Bianca and Winston were doing their best to prevent the thick tree roots from disturbing Aya. After all, if Aya ever failed in her evolution, the viral energy in her body would run rampant and cause her humanity to reach below 50%. If that ever happened, becoming a zombie would be an inevitable result.

Bianca and Winston knew that if Aya died, then the two of them would be next since the two of them weren’t that good in combat. Any of the two of them could die but Aya couldn’t as she was their hope of completing the ga.

With that in mind, the two of them went all out!

Winston channeled the viral energy in his body toward his two pistols and pressed the trigger, "Fire And Ice Phoenix Barrage!"

The fire and ice bullets transford into fire phoenixes and ice phoenixes respectively as soon as they ca out of the two pistol’s muzzle. Afterward, they all headed towards the thick tree roots!

As soon as the fire phoenixes and ice phoenixes ca into contact with the thick tree roots, those tree roots were either burnt into ashes or frozen and shattered into bits of pieces.

On the other hand, Bianca extended her arms and expanded her viral energy outwards with her as the center, "Restoration Domain!"

An invisible energy sphere with Bianca as the center spread outwards and enveloped the entire hotel room.

Inside the viral energy sphere, Bianca’s restoration domain repaired the walls and floors as soon as they were broken. Furthermore, any thick tree roots that Winston’s fire and ice phoenixes had missed were taken care of by Bianca’s restoration domain.

Those thick tree roots would be restored to their previous position before they could ever reach and harm Aya.

With the cooperation of both Winston and Bianca who were currently at B-rank, the thick tree roots no longer posed a threat to Aya.

As if that wasn’t enough, Bianca used her restoration domain at full power, preventing the thick three roots from even entering the hotel room.

The restoration domain’s restoration power was applied to the walls and floors of the hotel room to the point that whenever the thick tree roots attempted to penetrate the walls and floors, the walls and floors would repair and beco nigh-indestructible.

"Thanks, Bianca."

Winston heaved a sigh of relief as the thick tree roots no longer entered the hotel room so he didn’t have to do anything anymore. The fire and ice phoenix bullets were powerful but they consud a lot of Winston’s viral energy.

Bianca didn’t respond as her attention was focused on maintaining the restoration domain at full power. To prevent any wastage of viral energy, Bianca would allocate more of the viral energy towards the floors and walls where the thick tree roots attacked while those parts which weren’t attacked had less coverage from the restoration domain.

Because of that, Bianca could save more viral energy but at the expense of having to fully concentrate on allocating the right amounts of viral energy to the thick tree root’s targeted location.

A few minutes passed and Aya opened her eyes. She has successfully evolved and beco an A-rank Awakener!

But as soon as Aya opened her eyes, a huge tree trunk pierced through the hotel room’s floor.

Bianca and Winston were too slow to react so they couldn’t dodge it which prompted Aya to use teleportation.

Using group teleportation, Aya, Winston, and Bianca arrived outside the hotel on the streets.

Outside, they could take a better look at the origin of the thick tree roots that attacked them.

The hotel they previously stayed at was penetrated by a huge tree at the center of it. The tree trunk beca wider until the hotel was destroyed.

From Aya’s estimation, the tall tree was around fifty ters tall and twenty ters wide. What was more disturbing was that there was an ugly face carved on the center of the tree’s trunk and its eyes seed to look at them.

Whether the face was carved on its trunk or not, Aya noticed that the eyes of the tree’s face gazed at them before its mouth opened, "You humans dared to enter my territory and awaken from my slumber!? Die and beco my nourishnt!"

The loud and angry voice of the tall mutant tree resounded in the streets as it used its viral energy to convey its words to them. After all, mutant plants lacked vocal chords so they would mostly use viral energy to form either sound waves or telepathic ssages to convey their thoughts.

Only sentient and powerful mutant plants were capable of doing that and undoubtedly, the tall mutant tree was at A-rank.

The tall mutant tree manipulated its roots as they all extended across the streets and headed toward Aya, Bianca, and Winston!

Knowing that the ground was dangerous, Aya used her space manipulation to change the gravity and let the three of them fly upwards, away from the thick tree roots.

However, the mutant tall tree already expected their actions so it manipulated its roots to pursue them in the air!

Like tentacles, the thick tree roots pursued them and its sharp tip attempted to penetrate them!

"Leave it to !"

Winston quickly aid at the pursuing thick tree roots and shot at the thick tree roots. His fire and ice bullets accurately shot them, decreasing their length.

Witnessing Winston counter its tree roots, the tall mutant tree waved its crown, causing its leaves to rustle and shoot toward the three of them!

Thousands of sharp leaves headed toward Aya, Winston, and Bianca.

Winston was occupied with dealing with the thick tree roots while Bianca was taking a break to restore her viral energy.

So, Aya multi-tasked to not only maintain a solid space platform above the sky where they all stood, but she also created a large and wide space portal in front of them.

The thousands of sharp leaves entered the space portal and they exited from the other side of the portal, located behind the tall mutant tree!

The tall mutant tree wasn’t immune to its own attack as the sharp leaves penetrated its trunk, harming it!

"Damn humans!"
