"We need to help." said Luna and rushed after them. I followed without hesitation.
Every battle was an opportunity to earn SPs and get stronger.
So what if my wounds hadn’t completely healed yet? I could still fight. Even if I got injured, as long as I didn’t die, I could buy the Healing Potion from the SPs I would earn, it would heal to my peak condition instantly.
We soon arrived at the East Gate and saw the gate was about to be broken.
Joshua and others climbed the wall and their expressions hardened. When we also climbed the wall, we found the reason.
There were hundreds of Dark Beasts and the weakest of them seed as strong as the ones I encountered in the forest earlier.
"It seems sothing is really happening in the Black Sea." Luna said, her expression solemn.
"What do you an?" I asked. Did she say earlier that the village gets attacked every now and then?
Luna understood what I was thinking and said, "It’s true that the beasts attack the village often, they are normal beasts, not the Dark Beasts. In fact, even the hunters rarely encounter the Dark Beasts."
"But I did encounter them earlier and I hadn’t travelled deep into the forest." I countered.
"It was an unusual occurrence." Luna said, "Because of that, uncle Joshua and others went into the forest to investigate. It was only then they found out that the number of Dark Beasts has increased."
"Take bows and kill them." Joshua shouted, gripped his spear and jumped down between the beasts.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
Dozens of arrows rained down around him which struck the beasts’ vital points, severely injuring so while killing others.
’Isn’t he being too reckless?’ I thought, my brows furrowing.
The next mont when Joshua swung his spear in a full arc, beheading several dark beasts around him, I realized he wasn’t being reckless... he was just confident in his strength.
’Hm, that’s...’ I noticed every ti Joshua wielding his spear, a reddish glow would cover it and a hint of fear would flash in the dark beasts’ eyes which would stop them albeit montarily. He would take advantage of this opportunity and kill several of them.
’Is that his ability?’ I thought.
Twang!
I heard a crisp twang beside . When I looked over, I saw Luna had picked up a bow and quiver of arrows at so point and was now shooting the dark beasts down.
’I shouldn’t fall behind.’ I thought, grabbed the daggers hanging on my pants and ntally comnded the system, ’Start the stream.’

’Just 15?’ I frowned. I had hoped they would reach at least twenty. I also noticed the ’NightEmpress’ wasn’t watching and this made feel more depressed.
When I got the Piercing Strike, I didn’t know who had gifted it to since their na wasn’t revealed. But when she gave the Authority Fragnt, and the system showed the sa prompt, ’A Higher Tier viewer has gifted you...’, I realized she was the one.
Seeing that such a generous viewer hadn’t joined, I naturally didn’t feel good.
Shaking my head, I was about to jump down too because a few others had already jumped down and were fighting the beasts head-on. John was one of them.
Just as I was about to do it...
"What are you doing?" Luna’s voice stopped .
"Going down to kill my share?" I said.
Luna stared at for a mont, then glanced down at Joshua and others, "Do you know everyone down there is an Awakened?"
"Oh?" I was surprised, then looked down. Including Joshua and John, there were only five people there.
"There are only five Awakened in the village?" I asked.
Luna pursed her lips. "There are six, I’m one too, but my ability isn’t combat oriented, so I’m staying put just like everyone else who isn’t Awakened."
I understood what she ant and I felt touched that she cared enough to warn , but...
"I understand. I’ll be careful not to die." I said and jumped.
Puchi!
Thud!
Mid-air, I activated Predator’s Eyes, freezing three Dark Beasts eyeing and before I landed, I had stabbed the daggers into their eyes.
Swoosh!
The next mont, I pulled them out, stabbed them into the third beast’s eyes.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
Swoosh!
I jumped back, dodging a beast’s bite on my shoulder and slashed through its neck. I had targeted the beasts’ eyes earlier because I wasn’t confident I could kill them by targeting any of their other vital points... I had forgotten that my strength wasn’t the sa as it used to be, thus subconsciously thought I was still weak.
However when I saw my slash cutting the beast’s neck cleanly, my eyes lit up.
Right then, I felt a beast rush at from the back.
Just as I was about to turn around to deal with it.
Twang!
Thud!
The twang of a bow rang out and the beast fell to the ground dead.
I looked up and saw Luna. She was staring at in amazent.
Seeing her expression, I felt strangely good. Then, I nodded at her in thanks and began slaughtering one Dark Beast after another.
I noticed that after a while, so of the viewers were complaining that I was only targeting the weaker beasts, but I ignored them.
Now I wasn’t as weak as before and had the incredible ability—Predator’s Gaze. So, I no longer needed to push myself too much to entertain them.
I also didn’t care much about their gifts since most of them were temporary. Moreover, most of them never gifted anything. I only needed SPs which I would get as long as they were watching.

Nodding in satisfaction, I continued the slaughter.
With my increased agility and perception, it was very easy for to dodge their attacks and my strength allowed to kill them in one stab most of the ti.
Half an hour later...
Ha! Ha! Ha!
My breathing had beco strained and my muscles were turning numb.
’How many are left?’ I thought before wiping the beast’s blood off my face and looking around.
My expression fell. We had only killed less than half of the total beasts until now and as if this wasn’t bad enough...
BANG!
The gate finally shattered and the beasts began filing inside the village which forced Luna and others on the wall to co down to stop them.
I ignored them and was about to go help Luna and others when...
GROWLL!
A deep growl echoed.
The dark beasts stilled for a mont before their expression turned even more savage and they began attacking madly while completely ignoring the injuries they were receiving.
I glanced over and caught a glimpse of Joshua and bad feelings welled up within my heart because... unlike before when his expression was solemn at best, he now looked incomparably grim.
When I followed his gaze, I saw seven Dark Beasts, larger and more ferocious looking than the strongest beast I had encountered—The Cave Guardian.
"Iron Tier Beasts." a panicked shout echoed my thoughts.
[’BloodSpecter: Hehe, it’s getting interesting.]
"Shut up!" I snapped.
