"Ah!"
The sky echoed with the final roar of the ghost beastman.
The sound abruptly ceased in that instant.
A stream of water-blue light continued its unstoppable trajectory, crashing into the mountain.
"Boom!"
A thunderous explosion resounded.
The water-blue magic arrow pierced straight through the mountain.
It soared into the sky, dispersing a patch of clouds before gradually fading away.
"My god, it's so powerful!"
Li ng stared in awe at the hundred-ter-wide hole in the distant mountain.
He hadn't expected his self-created magic to be this strong.
"Hehe, it's truly beautiful!"
After the shock, Li ng was captivated by the distant scenery.
A rainbow appeared over the mountain with the massive hole blasted through it.
The rainbow was enormous, spanning two mountains.
"Xiao Bai, how powerful was that strike?"
"Very strong, comparable to an imperial-level magic strike."
"Xiao Bai, you sure know a lot!"
"Master, although the creatures I parasitize don't live long, they all lead colorful lives. In their respective groups, they are outstanding, and the knowledge they acquire ultimately becos mine."
"Xiao Bai, do you know dwarf runes?"
"Master, dwarf runes were created by one of my dwarf hosts."
Hearing this, Li ng's eyes lit up.
In that case, Xiao Bai is practically a treasure trove of knowledge.
"What about crystal runes?"
"Crystal runes were created by my human host."
"Was it you or your host?"
"Master, generally speaking, I don't choose to rge ntally with my hosts."
"Why not?"
"Because ntal fusion consus too much life force, which accelerates the host's death."
That's fantastic!
What Li ng wanted most was rune magic.
Runes are like technology on Earth.
Once you have rune technology, many things can be created.
By then, even the weak goblins could unleash imnse combat power.
"Oh no!"
Inside his helt, Li ng's expression froze.
Then he sprinted towards the direction where the ghost beastman had been annihilated.
The ghost beastman was obliterated, not even leaving a trace.
What could serve as evidence?
"Could this... serve as evidence?"
After searching for a while, Li ng finally found a fragnt of the ghost beastman's large sword.
Looking down at the small weapon fragnt in his hand, Li ng muttered.
"Aima, you better not go back on your word, or I'll have to use force!"
Holding the weapon fragnt, Li ng headed back the way he ca.
"Woof woof!"
At this mont, Woof Woof finally caught up.
"Woof Woof, you're too slow!"
"Woof Woof isn't slow, it's the boss who's too fast!"
"Hehe, I suppose you're right."
"Let's go, we're heading back!"
"Boss, boss, I want to go over there."
Li ng turned to glance at the depths of the Ogre Mountains.
"Why do you want to go there?"
"I want to be the boss of many Skuggs like you, boss. I'm really strong now."
Li ng grinned, patting Woof Woof's round body.
"Go ahead, Woof Woof, just don't die!"
"I won't, boss. Woof Woof runs really fast!"
"Boss, I'm going now!"
"Go on, the sooner you leave, the sooner you'll be back!"
"Woof woof!"
Woof Woof barked a few tis at Li ng.
Then he sprinted towards the depths of the Ogre Mountains.
Li ng watched as Woof Woof's red figure quickly disappeared into the canyon.
After a while, he turned and continued walking back the way he ca.
"Xiao Bai, keep an eye on Woof Woof, don't let him die."
"Yes, Master!"
"Boom!"
Walking in the canyon, Li ng suddenly leaped into the air.
His massive body shot up, turning into a small black dot that vanished into the sky.
Half an hour later, in the Goblin Forest.
The forest was still bustling, and the noise gradually spread into the distance.
"Great King?"
As she walked, Aima saw the Great King's massive steel body in the forest ahead.
Aima calmly approached.
"Aima, I turned that guy to dust, and this is all that's left!"
Aima looked speechlessly at the small fragnt in the Great King's hand.
This evidence was too flimsy.
What kind of attack could turn soone to ashes?
Leaving only a small fragnt of their weapon.
"Great King, you wouldn't just pick up a random weapon fragnt to deceive , would you?"
"I'm a king, kings don't lie!"
"Really?"
Aima stared skeptically into the eyes within the Great King's helt.
"Of course it's true, I never lie!"
"Great King, Aima accepts her loss!"
Aima took the weapon fragnt from the Great King's hand.
Since agreeing to the wager, so things had already been destined.
Aima had long been ntally prepared to beco the queen.
Even if the weapon fragnt was fake, she wouldn't expose it.
Compared to evidence, the Great King's will was more important.
And whether she was willing or not didn't matter.
Even if she refused, the queen would probably force her onto the Great King's bed.
"Hehe, Aima, don't die!"
"Great King, I will live well."
"I will protect you."
"No need, though I'm a woman, we centaurs are not afraid of death."
"I believe nothing is more important than being alive."
"Great King, you're right, but often one cannot live just for oneself."
"Is it because of having people you care about that you're unafraid of life and death?"
"Yes, Great King, my partner, my children, they are my family. For them, I can do anything."
"Then if you die, they will be sad too."
"Yes... yes!"
"Then living is the most important thing."
"Uh... yes, Great King, you're right."
"Then I'll protect you!"
"Okay, thank you, Great King!"
"No need to thank , you're my queen, I don't want you to die."
In the bustling marching ranks, their conversation gradually faded away.
Ti passed bit by bit, day after day.
Three days later, in the Ogre Mountains.
That night, darkness enveloped the Ogre Mountains.
Brilliant moonlight spilled over the land, slightly dispelling the darkness.
In a massive canyon, lights were ablaze.
Tents of various sizes dotted the canyon.
Clusters of bonfires were the only light in the darkness.
In a larger beast-hide tent.
"The demon tribe has countless strong individuals who can fight a thousand alone. How could goblins possibly challenge them?"
"Indeed, the gap between the two sides is too vast, it's impossible."
The tent was sowhat dim.
Only a basin fire burned in the corner.
A centaur, a gnoll, and a mber of the Pign tribe sat facing each other.
Their faces flickered in and out of view in the firelight.
The gnoll was about two ters tall, covered in fur.
It looked like an upright beast.
Except its legs were more human-like.
The Pign tribe mber was a big guy, nearly 3 ters tall.
He had a huge belly, and his limbs were thick and strong.
His head resembled a pig's, but only the ears and nose did.
Other features were more human-like.
