After just a re five minutes, Kara had reached the conclusion that she would go to the location as Kara Kent, since she was contacted on her actual phone number.
Whoever it was who contacted her likely knew who she was. And if they didn't, then going as Supergirl would only prove to be a negative. Settling on this logic, she quickly dressed up in a hoodie and wore a facemask to cover her mouth, making it harder to discern her identity in case anyone else saw her.
Then she flew out of her window and headed toward the designated area.
The location indicated on her phone was an amusent park—one that had not only shut down but, given the current situation in tropolis, was completely deserted.
Kara landed near the amusent park, then walked the rest of the way so that whoever she was eting wouldn't see her fly. Upon getting closer, she used her x-ray vision and saw a figure standing near a large Ferris wheel, close to an old food stall that had long ceased operation.
Strengthening her resolve, Kara confidently walked over to the stall, occasionally glancing around to ensure there was no danger.
Upon reaching the stall, she found a woman seated at one of the three wooden tables surrounding the abandoned stall, all of which were covered in fungi accumulated over ti. The woman, however, didn't seem to mind this at all. Seeing this mysterious figure, Kara couldn't help but be cautious. But before she could question if the woman had sent the ssage, Raven raised her head, revealing her face without a care, though she didn't speak.
Instead, Arias's voice answered from behind. "If you're wondering who sent the ssage, it was ."
Hearing this familiar voice, Kara turned her head, only to see Arias casually standing behind her. She hadn't heard his steps, nor sensed his presence, and hadn't even detected him with her x-ray vision earlier.
This set off nurous alarms in her mind, and she instinctively backed away from him, also casting a cautious glance at Raven.
"Is this supposed to be so sort of trap?" she asked as her eyes began to glow faintly red, a clear warning that she wasn't going down without a fight. Arias, however, chuckled and shook his head, stating, "No, I wouldn't need a trap if I wanted to capture you."
This casual statent struck Kara the wrong way. After the help she provided during the tropolis incident, her confidence was perhaps at an all-ti high. She didn't feel threatened even by Arias, though she knew better than to underestimate him, especially considering how often he caught her off guard.
Ignoring his remark, she asked, "What do you want?"
Arias tilted his head. "I want nothing. What you should really be asking is what I offer."
Kara's caution lessened as she switched to a curious and confused expression. "Offer? What offer?"
Arias continued without directly answering. "An offer to help you beco the hero you so desperately crave to be."
Kara frowned and scoffed at this. "And what? You're supposed to make that hero? You're nothing but a murderer, no better than these criminals. Anyone who believes you is a fool."
Arias wasn't moved by her words and maintained his smile as he replied, "Funny. Though, interesting."
Kara found it unsettling that Arias wasn't the least bit fazed by her accusation, as she had aid to provoke him. He continued, "What you do is completely up to you. As I said, I only ca to extend an offer in the form of information. But if you're not interested, I can leave right now."
Although she distrusted him, Kara wasn't foolish enough to dismiss his claims outright.
More than that, her curiosity was piqued. So, she asked, "Just say what you want to say and stop speaking in cryptic ways."
Arias chuckled again and revealed, "Soon—I'm not sure when—Markovia will beco a war zone. It's no secret that several governnts are targeting the superhumans there. But as past wars have shown, the military doesn't really care about civilians when it cos to achieving an agenda. So my offer was for you to go to Markovia and help the innocent people."
Hearing this, Kara narrowed her eyes, frowned, and opposed, "Right. I'm sure this has nothing to do with the fact that your daughter is soon to be queen, and you just want so extra muscle there. I have no reason to trust a liar like you. On the news, you were gravely injured, but you look just fine to ."
Arias didn't dismiss her words, nor did he accept them. "Believe , I wouldn't co to soone like you to extend this offer. And, if I'm being honest, my focus isn't to save the people but to completely destroy those who aim to harm them. Since you and your Justice League clearly aren't able to do that. As I said, this is rely an offer, and you're free to reject it. After all, I hear the Justice League is deploying the Junior League to Markovia to deal with the attacks on superhumans we're currently facing."
Kara now doubted herself, but she still couldn't bring herself to trust Arias. "Why should I believe you?" she asked.
This ti, Arias simply smiled and replied,
"Simple, you don't."
