Thousand Faces lowered his gaze and examined himself, the aura around him boiling like a storm-tossed sea. His physical form twisted subtly, bones tightening, muscles sharpening—his body transforming as if reforged in an unseen furnace.

In rely a breath, his cultivation surged violently upward, his realm stabilizing at the late stage of the Upper Supre Realm.

Although the heightened state would only last half an hour, for him, that was more than enough.

Enough to kill Asher.

Enough to kill Ethan.

"Shadow Clone."

Thousand Faces pressed both palms together, and the shadow energy on his body surged wildly.

Behind him, the darkness rippled, condensed, and rose. A black figure stepped out of the wavering shadow—first an outline, then flesh, and finally a perfect duplicate of Thousand Faces himself.

Appearance, aura, posture—identical.

Without careful observation, even a Supre Realm expert would be unable to distinguish clone from original.

"My clone possesses half my current strength," Thousand Faces sneered.

"That’s equivalent to the peak of the Interdiate Supre Realm. Tell ... how will Ethan resist it?"

Asher’s expression tensed for the slightest mont, then he chuckled.

"If you underestimate Ethan, you’ll pay dearly."

Though concern flickered in his heart, Asher still chose to trust Ethan. The boy had already proven himself countless tis.

"Go," Thousand Faces commanded coldly.

"Kill him."

Even before the last syllable fell, the shadow clone blurred—it collapsed into a streak of black mist and shot toward Ethan like a hunting beast.

Ethan raised his head slowly, his expression calm.

As the looming shadow approached like death itself, he snorted.

"Silver Guardian."

A beam of brilliant silver burst forth, expanding into a towering armored guardian that stood like a city wall, intercepting the charging black shadow head-on.

At the sa ti, Ethan grabbed a handful of pills and swallowed them without hesitation.

Energy roared through his channels, mixing with the thunderous vitality of his Celestial Jade Physique Scripture. Power surged from his veins like floodwaters breaking through a dam, seeping into his limbs, cleansing his bones, restoring his physical strength.

Three minutes.

As long as the Silver Guardian could last three minutes, it would be enough.

Enough for him to recover seventy percent of his strength.

Enough to activate the Chaos Clock again.

Boom!!

The shadow clone’s fist exploded outward, its dark aura swirling like a pool of viscous ink. The impact engulfed the Silver Guardian entirely. For a mont, the figure disappeared beneath churning darkness.

But—

Silver radiance burst outward violently as the guardian ripped free, arms spreading wide as spiritual waves surged from its body.

Yet in that instant, Thousand Faces’ clone flashed behind it, moving like a phantom, closing in on Ethan.

The Silver Guardian dissolved into a streak of silver light, intercepting the clone a split second later. Its enormous fist hamred downward, distorting space as it fell.

"Whirlpool—condense!"

The clone spun, hands forming a rapid seal. A black vortex spiraled into existence, swallowing the guardian’s punch whole. It was like trying to strike water—no resistance, no impact, only eerie silence.

The sudden lack of feedback forced the Silver Guardian to stagger back.

"Nightfall Vortex Chain!"

Three tendrils of shadow shot from beneath the clone’s feet, twisting like serpents around the Silver Guardian’s limbs. They solidified into whirling black vortices, dragging it down and binding it completely.

Ethan’s brows furrowed slightly.

As expected, a clone possessing more than half the strength of Thousand Faces was powerful—too powerful for a simple puppet of the elentary supre grade.

But Ethan was not surprised. He had predicted this outco.

"Burst."

At his command, the Silver Guardian detonated all remaining spiritual energy in its core. A massive shockwave erupted, shattering the black vortex chains instantly, sending fragnts of shadow scattering like torn cloth.

But the cost was steep.

The Guardian slumped. Its core dimd, energy exhausted. It could no longer fight.

"Return."

The puppet dissolved into silver light and flew back into Ethan’s ring.

"Good work," Ethan whispered.

Yet Thousand Faces’ clone had already reached him, a long black sword materializing in its grip. The blade glead with malice as it thrust forward—straight at Ethan’s brow.

"Ethan," the clone said coldly, "I possess the strength of a Peak Interdiate Supre. How will you deal with ?"

"Give what I want, and I may spare your life. Refuse, and you will certainly die today."

Ethan laughed.

"If you want sothing, you’d better have the ability to take it."

Golden energy burst from his body like a rising sun, arcs of lightning dancing across his skin. The pressure spread outward violently, twisting the air around him.

"Keke... impressive montum," the clone mocked.

"But still far from enough."

He vanished.

In the next instant—

The blade pierced straight through Ethan’s forehead.

"Hmph," the clone scoffed.

"You couldn’t even react to a single strike, yet you dared run your mouth. Truly laughable—"

But before he could retract his sword, Ethan’s figure flickered—

—and dissipated.

"Afterimage?!"

Thousand Faces’ clone jerked his head upward.

Ethan hovered above, smiling leisurely.

"Haha. Your speed isn’t bad. You must have trained in so decent movent techniques," the clone sneered.

"Not bad yourself," Ethan replied.

"Try catching ."

He had used Glimpse Step—a simple technique he mastered long ago. For most cultivators of Nirvana and Supre Realm, it was insignificant.

But in Ethan’s hands, even the simplest technique could be executed to frightening effect.

"Hmph. Let’s see how many tis you can dodge!"

Thousand Faces leapt upward, slashing out a crescent of black sword light. The arc tore through the air, sharp enough to shear mountains.

Ethan flickered into lightning, dodging ten feet away instantly. The attack missed.

"Boy, can you only run?" the clone growled.

"It’s not my problem you can’t hit ," Ethan said cheerfully.

"Your skill is just lacking."

"Arrogant brat," the clone snarled, fury twisting his expression.

"I’ll break your limbs and sew your mouth shut!"

His aura surged.

"Super Inheritance Technique—Shadowed Earth Fiend Sword Technique."

"Final Style—Instant Shadow Kill!"

Sword intent exploded like a roaring tempest, dispersing all clouds above. The shadow spiritual energy surged madly as the clone’s blade turned pitch-black, exuding a deadly aura.

He locked onto Ethan like a venomous predator.

And then—

The clone vanished into darkness.

In the next heartbeat, Thousand Faces’ clone turned into a black shadow and attacked Ethan.
