The world-shrouding frost fog thinned little by little, losing its icy intent as the prison chains pulsed with soft blue light. When the mist fully dispersed, Iris and Grey both appeared—trapped firmly within the Prison Dragon Lock.

The iron-blue cage tightened like the jaws of a slumbering ancient dragon.

Iris and Grey imdiately channeled their spiritual energy, unleashing attacks that violently struck the cage walls. Sparks flew. Energy rippled.

But the cage didn’t even tremble.

"Frost Sword, break it for !"

Grey roared, swinging the gleaming holy-grade sword with all his remaining might. The sword intent tore through the air and crashed into the iron cage—

Only to be swallowed by its azure glow without leaving a single scratch.

Grey’s expression instantly darkened. He glared at Althea, a hint of disbelief in his frosty blue eyes.

"Is this... a high-level holy-grade spiritual weapon? Who are you?"

Beside him, Iris’s brows furrowed coldly. Her sharp intuition imdiately recognized the truth—this woman’s identity and background were anything but ordinary. To wield such a weapon at a re Third-turn Mahayana realm...

Even soone from a Ancient Emperor Clan would not casually hold such a treasure.

Althea only smiled faintly.

"Haha, you don’t need to know who I am."

Her voice was calm, yet filled with confidence that pierced the battlefield like a sword tip.

"The holy weapon in your hand is impressive," she continued lightly, eyes drifting to Grey’s Frost Sword,

"but it’s wasted on you. If that woman behind you used it, it might stand a chance of breaking my Prison Dragon Lock."

Grey and Iris’s expressions stiffened at the subtle mockery, but Althea ignored them and raised her voice.

"Everyone, these two have been trapped. Let’s take action together!"

"Okay!" Latham and the others answered simultaneously, unleashing their prepared killing strikes.

The atmosphere exploded with spiritual lights of various colors.

But Iris suddenly let out a cold laugh.

"Do you really think this high-level holy spiritual weapon can trap us?"

Her expression twisted into sothing fierce and desperate. A circular compass appeared in her hand—dark, ancient, etched with incomprehensible runes.

Dozens of drops of blood essence floated out of her pores at once, each drop trembling with her Ice Phoenix bloodline’s purity.

"Sacrifice my blood essence—Compass of Heaven and Earth, Emperor appear!"

The compass rose above her head, spinning slowly. At the sa ti, it drained her spiritual energy at an alarming rate.

Her aura weakened instantly, her face turning pale.

Then—

Boom!!!

The compass expanded rapidly, glowing with ancient symbols. Dark golden light surged across its surface like primordial fire.

The compass hands spun wildly. A terrifying pressure swept across the land.

The sky darkened. Clouds churned. Lightning and thunder crashed violently.

The earth shook, cracking beneath their feet.

Lands splintered. Space itself tore open in jagged seams.

Everyone froze, fear gripping their hearts.

"What kind of power is this?!"

"Look! Above!"

"Is that... a divine weapon?!"

Latham’s voice shook.

Zeon’s expression sank instantly. His voice was grave, almost trembling.

"This... this is an divine weapon. A true artifact! In the entire Verdant Lantern Empire, only two exist!"

His hands trembled slightly as the truth settled in.

"If a divine weapon has been activated... we’re all in mortal danger! Brother Magnus, Brother Ethan, Miss Althea, Lana—retreat at once!"

"Senior Sister Althea, retreat!" Ethan ordered, eyes fixed on the spinning compass.

Althea didn’t hesitate. She withdrew the Prison Dragon Lock and leapt backward.

The others followed, pulling back until they reached a safer distance.

Only Ethan remained where he stood.

The storm raged around him. Winds tore at his clothes. Lightning fell like furious serpents.

Yet Ethan stood unmoving—calm, steady, like a mountain rooted in the heavens.

Iris sneered coldly.

"Ethan, you’re the most arrogant person I’ve ever seen. A divine weapon has descended, yet you dare not flee?"

"But it’s understandable," Grey added, wiping the blood from his lips. "After all, you will die under its power anyway."

They both raised their heads.

"The Compass of Heaven and Earth—Shadow of the Emperor, condense!"

Grey sacrificed more drops of blood essence. His spiritual energy was instantly sucked dry, leaving him deathly pale.

The compass grew even larger, blotting out the sun. A massive blue shadow slowly ford behind it—an emperor-like figure with boundless might.

More powerful than Victor Ashenvale’s shadow by countless tis.

"The emperor’s shadow has taken form," Iris declared.

"Everyone, die!"

The emperor phantom’s eyes snapped open, glaring down at the battlefield like an ancient god.

Just its presence pressed everyone to the ground. Their bodies trembled. Knees buckled.

A crushing palm descended.

Thunder bood. Air shattered.

Magnus, Zeon, Latham, and the others instantly spat blood, their energy and blood surging chaotically.

But Ethan—

He was completely unhard.

A dark golden light radiated from his hand. It enveloped him in a divine glow that even the emperor’s shadow could not shake.

"What?! Why is he unaffected?!"

"No... what is that in his hand?" Iris’s pupils shrank violently.

"That aura... a divine weapon! He has a divine weapon!"

Ethan moved.

He shot up into the sky, rising toward the emperor phantom.

The power radiating from the heavenly shadow was enough to obliterate even a Supre realm expert.

The emperor shadow’s cold voice echoed:

"Who dares ignore the emperor’s might?"

Ethan sneered lightly.

"Hehe."

He extended his hand.

"Chaos Clock—suppress."

The small dark golden bell erged—and instantly devoured every drop of energy in Ethan’s body. The Chaos Clock glowed faintly, as if awakening from a million-year slumber.

And then—

BOOM—!!!

The Chaos Clock expanded into a colossal divine artifact, runes blazing like molten gold.

Its oppressive aura dwarfed the emperor’s shadow and the Compass of Heaven and Earth entirely.

Iris and Grey’s faces twisted in horror.

"No—this is... a higher level artifact!"

"Young Master, we must go!"

Iris tried to move, but—

Her spiritual energy froze.

Her body refused to obey.

"Aunt Iris!" Grey gritted his teeth, but he, too, could not move.
