The next day, Ethan walked to the inn beside the Blood Tavern. Morning sunlight fell diagonally across the wooden walls, and the inn’s second floor was quiet and undisturbed. Ethan reached a particular room, lifted his hand, and knocked twice on the door.

"Who?" Edwin’s familiar voice ca from inside.

"I."

"...Ethan?"

Ashira hurried over and opened the door. The mont she saw Ethan, her eyes brightened and she bowed lightly.

"I’ve t Senior Brother Ethan."

"You don’t have to be so reserved," Ethan said, waving his hand casually.

"It’s too out-of-touch."

Ashira smiled, cheeks slightly red, and poured him a cup of tea.

"Senior Brother Ethan, here."

Edwin adjusted his posture and asked, "Are you planning to return to Azure Origin Dao Sect since you ca looking for today?"

"No," Ethan replied.

"I ca to find Uncle Edwin because I need your help with sothing."

Edwin laughed. "What’s the big deal? Just say it—I’ll do it."

"For small things, let Ashira help ."

Ethan’s gaze drifted to the elegant girl beside him.

Ashira blinked, lowering her head slightly. She wasn’t sure what he wanted her to do, but she straightened her posture subconsciously.

"Oh?" Edwin chuckled.

"So you’re here for Ashira. This girl isn’t close to at all. She’s been clamoring to look for you every day, but I didn’t let her go out—not everyone can walk into the Blood Tavern as they please."

He waved his hand.

"But since you’re here today, take her with you. Saves from hearing her whisper nonsense all day."

"Yeah." Ethan stood.

"Ashira, co with ."

She imdiately followed.

Before leaving, Ethan turned and said, "Sothing big might happen in the next few days. Uncle Edwin, please remain at the inn. Don’t leave Noble Sun City."

Edwin nodded. "Since you said so, I won’t take a single step outside."

He waved them off.

Ethan led Ashira out of the inn. Before coming here, he had walked around the entire Noble Sun City.

Every force was silent.

Every rooftop shadow seed too still.

On the surface, the city was calm.

In truth, an undercurrent of killing intent surged beneath the streets.

A storm was building.

Once people like Ethan—who had purchased heavy treasures—left Noble Sun City, the various forces would strike without hesitation.

Ethan brought Ashira to a teahouse and sat on the second-floor balcony overlooking the street.

Ashira poured him tea.

"Senior Brother Ethan, whatever you need, Ashira will do it."

Her red cheeks and earnest gaze made her sincerity unmistakable. She owed her life to Ethan twice—offering her life in return wouldn’t be excessive.

"Are you familiar with the people below?" Ethan asked, staring toward a tavern nearby.

Three figures in white cloaks walked inside.

Ashira’s eyes sharpened.

"What a strong aura..."

Her pupils trembled slightly.

"No—the one with the weaker aura... that’s Seraphina!"

Her tone held obvious displeasure.

"Still holding grudges?" Ethan asked.

"Of course!" Ashira pouted.

"If she weren’t a saint of the sect, I would’ve bitten her head off that day!"

"Yes. That’s her." Ethan looked at her.

"Help keep an eye on her and the two with her. Just observe—don’t alert them. One of them is a Supre Realm powerhouse."

Ashira’s expression turned serious.

"Senior Brother Ethan, don’t worry! I’ll watch from a distance. I’m not stupid enough to provoke a Supre."

"Good." Ethan handed her a scythe talisman. Cold light flickered across its surface.

"If Seraphina and the others leave Noble Sun City, inject ntal energy into this talisman. I’ll sense it imdiately."

He tapped the talisman gently.

"There are also three of my Scythe attacks stored inside. Killing a Ninth-Turn Mahayana won’t be difficult. If you’re in danger, treat it as a life-saving trump card."

Ashira accepted it carefully.

"I understand."

Ethan nodded lightly.

And in the next second—he vanished.

"So... fast."

Ashira blinked rapidly.

Senior Brother Ethan, who had been right in front of her, had turned into a fading afterimage.

Ashira prided herself on her speed—she considered herself faster than most Mahayana cultivators. If she risked her life and fled, even a Seventh-turn might not catch her.

But Senior Brother Ethan’s speed—

She couldn’t even see his movent clearly.

"Is this... really the speed soone in the Nirvana Realm can have?"

Ashira looked at the street blankly.

"Senior Brother Ethan... what level have you reached?"

Her mind drifted to Ethan’s effortless crushing of Bram and the others. The power he displayed was terrifying.

Such strength could only be compared to a true Supre Realm powerhouse.

...

Ethan returned to the Blood Tavern.

Then, using the sa thod as before—combining the treasure bone technique with the Five Elents Escape Technique—he slipped out of Noble Sun City in minutes.

He arrived at the remote place where he had previously cultivated in seclusion.

An hour passed.

Ethan clapped his hands lightly.

All eighteen formations were in place.

There were all trapping formations, defensive formation, offensive and killing formation.

All ticulously arranged.

Every one of them was set to greet the Ashenvale family.

When he left Noble Sun City openly, he would lure those fools into this place.

Eighteen formations might not be the highest grade, but dealing with the entire Ashenvale family wouldn’t be a problem.

These formations weren’t ant to kill them outright.

They were ant to prevent anyone from escaping.

Of course, this wasn’t all he had prepared.

Ethan entered the cave and sat cross-legged. Several jade bottles appeared in front of him.

Five top-grade Mahayana Pills from the conference.

And more than twenty Mahayana Pills seized from Bram and the others.

Together, these pills should help him survive the two layered or even three layered Nirvana Tribulation.

"With power increased... I’ll have a better chance against that mysterious group."

He closed his eyes and cleared his mind.

Cultivation surged.

By nightfall, the opportunity opened before him.

Dark clouds spread across the sky. Thunder rumbling like a primordial beast awakened.

Nirvana tribulation descended once again.

And like before, the tribulation stacked itself.

Ethan swallowed every Nirvana Pill in one breath.

A suit of heaven-and-earth energy armor ford around him. A golden elental shield unfolded like a celestial flower.

In the skies above, golden lightning churned violently.

"Only two layers of Nirvana tribulation?"

Ethan frowned slightly at the celestial sight.

He had expected more.

But he didn’t overthink it.

As strength climbed higher, breaking through realms naturally beca increasingly difficult.
