Regardless of the many individuals likely keeping an eye on him, Arias still chose to make the trip to et with the figureheads behind the operation Slade had inford him about. Chances were high that the people he was eting were among the world's elite as well; thus, the venue they would prepare would obviously not lack privacy from prying eyes.
It was only on the day of departure that Arias was inford of the location: Monaco. A lavish city filled with millionaires and celebrities, one of Europe's most popular destinations.
The guise of the eting was a yacht party among many of the world's elite—an invite-only event. This gave the attendees an excuse to gather without having people be any wiser about the true intent of the gathering.
The trip was made by only Arias and Slade. He initially thought of bringing Diana to better mask his cover there, but with an angry Lex still lurking around, he needed her to remain in Gotham, sothing the feisty Amazon understood clearly.
...
Arias's jet landed at the airport around 5 p.m. Once there, he and Slade were greeted by a private security detail who would be escorting them during their stay. While there, all their expenses were covered, apparently—a fact that especially appealed to Slade. Once he and Arias got into the lavish coupe that would be taking them to their place of residence, he didn't hesitate to voice his happiness.
"Haven't been treated this well since my ti in Cancun. Everyone was just so friendly, you know? If you're hungry, there's a local willing to cook you a feast for a dollar. If you're stressed, there's a man willing to give you his wife and daughter, room service too. There's no place like Cancun, I tell ya."
Slade sported a reminiscent grin as he looked back on many of his travels. Oddly enough, Arias could relate to his words. "True, until they try to spike your food and steal your things."
His reply had Slade laughing even harder. "That's the fun part. One ti, I shot the man in the legs and gave his wife so primal back shots before filling each of her holes. After, I made him eat—"
Before Slade could continue his tales of Cancun, the car they were in ca to a screeching halt. Almost imdiately, Slade's expression changed to a serious one, and so did Arias's. The two gave each other a side-eye but said nothing. An eerie silence followed within the car until suddenly... both of them ducked their heads!
Crack!~
Less than a split second later, the car window shattered and a hand holding a kunai smashed through on all four sides. The driver and bodyguard upfront were slow in their reactions and thus had the kunai shoved into their necks.
"Well, shit!" Slade cursed before opening the door with his head still ducked, forcing the attacker to back away. Arias was more vicious in his retaliation as he banged on the door and caused it to fly out. The unsuspecting attacker traveled with the heavy door and stopped only when a collision with a street wall on the side of the road was made.
Both Arias and Slade ca out of the car and locked eyes with the two attackers who struck at the front seats. They were both fairly attractive won.
The attackers sported frowns at the failed attacks but quickly raised their kunai again, ready to strike.
On Slade's side, he had to face two—the one that backed away and the one who attacked the passenger's seat—whereas Arias only needed to face one, as the individual who attacked his side was smashed by the door into a bloody ss on the wall.
Because Arias and Slade had to move quietly, the road the attack took place on was relatively deserted but still had so eyes around. "Slade!" Arias called, and almost imdiately, Slade understood.
"I know, let's run!"
Without hesitation, both Slade and Arias kept their heads ducked and made a run for it in different directions on either side of the road.
"After zhem! You, keep ze Deathztroke buzy. Our target is ze othver one," one of the attackers ordered in a very thick, exotic accent.
Without delay, one pursued Slade, and the other two chased after Arias. He looked back and saw them in hot pursuit but only raised a curious brow before running even faster.
While passing by an unsuspecting person, Arias grabbed the individual's scarf and used it to hide part of his face. This wasn't to fool the two trained assassins on his tail but instead to avoid being placed at the scene later on.
Because they took such a deserted route, it wasn't long before Arias made his way through so passages in-between buildings. In that very passage, he found a man exiting his ho, and he took the opportunity to push the man back inside before forcibly entering.
"W-what are you doing? Please, I have no mo—" The man, who assud he was getting robbed, got no chance to plead as Arias quickly snapped his neck. An unfortunate event for soone who was simply at the wrong place at the wrong ti.
The assassins, who weren't far behind, had obviously seen him enter the ho, so they didn't hesitate to rush in as well. However, the mont they did so, the door seemingly shut on its own.
Surprised, they both looked back, thinking he had hidden behind the door and run out. But in that mont, they were distracted. Arias used his telekinesis on their limbs and heads, keeping each in place.
Their information suggested Arias was normal—perhaps fit and in good shape, but normal. Because of that, they were completely unprepared for the sudden appearance of a special ability.
Arias walked out from the corner he had his back to with an irritated expression. He approached them both and stopped only a few ters away before speaking.
"You didn't really think I was running away from you, did you?" he mocked as a malicious grin appeared on his face.
