God-Level Game Developer System: I Brought In-Game Items To Real World Chapter 86: Horror And Mystery Game Genre
After deciding to create the second ga, Weiss summoned the system nu and tapped on the Workplace feature.
[Workplace]
[Current Ga Project: None]
[Remaining Ga Slots: 1]
[Ga Developing Tool]
After pressing the Workplace feature, Weiss noticed that the Current Ga Project showed none instead of showing his first ga Zombie Survival Online.
Usually, when he used the Workplace feature, it would show up. But after Zombie Survival Online was completed by the players, it was no longer included as his current ga project.
Of course, he could still access it by using the Ga Workshop. Both the servers of Zombie Survival Online and Player Hunter Application were in the Ga Workshop.
After checking that he had one available ga slot, Weiss tapped on the Ga Developing Tool button.
[Select the Ga Type/s: {Single-Purpose}]
A system screen popped up in front of Weiss and after reading it, he discovered that there weren’t any options other than {Single-Purpose} so he pressed it.
[Select the Ga Genre/s: {Horror}, {Puzzle}, {Mystery}]
Having three options for the Ga Genre, Weiss decided to choose both {Horror} and {Mystery}.
As a 2-star Developer, Weiss could now choose two ga genres at once rather than having to choose only one ga genre.
Although the puzzle and mystery genre could be used to create a ga, Weiss preferred the combination of horror and mystery.
"If I play my cards right, I can include ga items that can improve the soul and mind. Zombie Survival Online’s power level mostly focused on evolution and the body so I should focus on soul and mind next."
"Furthermore, there might be terrifying existences from other worlds who could pollute the mind and soul. They would easily defeat the inhabitants of Blue Star if I don’t let the players develop tolerance or immunity towards it."
While Weiss was pondering over the benefits of creating a horror and mystery ga, Alice interjected, "Just admit it. You want to let those players cry and have nightmares after playing your horror and mystery ga, especially Aya."
"You knew that Aya wasn’t that great when it cos to horror gas. Especially those gas that have a lot of jumpscares and have a dark setting."
Hearing Alice reveal his true intention, Weiss just sighed and joked, "It’s all for the greater good."
"Whether Aya wants to or not, she has to play it and toughen up. There might be powerful existences with indescribable existence where their presence alone can make a person fall into insanity."
"To combat such entities, the players need to encounter those in my ga and let them develop tolerance and immunity towards them. At least, in my ga, the players don’t have to worry about falling into insanity or having their soul and mind break."
"And as much as I want to make the power level of it very high, the players are too weak to withstand it. Furthermore, players cannot bring the power from Zombie Survival Online to this ga so they can’t use it to deal with the horrifying entities in my horror ga."
By weak, Weiss ant in the sense that the players in Blue Star have a weak mind.
After all, they were living comfortably in a modern world. If they encountered those indescribable and horrifying existences, they might be scared to death.
So rather than creating an impossible-to-complete horror ga, Weiss planned to create a horror ga with a higher upper limit than Zombie Survival Online but not too high that those players couldn’t complete it.
After all, if a ga couldn’t be completed by a player, then Weiss couldn’t get any ga slots and in turn, he couldn’t develop more gas.
As a ga developer, he needed to balance the difficulty of the ga well. It must not be too easy to complete but also must not be difficult enough that it would be challenging.
With that plan in mind, Weiss continued using the Ga Developing Tool.
-Ding!
[The Ga Type and Ga Genre chosen is: Single-Purpose Horror And Mystery!]
[To further create the Ga World and the Ga Rules, your mind will be sent to the Ga Workshop.]
[Do you want to enter the Ga Workshop?]
Hearing that question from the system, Weiss answered, "Yes."
Afterward, Weiss felt as if his mind was blanking out as he lost consciousness.
…
Opening his eyes, Weiss found himself in a realm filled with nothing but darkness.
However, he was already familiar with the Ga Workshop so his actions were fast.
In a blink of an eye, an entire universe appeared and Weiss was currently in a world similar to Blue Star.
He only used the world of Blue Star as a template for the world but he still planned to modify it.
"Having five continents like Blue Star is unnecessary. Let’s rge and shrink it a bit."
Using his words and thoughts, Weiss controlled the five continents in the world.
He left one continent at the side and controlled the other four continents. The four continents were attracted to each other and soon rged.
Afterward, it shrank until its size was half of a continent. By half of a continent, it was only half of one continent and not four.
Afterward, Weiss removed the modern buildings, facilities, etc., on that continent and made it barren.
Arriving at the barren continent that has nothing but land, Weiss soon added a sea of trees.
"This continent will be called Vacation Paradise Island which is advertised as the best island to go on a vacation. But in reality, it’s filled with horrifying existences such as vengeful ghosts, man-eating demons, and tentacle monsters that could pollute the human mind and soul."
"This is the starting point of the players."
"As for the other continent…"
Gazing at the other continent, Weiss modified it and made it not similar to the buildings in Blue Star. Nonetheless, it was still filled with modern buildings and such.
"That continent will be the end goal of the players. As long as the players can leave Vacation Paradise Island and arrive at that continent, they can complete the first main objective."
