Chapter 12: Psionic Warship

Scientists of this caliber were rare even within the Federation; each one was a treasure of civilization and couldn’t be easily found on the star network.

Lin Zhichen was only able to find so introductory information in this field because of his fleet commander privileges; beyond that, there was nothing more.

Ultimately, evolutionaries must focus on their skills. For instance, the path of a Psionic involves elevating a particular skill to the level of master or even grandmaster, and then using psionic energy to transcend it into a psionic skill. This kind of skill provides a significant enhancent to oneself, creating a clear distinction between ordinary people and Psionics.

Dr. Will was not a Psionic, yet he advanced his skills to the level of master and grandmaster. Such elites were rare even within the entire Human Federation, which span thousands of habitable planets and trillions of people.

“It seems that the training and awakening plan for my subordinates needs to be prioritized,” Lin Zhichen thought with so regret, but his words conveyed a different ssage:

“Dr. Will, you must already understand the reason behind all this. The star system you were in before was actually just a small subspace, and the vast starry sky was rely a background image. This is the real universe.

You have to leave the pond to see the ocean. If you want to build a starship capable of true long-distance voyages, this is a perfect opportunity!”

Unlike NPCs generated from cloning factories, who may vary in intelligence but uniformly lack emotional intelligence, the people brought out from instance worlds were natural humans. They had hobbies, aspirations, and were no different from the normal citizens of the Federation. Therefore, dealing with these normal people couldn’t be as simple and casual as handling NPCs.

Lin Zhichen activated the holographic projection, displaying the appointnt from the Earth Autonomous Governnt:

“As you can see, I am the Commander of the Fifth Fleet of the Earth Defense Force. I have so authority, and although we are just starting, the future will undoubtedly place us among the upper echelons of the Federation, enough to support your dreams.”

Dr. Will was silent for a mont. He looked at the information in the holographic projection, recalling everything from the instance world, as two different sets of perceptions clashed in his mind.

After a few breaths, everything beca clear. He looked at Lin Zhichen and said, “Commander, I need access to the StarNet to gain a sufficient understanding of the Federation’s technological level.”

Lin Zhichen nodded, “No problem. I will grant you my access privileges to obtain so internal materials from the Federation Academy of Sciences.”

“Thank you, Commander.” Dr. Will nodded. The technology in the instance world differed significantly from that of the Federation universe. In the short term, he needed to relearn and gain a new understanding of the Federation’s starship manufacturing.

Having settled Dr. Will’s situation, Lin Zhichen turned his attention to the last piece of loot, the Slaughter Ship Spirit.

“Slaughter Ship Spirit (Light Red)

Effect: Imbue a frigate with the spirit, transforming it into a psionic warship.

Evaluation: Subspace waste repurposed!”

The simple description made Lin Zhichen’s heart pound and his whole body heat up.

“I’m rich!”

This was his only thought at the mont.

In the new universe, starships were produced through industrial processes (even special starships like biological warships could be considered a form of industry). These starships followed the fixed attributes of their blueprint designs and served various functions.

Perhaps by coincidence or miracle, so of these starships had “co to life” under unknown circumstances. They could possess psionic abilities, release psionic skills, and even enhance allied ships.

The number of psionic warships was far fewer than that of Psionics; their creation was a rare occurrence.

According to information disclosed on the star network, the number of officially recognized psionic warships in the Federation didn’t exceed one hundred.

Among these psionic warships, most were “small fry” like destroyers and frigates. The number of psionic cruisers and psionic battleships, which could truly serve as main forces, was less than twenty. Without exception, they were all flagships of the Federation’s major fleets.

The most notable among them was the psionic Titan “Apollo.” This super flagship, over 15 kiloters in length, had an already near-perfect foundation. After becoming psionic, it had been piloted by the Federation’s legendary hero, Yang Mi’er, who had a dark gold personal template.

This powerful Tier 5 Psionic Sage once piloted the “Apollo” during the “War Horn” campaign, capturing five habitable planets from the Hottians in one fell swoop. During the campaign, he led the First Fleet to crush an enemy force ten tis their size, shaking the galaxy with his might.

This unique psionic Titan was also the current symbol of the Human Federation, a national deterrent force.

There was a long-standing saying among the major civilizations of the galaxy: not every psionic warship could beco a national deterrent force, but those that could beco such a force were invariably psionic warships.

“Everything is in place now.” Lin Zhichen smiled with satisfaction. With a perfect start, his path would be much smoother than those pioneers who had to carve out their way bit by bit in the galaxy.

Lin Zhichen took out the Slaughter Ship Spirit. It looked like a faintly glowing orb, quietly floating in the command cabin. It was visible to the naked eye but intangible, like a ghost.

While it couldn’t be touched by human hands, it could be reached by psionic energy. With a casual slap, the orb fell to the floor like a rubber ball.

On the polished alloy floor, a wave of psionic energy rapidly spread out from the point where the orb fell, enveloping the entire starship in an instant.

At that mont, in the spaceport above Earth, the radar monitoring station once again blared with piercing alarms, startling the researchers into a flurry of panic.

Soon, the sa researcher from last ti checked the information returned by the radar terminal and stood there in shock.

“Pier, what on earth is going on?” The space station supervisor hurriedly arrived at the hall and asked.

“It’s a psionic awakening… no, it’s a psionic warship! Just now, a starship suddenly awakened its psionic abilities!” Researcher Pier exclaid.

“Ah~” As soon as the words fell, the entire hall erupted in exclamations.

If the awakening of Psionics was still relatively common, then the appearance of a psionic warship was a miracle that most people would never witness in their lifeti.

“What?” The supervisor stepped forward in surprise, personally verifying the data analysis, and hurriedly asked, “Where is the location? Can we determine which starship it is? What model?”

Researcher Pier quickly operated the instrunts while answering, “The target is located in the asteroid belt. According to the main control computer’s records, it is…”

At this point, he suddenly got stuck.

“What is it?” the supervisor pressed.

“The data shows that it is a standard frigate, the flagship of the newly appointed Commander of the Earth Autonomous Governnt’s Defense Directorate Fifth Fleet, Lin Zhichen. It is reported that he just awakened half an hour ago and is currently in the Jupiter asteroid belt…” Researcher Pier replied.

“Half an hour ago? Could it be that the appearance of this psionic warship is related to the Commander’s awakening?” a nearby observing scientist pointed out.

“That… I don’t know,” Researcher Pier shrugged.
