Linsley smirked, his mind already racing with ideas. "You're not wrong. Alright, let's do it. But if we're pulling this off, it has to be flawless. No glitches, no shortcuts. If we're going to drag an entire gaming convention into a zombie apocalypse, we're going to do it right."

Aurielle practically vibrated with excitent. "Finally, soone who gets it! Alright, give a second."

She closed her eyes, her hands glowing with a faint violet light as her Gift Creation gift activated.

Within monts, a glowing sphere materialized in her palm. She opened her eyes, tossing it into the air with a flourish.

"There. A gift for creating and maintaining a seamless virtual ga world. Now, Linsley, it's your turn to bring this bad boy to life."

Linsley extended his hand, his white flux swirling around him like mist. The sphere absorbed the flux, glowing brighter as his Real Fantasy gift lded with Aurielle's creation.

The room around them began to shift, the air humming with energy as reality itself warped.

The walls of the convention hall lted away, replaced by the crumbling remains of a post-apocalyptic city. Skyscrapers lood overhead, their windows shattered and vines creeping up their sides.

The distant sound of groaning zombies echoed through the streets, accompanied by the faint rustle of wind.

Linsley raised an eyebrow as he surveyed their handiwork. "Not bad. Almost too real."

Aurielle grinned triumphantly. "Told you it'd be fun. Now, let's invite our players."

With a wave of her hand, a glowing portal opened, pulling in everyone from the convention.

The gars appeared one by one, blinking in disbelief as they took in their surroundings.

The bustling lights and noise of the convention hall had been replaced by the eerie silence of a crumbling city. The distant growls of zombies and the faint rustle of wind set the tone for what awaited them.

Skyscrapers lood overhead, their shattered windows and creeping vines painted a vivid picture of an apocalypse frozen in ti. Fires smoldered in the distance, casting flickering shadows that danced ominously across the cracked streets.

Aurielle clapped her hands together, her grin as wide as ever. "Ladies and gentlen, welco to your new reality! I hope you've got your survival instincts polished, because you're going to need them."

The gars, initially stunned, began to murmur among themselves, so laughing nervously while others exchanged excited glances. A few tested their new bodies, noticing their VR avatars moved seamlessly, as if they were in their own skin.

A holographic Aurielle materialized above the crumbling city, her voice booming theatrically. "This is [The Last Stand]! Your goal is simple—survive."

"Scavenge for supplies, work together, or go solo if you dare. Reach the safe zone at the far end of the city to win. But be warned: zombies aren't your only obstacle. Expect surprises along the way. And yes," she added with a smirk, "if you die in the ga, you'll be kicked back into the real world. No sha in it… mostly."

The crowd broke into laughter, so already hyped by the challenge.

Linsley stepped beside Aurielle, his gaze scanning the streets, taking in the world they had created.

He rolled his shoulders, testing the weight of the baseball bat that had materialized in his hands. "No gifts, huh? So, just our wits, grit, and whatever weapons we can find?"

"Exactly!" Aurielle said, her eyes gleaming with excitent. "We wanted realism, didn't we? Guns, lee weapons, maybe so canned beans if you're lucky. The best part? No 'Emperor of the Astral Dominion' nonsense here. You're just another survivor."

She tilted her head toward him, a mischievous smirk tugging at her lips. "Think you can handle it?"

Linsley smirked back. "You know I thrive on a challenge."

Aurielle gave Linsley a playful nudge as they stood among the scattered players. "Alright, Emperor. Let's show them how it's done. First stop—looting spree. Supermarkets should have everything we need."

"Lead the way, Queen of the Amazons," Linsley said with a teasing smirk, gripping the bat that materialized in his hand.

The two of them moved cautiously through the desolate streets, ducking behind rusted cars and stepping over debris.

Every sound—the creak of a swaying sign, the distant shuffle of footsteps—kept them on edge. The realistic details of the virtual world were staggering, a perfect blend of tension and imrsion.

Aurielle peeked around the corner of a crumbling brick building, her violet eyes gleaming with excitent as she spotted a dilapidated supermarket with shattered windows. "Jackpot."

"Think it's empty?" Linsley asked, his tone skeptical as he shifted the bat onto his shoulder.

Aurielle grinned. "Only one way to find out."

The two entered cautiously, the air thick with the sll of mildew and decay.

Overturned shelves littered the floor, their contents scattered in disarray. A rusting shopping cart sat on its side, its wheels squeaking faintly with the breeze.

Aurielle motioned to the back. "Alright, split up. We'll cover more ground this way—food, weapons, maybe a flashlight if we're lucky."

Linsley nodded, making his way toward the nearest aisle. He sifted through the rubble, managing to find a half-empty box of energy bars, a couple of water bottles, and a crowbar.

Testing its weight in his hand, he muttered, "This'll do."

Aurielle, anwhile, rummaged through the pharmacy section, her excitent unmistakable.

"Bandages, painkillers… oh, and look at this—a bottle labeled 'zombie repellent.'"

She laughed, tossing it into her makeshift satchel. "Not sure if it works, but it's got style."

"Does it sll like disappointnt?" Linsley called from another aisle.

"Probably," Aurielle replied with a grin. "But I couldn't resist."

The faint crunch of glass underfoot snapped both of them to attention.

Linsley's grip tightened on his crowbar as his eyes scanned the shadowy corners of the store.

"Did you hear that?" he asked quietly.

Aurielle nodded, her pistols already in her hands. "Company."

A guttural moan echoed from the darkness, growing louder as the unmistakable shuffle of feet drew closer. Three zombies erged from the shadows, their decayed forms moving with unrelenting hunger.

Aurielle's grin widened. "Finally, so action."
