Chapter 66: Chapter 66

"If I can find Knox and obtain the Innate Poison Cloud, I will spare your life."

"If I fail to obtain either of these two things..."

"...Then do not bla

for slicing open your belly, extracting those dozen or so venomous insects, and taking them away with ."

Hearing Alex deliver such terrifying words in the most calm, amiable tone imaginable, Leo couldn’t help but shudder violently. A horrifying chill ran down his spine.

At this mont, he truly wanted nothing more than to viciously slap himself a few more tis.

Leo, Leo, did you drink too much of your own toxic juice and forget your own na? Not even knowing your own weight or asure, you actually dared to make an enemy out of the Hale family’s Saint Lord.

Landing in this miserable predicant was purely a disaster of his own making.

Left with no other choice, Leo could only nod helplessly. He led Alex and Joanna out of Poison Evasion Village, heading straight toward the northern reaches of the Five Poisons Valley. Toward the Thousand Poisons Demon Cave.

Along the way, they encountered nurous toxic bogs and poison caves spewing green miasma. For those they could bypass, Leo carefully guided them around. For those they couldn’t, Alex directly leveled them to the ground using his Rakshasa Water and Fire Art.

Witnessing Alex’s overbearing, tyrannical strength firsthand, Leo’s heart sank even further.

At the sa ti, a deep, intense resentnt toward Knox swelled within him.

A asly, trash-tier Foundation Establishnt Realm cultivator actually dared to make an enemy of Alex. The fact that he managed to retreat from the Hale family’s holy land in one piece multiple tis was already extraordinary rcy.

Yet he still didn’t cherish his life. Still continued to overrate his own abilities. And now, he had dragged Leo down into this ss.

Truly fucking hateful.

Roughly one hour later, the three arrived outside the Thousand Poisons Demon Cave.

A cavern about nine ters high. Its interior pitch-black as ink. So dark one couldn’t see their own fingers stretched out before them.

Resting beside the entrance, a Five-Colored Phoenix Lord was dozing with its eyes closed.

Leo hastily said. "Saint Lord Alex, this is the place!"

"This Five-Colored Phoenix Lord is the very spiritual beast that carried Knox to the Five Poisons Valley!"

Alex nodded slightly.

A playful, mocking smile curled on his lips.

Leo faintly guessed his intentions and said weakly. "Saint Lord Alex, please calm down..."

"This Five-Colored Phoenix Lord is, after all, a spiritual beast raised by the Heavenly Fla Empress..."

"So what?" Alex asked with deep amusent.

"This place touches neither the heavens above nor the earth below."

"If you don’t speak, and I don’t speak, how will Aurelia ever know?"

"Don’t tell ... you intend to sell

out, forcing

to silence you permanently?"

Leo shuddered and frantically shook his head. "This lowly one will absolutely never breathe a word!"

"I swear upon my very soul, even if the Heavenly Fla Empress captures

and tortures , I will never leak half a syllable!"

People of this world took their oaths extrely seriously. Even a petty villain like Leo firmly believed that gods watched from three feet above. He would absolutely never dare break a soul oath.

Feeling slightly reassured, Alex unhurriedly stepped forward.

The Five-Colored Phoenix Lord sensed the approaching danger and abruptly opened its eyes. It glared vigilantly at Alex, letting out a sharp, piercing cry.

Alex’s figure simply flickered. He teleported directly in front of the beast. Spiritual energy swirled around his left hand as his five fingers transford into razor-sharp claws, pitch-black as ink.

With a sickening squelch, he plunged his hand straight into the Five-Colored Phoenix Lord’s chest cavity.

"SCREEECH!" The beast let out a miserable, agonizing shriek as the radiant light covering its body instantly dissipated.

Without changing his expression, Alex ripped out a cluster of crimson blood essence from the beast’s chest.

With a heavy thud, the Five-Colored Phoenix Lord collapsed into a pool of its own blood. Its body twitched a few tis before it breathed its last.

"Joanna, eat this cluster of Phoenix Blood Essence." Alex smiled faintly.

"The blood essence of a Five-Colored Phoenix Lord is a massive tonic for a female cultivator’s cultivation base."

"After consuming it, you will be able to easily step into the Core Formation Realm."

Joanna was utterly dumbfounded. Deeply shaken by the Saint Lord’s fierce, ruthless thods. After a long while, she nodded blankly and stepped forward to accept the cluster of essence blood.

She hesitated inwardly for a long ti before finally making up her mind. Fighting back the nausea and disgust, she stuffed it into her mouth and swallowed it down.

"Th-thank you, Saint Lord!" This was a fortuitous encounter specially bestowed upon her. No matter how disgusting, she had to gladly accept it. Otherwise, the Saint Lord would never grant her resources again.

After swallowing the Phoenix Blood Essence, Joanna felt a faint heat blooming in her lower abdon. A massive, majestic surge of spiritual energy manifested within her body, rapidly rging with her Dantian.

Joy instantly flooded her face.

"Saint Lord, I can feel it! The power of the Phoenix Blood Essence is elevating my cultivation!"

"Before the next assembly, I will definitely break through to the Core Formation Realm!"

Alex stood with his arms crossed and smiled faintly.

"Leo, we can now enter the Thousand Poisons Demon Cave and find that Knox."

Leo pondered for a mont and said cautiously. "Saint Lord Alex, how about this?"

"You and Lady Joanna can just wait outside the cave."

"Let this lowly one go in alone. I guarantee I will bring both Knox and the Innate Poison Cloud out to you!"

"Oh?" Alex raised an eyebrow.

"Why?"

"Because... this Thousand Poisons Demon Cave is extrely dangerous. There are lethal toxins everywhere." Leo forced a smile.

"Even for a powerhouse like Saint Lord Alex, if you were to accidentally get poisoned, it would be highly troubleso."
