Chapter 42: Psionic Crystal

“Big brother, what do we do now?” Lin Ke asked worriedly, looking at Lin Zhichen. “Setting up a base is tough.”

Attacking a base could attract a large swarm of NPC fleets, leaving no room for developnt.

“Then we’ll change the plan. One ‘Qinyuan’ isn’t enough, so we’ll have two, three!” Lin Zhichen said through gritted teeth.

“What?” Lin Ke was almost dumbfounded, not expecting such an answer.

Could there really be more psionic warships? Even the Federation wanted these things!

“I brought you out here for this purpose,” Lin Zhichen said, closing his eyes. Seeing this, Lin Ke cald down and waited for what was to co.

The air in the command cabin began to ripple slightly, and a massive crystal, over a person tall, slowly materialized, taking up almost half of the command cabin. The spacious area imdiately beca crowded.

“This is…” Lin Ke’s eyes nearly popped out at the sight of this fantastical scene. How did such a large crystal suddenly appear?

A few days ago, after the new month’s instance refresh, a brand new world, “Superpower Unleashed,” erged.

At the mont the instance took shape, Lin Zhichen, as a semi-“Creator God,” learned the world’s “plot.”

It involved three lucky individuals who found a strange crystal in a pit. Upon touching it, they awakened telekinetic abilities.

What should have been a heartwarming urban hero legend turned into a tragedy because the protagonist, Andrew, had suffered from dostic abuse since childhood and was introverted. The story evolved into a disaster, with only one of the three surviving, and that survivor was pursued by the governnt after revealing their superpowers.

After erging from the subspace of “Superpower Unleashed,” a mysterious crystal sphere with a diater of over two ters appeared in the cabin of the “Qinyuan”.

“Civilization Relic* Psionic Crystal (Red)

Passive Effects: 1: Within a one-kiloter radius centered on the Psionic Crystal, psionic cultivation speed is increased by 300%.

2: Within a one-kiloter radius, psionic energy consumption is reduced by 90%.

Activation Effect: Transforms a toucher into a psionic user.

Cooldown Ti: 3 months.”

“What a treasure!” Lin Zhichen couldn’t help but smile as he looked at the Psionic Crystal.

The active effect could be triggered once every three months, allowing one person to be transford into a psionic user. Even if used to awaken army soldiers, it would result in four psionic users in a year.

The best part was that it could be actively triggered, allowing for the selection of specific individuals for awakening. Imagine those who were already exceptionally talented—if they were to awaken psionic abilities, how extraordinary would their potential beco?

This was a tool to elevate the upper limits of civilization!

Before the Yang God cultivation thod produced significant results, this was the only way for the teor rcenary Group to acquire psionic users.

“Big… big brother, what is this?” Lin Ke stamred.

“This is a Civilization Relic, a Psionic Crystal. It can awaken one person as a psionic user every three months!” Lin Zhichen replied with a smile.

“Civilization Relic?” Lin Ke gradually cald down, his brain resuming its ability to think, and then he exclaid, “It’s actually a relic?!”

Most people’s understanding of Civilization Relics ca from fragnted rumors on the star network. Naturally, there were many speculations about such treasures that could impact an entire civilization, but in fact, most of these were re conjectures.

Lin Zhichen revealed the attribute list of the Psionic Crystal to Lin Ke. The abilities of this seemingly unremarkable crystal sphere left him stunned.

“Big brother, I… I…” Realizing the significance, Lin Ke’s voice beca stamred.

“Go ahead, place your hand on the crystal,” Lin Zhichen encouraged with a smile.

Steadying himself, Lin Ke placed his trembling hands on the crystal.

“Buzz~”

Upon being touched by a living being, the crystal, which appeared to be of poor quality and filled with impurities, imdiately emitted almost tangible psionic energy, rippling like water waves.

The powerful psionic energy enveloped Lin Ke, turning the entire space into a blur, like murky water.

Lin Zhichen felt the imnse psionic energy gathering but not yet releasing, constantly perating Lin Ke’s body.

At this mont, Lin Ke didn’t look well. His face was pale, as if he had lost a lot of blood.

But Lin Zhichen wasn’t worried. To gain abilities comparable to or even surpassing the Yang God in a short ti, how could there not be a price to pay?

A little pain is all it takes. Endure it, and it will pass.

Sure enough, just ten minutes after the initiation ceremony, the vast tide of psionic energy receded as quickly as it had co, revealing Lin Ke’s weakened figure.

His legs gave way, and he almost fell to the ground, but Lin Zhichen caught him. “How do you feel?”

“I feel amazing…” Lin Ke’s pale face showed a hint of a smile. Awakening his psionic abilities, he saw the world in a completely different light. He could perceive the tiniest corners of the ship’s cabin, the faint force field of the gravity generator on the tal floor, and the subtle flow of energy within the ship’s structure.

This was a completely different experience from before. For the first ti, he felt the life pulse of the “Qinyuan,” a form entirely distinct from normal life.

“I feel like the Qinyuan is greeting ,” he said. “It’s amazing… So, this is the form of a psionic warship.”

“Spend more ti sensing and understanding it. Psionic energy is not just power; it is also an extension of our senses,” Lin Zhichen explained.

“It is our hands, our feet, our eyes and ears, even our nose and brain—a comprehensive extension of all our senses, and even beyond that.”

Lin Ke continued to sense carefully and then asked, “Big brother, do you have a way to obtain a second psionic warship?”

“Yes, but it will have to wait until next month,” Lin Zhichen replied. “Before we return to Earth, stay with to understand the operation of the Qinyuan. Learn how to pilot and fight with a psionic warship to maximize its combat effectiveness.”

“I understand,” Lin Ke nodded.

“Extend your psionic perception and rge it with my power,” Lin Zhichen instructed.

Lin Ke tried, and under Lin Zhichen’s guidance, a new consciousness soon erged within the psionic waves of the “Qinyuan.”

At that mont, he “saw” the interconnected thoughts of Lin Zhichen and the NPC crew mbers. He “saw” how seemingly independent individuals were unified into a single entity through psionic connections. Each person functioned as a part of a living organism, with critical information being filtered and sent to the appropriate positions every mont.

In almost a second, there were dozens of information exchanges. The crew mbers communicated, discussed, and made the most suitable decisions within a tenth of a second, then executed them in unison.

It was this incomprehensible thod that allowed the “Qinyuan” to fly at 50% light speed while maintaining safety and reliability.

“So, the psionic warship is the body, and the crew mbers serve as its limbs and organs, while the psionic users are the brain and eyes of the warship!” Understanding this, Lin Ke finally grasped the operational principle of the psionic warship. He carefully observed the changes within and tried to comprehend everything from Lin Zhichen’s perspective.
