God-Level Game Developer System: I Brought In-Game Items To Real World Chapter 65: Meeting Robert’s Right-Hand Man
Aya, Winston, and Bianca were currently sitting on their chairs on the road as they recovered their depleted viral energy.
The chairs they sat on were the ones that Aya had stored in her storage dinsion. She had taken them out and placed them on the road since they didn’t want to sit directly on the dirty asphalt road.
There weren’t any zombies or mutant plants and animals near the skyscraper due to so unknown reasons. However, it was a big advantage for Aya, Winston, and Bianca since they could recover their energy in peace and they only had to be wary of the NPCs inside the skyscraper.
An hour had passed since the three of them were resting at the road and they had already recovered their viral energy.
Aya, Winston, and Bianca weren’t worried that the NPCs inside the skyscraper would escape with the secrets of the zombie virus since they hadn’t completely let down their guard.
Aya was sensing the space within and around the skyscraper so she could easily detect if any of the NPCs inside would escape. Even if they used teleportation or speed superpower, Aya could easily negate the usage of teleportation and she could also lock the space and prevent the movent of those with speed superpower.
After sensing the situation inside the skyscraper, Aya inford Bianca and Winston, "None of them has left the skyscraper yet. We have already recovered our viral energy so we can go inside now."
Receiving Aya’s information, Bianca and Winston nodded their heads and left their chairs. The sa went for Aya as she stored the chairs back in her storage dinsion.
Afterward, the three of them headed toward the skyscraper’s entrance.
Aya already knew the layout of the skyscraper’s interior due to using her space manipulation to sense the space within the skyscraper. Although what she could detect was just black and white, it was enough to have a ntal map of the skyscraper.
When Aya, Winston, and Bianca arrived at the skyscraper’s entrance, the entrance of the skyscraper opened so the three of them entered it.
Upon arriving inside the skyscraper, the three of them were t with humans wearing military armor, pointing their guns toward them.
In response, Winston pointed his two pistols towards them as well with no fear in his eyes.
In their formation, Aya was at the center while Winston and Bianca were at her left side and right side respectively.
On the other hand, the n wearing military armor had ford a barricade with all of them guarding the elevator behind them. Both the stairs and elevator were blocked by them and their hostility towards Aya, Winston, and Bianca was unconcealed.
A solemn atmosphere pervaded the first floor of the skyscraper as Winston and the n wearing military body armor were pointing guns at each other.
"Fire!"
The leader of the soldiers commanded and all of the soldiers fired their guns towards Aya, Winston, and Bianca. Volleys of bullets were shot towards the three of them but they remained calm.
Before the bullets could reach a ter near them, an invisible barrier blocked them and prevented them from further moving. Aya used her space manipulation to create a space barrier in advance so they weren’t affected by the gunshots.
The bullets lost their montum so all of the bullets fell on the ground. As soon as they all fell, Winston pulled the trigger of his two pistols and it was his turn to shoot and kill them.
Countless fire and ice elental bullets shot through those soldiers, burning or freezing them to death. None had lived and since all of them had died, Aya, Bianca, and Winston were unimpeded.
However, instead of entering the underground laboratory via the elevator, Aya created a hole through the first floor using her violet orbs which destroyed anything in its path.
Aya, Winston, and Bianca jumped towards the hole which allowed them to enter the underground laboratory.
As they expected, when they arrived at the underground laboratory, the elevator door was already blocked by soldiers wearing military body armor. So if they had entered via the elevator, they would have been t with gunshots at point-blank range.
Aya, Winston, and Bianca’s sudden intrusion from the first floor to the underground laboratory had caught the scientists and soldiers off-guard.
Surprisingly, there weren’t any Awakeners inside the underground laboratory except for one person who acted as Robert’s most trusted right-hand man. The rest of the soldiers and scientists were just normal people and weren’t Awakeners.
However, when the three of them arrived inside the underground laboratory, Robert’s right-hand man signaled the soldiers to not attack them.
"If you don’t kill us and you spare our lives, I can give you the secrets of the zombie virus. Otherwise, I’ll make sure that even if I die here, the secrets of the zombie virus will be destroyed."
Robert’s right-hand man proposed a deal with an unveiled threat.
Although he was loyal to Robert, Robert was already dead so he was no longer loyal. He cared more about his life than his loyalty to a dead man.
Hearing the deal proposed by Robert’s right-hand man, both Aya and Bianca looked at Winston, waiting for his confirmation.
Although Winston wasn’t the leader of their trio, Winston’s Eye of Insight could see through the lies of others so Aya and Bianca let Winston decide on whether Robert’s right-hand man could be trusted or not.
In response, Winston nodded his head towards Aya and Bianca.
Receiving Winston’s confirmation, Aya agreed to the deal proposed by Robert’s right-hand man. "We agree. As long as you don’t do any funny business and truthfully reveal the secrets of the zombie virus, then we won’t kill any of you here."
"We have already killed Robert so aside from him, you are the only Awakener here. Your superpower is just re teleportation so if you ever go back on your word, we won’t hesitate to kill all of you here."
