother and Senior Sister told your strength has increased again. They both thought your The Ten Thousand Hells might have reached its perfect level, so they wanted to teach you how to cultivate the Bone of the Dead. But it seems you’ve mastered the Thunderclap Breathing thod instead."
Bone of the Dead?
This was just the thing Bruno needed to help improve his root bone and accelerate his cultivation. He nodded directly and answered,
"Senior Brother and Senior Sister are right."
