Hearing Kayden’s words, none of them disagreed with him.

With Kayden’s shoe and luck, they didn’t doubt that they could uncover the secrets of Windesburg Hotel. For them, it was not a matter of effort and luck but just a matter of ti before they could complete it.

After they left the abandoned hotel room, Kayden threw his shoe again and it pointed to the north side of the hallway, with their current location as the center.

Unlike a compass, Kayden’s shoe isn’t based on magnetism or any center point. It’s dependent on where the user is standing.

So even if the pointed location was west or east based on a regular compass, the shoe wouldn’t care and just point to where they would need to head next.

So from where they were currently at, they would need to head to the north side of the hallway.

"Anyways, just trust my luck and shoe. We will eventually reach the next forbidden area as long as we follow where my shoe is pointing."

Listening to Kayden’s words, Aya and the rest of the team nodded their heads while Weiss didn’t care much and just acted as a spectator. Unless it was necessary, he wouldn’t interfere with Aya and her team’s decisions and actions.

For the next several minutes, Kayden kept on flipping his shoes upwards repeatedly while heading to where it pointed next.

Eventually, they soon arrived at a large, imposing door made of dark, aged wood.

Intricately carved with hauntingly beautiful patterns of swirling vines and spectral faces, the door exuded an eerie aura. Its iron handles, cold and twisted into grotesque shapes, seed to guard the secrets within.

Aya and her team approached the door cautiously. Kayden, with a mix of excitent and nervousness, pushed it open. Kayden trusted that his luck would overco the anomalies within Windesburg Hotel so he didn’t hesitate to enter it.

The hinges creaked loudly, echoing through the silent corridor. As the door swung wide, a gust of cold air greeted them, sending shivers down their spines.

Stepping inside, they were t with a dimly lit gallery that stretched far into the shadows.

The Gallery Hall of Whispers was a grand, cavernous space filled with portraits of past hotel guests and staff.

The air was thick with an eerie silence, broken only by faint whispers that seed to emanate from the walls themselves, creating a chilling atmosphere.

The floor was made of polished black marble, reflecting the ghostly light from sconces that lined the walls. These sconces held flickering blue flas, casting an unsettling glow across the room.

The portraits on the walls, each painstakingly detailed, showed faces frozen in ti, their eyes appearing to follow the team as they moved.

JordanPlayz cursed, "The fuck? Did those eyes in the portrait just move?! Shirohige, fucking prepare to exorcise these ghosts!"

Shirohige remained unfazed by the horrors inside the Gallery Hall of Whispers as he nodded his head, "Okay bro, leave it to ."

While she and her team were wary of those portraits, Aya led the way, her eyes scanning the room for any signs of danger.

As they ventured further in, the whispers grew louder, forming indistinct, chilling words that made the hairs on the back of their necks stand up.

Each step echoed ominously in the vast space, amplifying the tension they felt.

The whispers were the trapped souls of those sacrificed by Maverick Windesburg in his pursuit of eternal life. Each portrait contained a fragnt of their mories, revealing the dark rituals perford within the hotel.

The air was thick with the scent of old parchnt and a hint of sothing more sinister, like decaying flowers.

In the center of the gallery stood a large, ornate pedestal, upon which rested a massive, leather-bound book. Its cover was emblazoned with a symbol that none of them recognized, but it radiated a sense of foreboding power.

Aya gestured for her team to spread out and search the area while she carefully examined the book.

Seeing Aya’s gesture to split up, Kayden shook his head "Nah, leave this to Kuroneko and I. Kuroneko knows black magic and dark magic while I can act as his lucky charm since the allies near can also be affected by my good luck."

In response to Kayden’s words, Bianca suggested, "Rather than spreading out and splitting up in our search, let’s just stick together. Anyways, in most horror movies, the protagonist’s team loses mbers due to splitting up."

Aya agreed, "Fine, you do it. I’m not good with horror anyway and it spooks the hell out of . I just wished Aspro’s next ga is a sequel of Zombie Survival Online or any new gas that aren’t horror-related."

As they approached the pedestal, the whispers intensified, swirling around them in a pandemonium of ghostly voices.

Kayden cautiously opened the book, hoping to find clues about Maverick Windesburg’s dark secrets.

The atmosphere was heavy with anticipation and dread as if the gallery itself was watching and waiting for their next move.

With every passing mont, the Gallery Hall of Whispers seed to close in around them, its dark secrets eager to be unveiled.

The team knew they were on the verge of uncovering sothing significant, sothing that could shed light on the sinister history of Windesburg Hotel and its enigmatic founder.

Or even if it didn’t, they still hoped that they could find clues to his whereabouts or secrets.

As Kayden opened the book, the Spectral Custodian erged, angrily gesturing as books and debris flew toward the team.

The Spectral Custodian was an ethereal figure, floating silently through the Gallery Hall of Whispers. Its translucent form was shrouded in tattered, ancient robes that fluttered as if caught in an invisible breeze.

Hollow, glowing eyes peered out from a gaunt, skeletal face, emanating a cold, otherworldly light. Long, bony fingers extended from its spectral hands, occasionally trailing ghostly chains that clinked softly in the eerie silence.

The spectral custodian’s presence exuded an aura of ancient authority and unyielding vigilance, forever bound to protect the dark secrets contained within the hall’s ancient tos and portraits.

Seeing the books flying towards them like bullets, Weiss extended his hand and activated his Barrier Authority, creating an invisible barrier that blocked the books. "I’ll leave the rest to you all."
