God-Level Game Developer System: I Brought In-Game Items To Real World Chapter 137: Disappearance After The Night Has Passed
"Illya, wake up."
Kayden woke Illya since it was already morning.
With his dangerous the Windesburg Hotel was, Kayden knew that he needed Illya to accompany him.
Even if the cooldown of his forced gambling ability had ended and he could use it again, Kayden knew that it still wasn’t enough to defend himself against the monsters in Vacation Paradise Island.
He felt a lot safer if Illya was with him. After all, when it ca to combat, Illya was better than him.
Only if Illya encountered a monster or evil spirit with unusual rule-type abilities, Kayden would intervene. When it ca to those rule-type monsters and evil spirits, Kayden’s Gambling Authority was their weakness.
Soon enough, Illya woke up and after seeing that Kayden was still alive, Illya sighed in relief.
"Big brother, I’m already awake."
Illya rubbed her eyes sleepily as she sat on the bed.
Although Illya wanted to sleep more, she was still aware of the dangers of this island so listened to Kayden.
After Illya woke up, Kayden waited for Illya to be completely awake before he left his hotel room with Illya following him.
…
After Kayden left his hotel room with Illya, Kayden headed to the hotel rooms of his teammates.
After arriving at the doorstep of Aya’s hotel room, Kayden knocked on the door and asked, "Aya, are you awake?"
Kayden waited patiently for Aya to respond.
He knew that Aya might be a heavy sleeper, but that’s only when it was in the real world. Aya had told him and his other teammates that in the ga world, she was a light sleeper since she was very vigilant even when she was asleep.
There was a very low possibility of assassinating Aya at night due to her being alert even when she was asleep. Such instincts were likely developed due to her having great mastery of her martial arts.
The sa went for Kenshi who also had keen senses and would wake up if he ever sensed danger.
The ones who had the least chance of being assassinated in their sleep were Kenshi and Aya. Because of that, Kayden wasn’t worried about their safety and decided to wake up Aya and the rest of his teammates.
’If even I’m alive, then the rest of them should be alive as well. If those Windesburg Hotel staff had assassinated us, then I might still be alive due to Illya’s protection, but I’d still be aware of their assassination.’
’Illya didn’t inform about any assassination but that doesn’t an the assassination didn’t occur. The Windesburg Hotel staff might have not dared enter my room since Illya was protecting but the sa couldn’t be said for the rest of my teammates.’
’Even so, it’s unlikely for Aya and Kenshi to die due to an assassination so it’s better if I wake the two of them up first before the others. At least, if the two of them ever died, then I’d know the rest of my teammates are more likely dead as well.’
With that intention in mind, Kayden planned to wake up Aya and then Kenshi.
But much to his surprise, even after he knocked on Aya’s door multiple tis, Kayden never heard Aya’s response.
"This is odd. Aya is a light sleeper in the ga world and she told us about this before. Just the sound of a footstep alone can wake her up let alone the loud knocking I did."
Kayden was getting worried that sothing bad happened to Aya.
However, he didn’t jump to conclusions yet.
Kayden decided to check up on Kenshi first.
With that plan in mind, Kayden gestured to Illya to follow him as he imdiately headed to the doorstep of Kenshi’s room.
After arriving at the doorstep of Kenshi’s hotel room, Kayden knocked on the door loudly. Rather than knocking it, it’s more like he was banging the door like it was a drum.
"Kenshi, you in there?"
Kayden asked Kenshi while raising his voice. He kept on knocking on the door but even with the loud racket he caused, Kayden didn’t hear any response from Kenshi.
"Sothing must have happened to them. Let check on the others."
Kayden knew that sothing was wrong but he didn’t want to jump to conclusions yet.
He went to the doorsteps of the hotel rooms of his other teammates. Whether it was Bianca’s hotel room or the hotel room of Winston and the Dislord admins, Kayden knocked and asked them if they were awake.
However, he discovered that none of his teammates responded.
Kayden concluded, "It’s too unusual that all of my teammates and not even one of them responded to my call. Undoubtedly, sothing must have happened to them and I’ll soon get to the bottom of this."
Kayden’s eyes beca firm as he looked at the door in front of him which led to Aya’s hotel room.
With no hesitation, Kayden commanded solemnly, "Illya, break this door, and let’s barge inside there to investigate."
Illya had kept on following Kayden before but she had remained silent. Even so, she knew that sothing had happened to Kayden’s teammates.
Because of that, Illya listened to Kayden’s command without any questions asked.
Forwarding her hand, Illya placed her hand on the wooden door of Aya’s hotel room. Soon enough, webs of flesh were generated from Illya’s palm and it engulfed the wooden door.
Afterward, Illya devoured the wooden door and retracted her flesh back to her body.
When the wooden door was devoured by Illya, the interior of Aya’s room was revealed.
Kayden and Illya barged inside Aya’s room but when they entered, they saw that Aya was nowhere to be found.
When they further surveyed the interior of Aya’s room, they discovered that even a strand of Aya’s hair couldn’t be found in her room!
"Damn it! What happened to Aya?!"
Although Kayden was infuriated, he soon cald down and regained his composure as he thought of what happened, "It might not only be Aya but the rest of my teammates as well. So if they had disappeared, then why am I still alive?"
