Holy smokes, these ssages cost 100 bucks a pop, how many tens of thousands is this gonna send to the ga company in just a minute?
Suddenly, Selvia’s exclamation rang in my ears: “Teacher, are you alright?”
I quickly turned around and there she was, Selvia, supporting Mrs. Anwen who seed ready to faint. I exclaid in alarm: “Teacher, what’s wrong with you?”
Mrs. Anwen sighed softly: “I’m old and fragile, my mana exhausted, I can only escort you this far. Captain, you must defeat the demons and reclaim the Pool of Radiance, then find soone capable to teleport the ship out.”

Looking at her, based on the mission background, Mrs. Anwen’s ti is up, huh? Watching her frail silhouette was like looking at a candle flickering in the wind, and I unexpectedly felt a lump in my throat. I shook my head fiercely. Damn it! She neither leaves too early nor too late, just passes away right after finishing her mission, imparting the last of her knowledge – isn’t that a most satisfactory and fitting end? Why the hell should I be sad!

I may be opportunistic when playing gas, lawless, treating “lives” as nothing, never hesitating when it cos to PKing players, but with NPCs, I give them all due respect and patience. Why, you ask? NPCs are the brains, the embodint of ga rules; respecting NPCs is respecting the ga rules and benefits will follow. The more you invest, the more you gain. Even if an NPC sches against you, there’s no use holding a grudge against a computer – it’s just a ga, and if you’re screwed over, it’s just because you’re not skilled enough. Besides, even if NPCs scam players, they still have to follow ga rules, they won’t scam you to death.
But with players, it’s different. The virtual society ford by the internet is often more brutal; players are bottomless pits of ruthlessness, like yours truly. Players in the ga PK, compete for equipnt, bosses, hack accounts, deceive, or even retaliate in real life – they’re capable of anything. When a player scams another player, it’s a scam to the death.
For , spending ti with NPCs gives
a sense of security that I can’t get from players.
So people grow fonder of dogs the more ti they spend with humans; I grow more trusting of NPCs the more ti I spend with players.
Without a doubt, this lonely and perplexing solo trip in the Demon World, Mrs. Anwen has been my rock. She trained , a self-proclaid elite noob, into a true wise and helpful ntor. Now, as her mission cos to an end and she is about to leave, I am not heartless – how could I be unmoved?

I cald my sorrowful heart and checked the surroundings of the Flying. The radar showed it was clear, and not far from the tree roots was a long line of juggernaut ships – the barracks where the Flower Demon Army held the captive Abyss Lord.
The barracks were still there! My Abyss Lord was still there! I couldn’t help but smile knowingly. Excellent, I’ll head to the barracks and get a few more Flower Demons; enough ti has passed for them to have bred more troops, right? This place is the edge of the Pool of Radiance so I’ll rest for a bit first and recover the mana that the troops used up in the big battle.

In the Elf Kingdom Staff Departnt, various NPC elders and officers were all anxiously twisted in worry.
Suddenly, several officers shouted excitedly: “He’s back! Our Super Hero has triumphantly returned from the Demon World!”

An officer cried out, “Super Hero has recruited 30 Flower Demon Army from Barracks 104!”
The Great Elder hopped around manically as he yelled, “Flower Demon my ass! Forest Goddess! Imdiately initiate the World Tree ergency plan, and send the Forest Goddess to Barrack 104! Our Super Hero must be short on troops–send as many as possible!”
“Yes, elder! Relay the order to initiate the World Tree ergency plan!”

The Great Elder stomped his feet hysterically and roared, “Preparation be damned! Just initiate it!” As he spoke, his entire body flashed with Demon Light, and his hair and beard stood on end and whirled around like a Saiyan transforming. In that mont, the entire command post creaked and groaned wildly–the World Tree was vibrating! That’s right, the General Staff was inside the World Tree.
Although Eternal Star as an open beta expert didn’t know what exactly the Forest Goddess was, from the na alone, he knew it was a high-class, formidable troop type that regular players couldn’t even dream of obtaining. With this, victory was hardly out of reach!

Got it, my Artillery Emperor Level artillery would sweep through, repair barracks, and whip up winds on the way back to the battlefield. My more than one thousand Flower Demons could fix up a barracks in seconds!
And then, with a flash of golden light from the barracks, a sparkling Forest Goddess erged.
