God-Level Game Developer System: I Brought In-Game Items To Real World Chapter 115: Balloon Authority
"Failure, again."
Faced with many failures, Aya, Winston, and Kayden weren’t surprised. They were already used to it.
When Bianca had pulled the string, her head had disappeared and was transferred inside the dark green balloon she was holding on her right hand.
Kayden sighed, "We used to have a total of ten mbers in our team. Now we are back to the original trio of , you, and Winston."
Hearing Kayden’s sigh, Aya sighed as well, "Well, I am used to the three of us solving the problem anyway. Now I’m starting to think whether Lily had rigged it or not."
Aya added and asked, "Kayden, do you want to resort to using your Gambling Authority?"
Before Kayden could respond, Winston interjected, "Not so fast! We still have a chance!"
"Rember, I calculated the characters including the spaces. This ti, I’ll count the characters of the black book excluding the spaces and punctuations, only the letters."
"If this doesn’t work, then we can let Kayden do his thing."
Hearing Winston’s suggestion, Kayden asked, "Then who will be the sacrificial lamb?"
Winston answered without any hesitation, "Since I’m the one who suggested it, then I’ll be the sacrificial lamb. Furthermore, both you and Aya have an authority so the two of you are the only ones who could deal with Lily."
"My Eye of Insight is only an auxiliary skill so I can’t use it against Lily. And I can’t even use it against NPCs due to the ga chanism’s restrictions."
After Winston complained, he no longer hesitated and walked towards one of the dark green balloons.
"Just in case, I had already counted the characters of the black book when the punctuations and spaces were excluded. If this still doesn’t work, then you and Aya can defeat Lily. If that still doesn’t work, then let’s just try again."
Aya and Kayden nodded at Winston as they looked at him as if he was a soldier who would sacrifice his life for the war.
Seeing their looks, Winston complained, "Hey! Stop saluting and looking at as if I’m about to be sacrificed! I still have so confidence that I will succeed!"
Despite Winston’s complaints, Aya and Kayden continued saluting him so Winston could only sigh and be done with it.
Arriving in front of a dark green balloon, Winston checked the book in his hand and confird that it was the right shade of dark green.
Without any hesitation, Winston extended his hand towards the dark green balloon and pulled its string!
When Winston pulled the balloon’s string and held it to his right, he was surprised to see that he was fine!
In other words, Winston had succeeded in finding the correct balloon!
"Lily, here’s Hex."
Winston walked towards Lily and handed the balloon to her.
In response, Lily’s eyes lit up with excitent as she exclaid, "Yes! YES! That’s Hex!"
"Thank you big brother for finding him!"
Lily received Hex from Winston and when she did so, the balloon curse was lifted!
Whether it was GoldMiner who sat on the wooden chair or Bianca who lost her head, their heads returned to their neck as if nothing happened!
"Did Bianca get it right?"
ProGarXD asked them but Bianca imdiately corrected him, "No, I lost my head as well. So did Kayden use his Gambling Authority and intervene?"
In response, Kayden shook his head, "No, it was Winston who got it right. It turned out that the punctuations and spaces aren’t included in counting the letters of the black book."
Receiving Kayden’s correction, they, the sacrificial lambs, looked at Winston and complained.
"Fuck! It’s almost impossible to complete! Not only does soone need to have an eye as sharp as Winston’s, they also need to be smart enough to decode the hex color code of Lily’s Hex!"
"What was in the Ga Dev’s mind when he created this challenge?"
In response to their complaints, Kayden shrugged, "Don’t look at . Lily’s challenge might be tough, but mine is tougher. After all, mine was luck-based. What are the chances of getting a natural in blackjack or getting a royal flush in Texas hold’em poker?"
"Compared to that, the chef’s challenge was a lot easier to complete. Although it wasn’t that easy, it was at least easier compared to Lily and the masked dealer’s challenge."
Aya didn’t retort Kayden’s words since she admitted that the challenge she took was a lot easier compared to them. At least, the masked dealer’s challenge was luck-based, while Lily’s challenge was based on intelligence as well as excellent eyesight.
While their team started celebrating their heads being returned to their neck, Lily pouted, "You all forgot about Lily! Do you not want the Balloon Authority?"
As Lily expected, her words had indeed caught the attention of Aya, Kayden, and the rest of the team.
Opening her palm, a dark green ball of light appeared on top of it.
Lily explained, "The Balloon Authority is what I had shown to you all before. You have experienced participating in it. So to explain it briefly, you can choose a balloon color and label it as Hex."
"Letting the player touch the black book is not necessary to trigger the balloon curse. You can force one person to be cursed with the balloon curse. If their team can’t find Hex and break the balloon curse, then you can obtain their head!"
"By obtaining their head, you can obtain their mories, knowledge, and will! In other words, you obtain ownership of their head, which you can then use to reattach it to their headless body and make it your puppet!"
"However, you can only force one person to be cursed with the balloon curse once per day. You can use the black book as a prop since it cos with the Balloon Authority and you can modify it to your liking. If they touch the black book, they will be infected with the balloon curse regardless of your daily curse usage."
"Although, there is one restriction for the Balloon Curse and that is…"
