"And asked to agree to Luca’s request."

Kara’s lips curved slightly. "Junior brother, I guess you already have a way to deal with it."

She leaned forward, resting her elbows on the table, propping up her fair face with the backs of her hands. Her lashes were long, her brows soft and curved like distant mountains, and her eyes—once cold and sharp—now carried an unusual gentleness as they settled on Ethan.

Though Kara and Lyralei were sisters, they were completely different kinds of beauty.

Lyralei was aloof, sharp-edged, like ice under moonlight.

Kara, by contrast, was petite and graceful, her temperant warm once the guard around her heart lowered—far more approachable.

Ethan shook his head slowly and sighed.

"Senior Sister, you dug a pit for ."

"Hmm?"

Kara raised a finger and gently shook it.

"I didn’t dig a pit," she replied with a faint smile.

"It was you, junior brother, who asked to drink poisonous wine and agree to Luca’s shaless demands."

If Morwen were awake, she would be shocked speechless.

Her master—who was usually strict, distant, and rarely smiled—was speaking so softly now, as though chatting with an old friend she had known for years.

In the Black Demon Sect, Kara almost never revealed such a relaxed side.

Ethan chuckled. "Senior Sister Kara really is smart—much smarter than that foolish woman Lyralei."

Kara narrowed her eyes.

"What happened between you and her?"

"It’s nothing," Ethan replied casually.

"You’ll know when you return to the sect."

Kara snorted softly.

"Alright. No gossip."

She paused, then spoke again. "I’ve obtained a Sage Token."

Kara’s eyes brightened slightly. "A Sage Token? How did you get it?"

"How I got it," Ethan said calmly, "you’ll find out in ti."

He leaned back, his tone turning steady and decisive.

"In three months, you’ll enter the Training Trial Secret Realm with Luca, just as he demanded."

Kara frowned instinctively.

"I’ll follow you in," Ethan continued, his voice low and firm.

"Once inside, everything will be under my control."

As he spoke, he flicked his wrist. A jade slip flew through the air and landed neatly in front of Kara.

"Keep this jade slip. You can contact anyti through it."

Kara picked it up, examined it briefly, then stored it away.

"How do you plan to deal with Luca?" she asked seriously.

"I’ll cooperate fully."

"The demons are already set on killing ," Ethan said indifferently.

"The Training Trial Secret Realm is a once-in-a-lifeti chance. Since it’s here, I’ll take it."

A cold glint flashed through his eyes.

"This ti, I’ll make sure they never co back."

Kara’s expression stiffened.

"Junior brother... are you alone?" she asked quietly.

Ethan smiled faintly.

"Aren’t you here, senior sister?"

...

Kara exhaled slowly.

"I don’t want to pour cold water on you," she said, her tone turning grave, "but you need to understand sothing."

"This ti, six demon sects have co from Blackspire Mountain. Among them, the Black Demon Sect is the weakest."

She looked straight at Ethan.

"You know the Heavenly Demon Sect’s foundation. In the past, they were only slightly stronger than the Holy Land of Endless Mountains."

"But after hundreds of years of expansion, they’ve widened the gap completely. Now, the Heavenly Demon Sect is not even weaker than the Palace of the Four Cycles."

Ethan raised an eyebrow.

"Not weaker than the Palace of the Four Cycles... interesting. They hide it well."

Kara continued, her voice calm but heavy.

"Luca himself is terrifying. He possesses the bloodline of Xarion Veldrith, has stepped into the Upper Supre Realm, and holds status that can’t be asured by ordinary logic."

"He’s practically invincible below the Ultimate Supre."

"And he won’t enter alone."

"Every sect is sending geniuses. Several powerful Supres will accompany him. He holds multiple Sage Tokens."

She paused.

"Junior brother, relying on yourself alone... I’m afraid it will be extrely difficult."

The Training Trial Secret Realm was special.

Once inside, all realms were suppressed to Mahayana.

No matter how high one’s cultivation outside, it would be equalized inside.

What mattered then was experience, combat ability, thods, and hidden cards.

One against ten?

Unless absolute suppression existed, it was nearly impossible.

Kara was worried.

Ethan wasn’t just any disciple—he was the strongest of the Azure Origin Dao Sect, its greatest talent since founding, its future.

She could not afford for him to fall there.

"Senior Sister Kara," Ethan said lightly, "do you really have so little confidence in ?"

"It’s not that," Kara replied, shaking her head.

"It’s because the Training Trial Secret Realm is special."

"Luca will lead ten elites. Even if you’re stronger, numbers still matter. If sothing happens to you, how will I explain it to Master?"

Ethan laughed softly.

"I didn’t expect Senior Sister Kara to care so much about my safety."

"I’ll rember this."

Then his expression sharpened.

"But don’t worry. I never fight a battle I’m unsure of."

"Senior Sister, relax. Once inside, just follow my instructions."

"Leave the entire Heavenly Demon Sect to ."

He stood up slowly, confidence radiating from his posture and voice.

For a brief mont, Kara felt her heart waver.

There was sothing infectious about Ethan’s certainty—so firm that even impossible things seed montarily plausible.

For an instant, she almost believed it.

That he could really bury Luca and his followers inside the Emperor Sage’s secret realm.

But reason quickly reasserted itself.

"Junior brother," she said firmly, "we still have three months. Prepare properly."

"Don’t rush. Let’s plan carefully."

"No need," Ethan replied with a grin. "Just trust ."

He paused, then added playfully:

"Otherwise, how about a bet?"

Kara raised an eyebrow.

"What bet?"

"If I wipe out Luca and his group in the Training Trial Secret Realm," Ethan said lightly, "then Senior Sister Kara will warm my bed from then on. How about that?"

"Warm... warm your bed?!"

Kara froze for a split second before her face darkened.

"Master is so serious. Why are you not serious at all?"

Ethan burst into laughter.

"Alright, alright. Senior Sister Kara, it’s late. You should rest."

"See you in three months!"

With that, he vanished from the room.
