Ah, the Witch Clan.
In other words, it was the Tower Witch causing trouble again.
Since that was the case, there was no need to pay it any attention. Everyone should just go back to what they were doing.
And so, before the world's will had even finished its announcent, many people had already silently lowered their heads and resud their respective tasks.
After all, they were already used to Witches appearing in the world's will announcents. They were numb to it—even immune.
Therefore, it wasn't worth their focus.
If there was anything worth the attention of ordinary people who were just trying their hardest to survive, it was probably that so-called Defense Value.
However, they did not care too much about sothing they had never even heard of before.
It was better to just hope that they might wake up one day and receive a randomly gifted Witch's Potion from the Tower Witch on the world channel.
At least that would actually have sothing to do with them.
But just because these ordinary people did not pay much attention did not an others would do the sa.
This was especially true for those standing on the sa level as Lan Qingyou.
Chariot: "@Tower, are you there? I need to tell you sothing."
Sun: "@Tower, I have a small matter to discuss as well."
Judgnt: "What a coincidence, too."
High Priestess: "Hurry up and confess."
Blah, blah, blah...
Following the world's will announcent, Tarot Manor beca lively once again.
All jokes aside, this was an issue regarding the construction of an entire city, and one that had gained the recognition of the world's will at that.
Having been in this world for over half a year, everyone had sowhat grasped its rules.
The world's will reigned supre, and its rewards were the best.
But the prerequisite was actually gaining its recognition.
Having the recognition of the world's will was equivalent to receiving a gold-dal certification. In a word—effective!
Therefore.
Although they had no idea what this Defense Value was, there was no doubt that it was definitely sothing good.
Tower: "I was just a bit busy."
Finally getting a reply from Lan Qingyou, everyone grew excited.
Star: "No worries, no worries. You're done now, right? Since you're done, let's talk about that city."
Emperor: "Yeah, Boss Lan, tell everyone what's going on with that city called Typhon."
Lovers: "Having advanced experience to directly copy from is so satisfying."
...
Lovers, who was Frena, spoke with great tact.
Because last ti, Lan Qingyou had similarly copied her answers.
It did not really matter though. Lan Qingyou had planned to tell them anyway; otherwise, they would definitely annoy her in the group chat all day long.
Tower: "It's actually nothing much. I just appointed a few people and built up the managent system for the Witches' Forest, that's all."
Tower: "If the Magic Desk hadn't prompted , I wouldn't have even bothered coming up with a city na. Just calling it the Witches' Forest would have been perfectly fine."
Tower: "You guys have no idea how hard it was for to co up with this na."
Chariot: "'Nothing much,' 'just,' 'that's all'... Your humblebragging has reached a whole new level."
Orff was not the only one who could not stomach Lan Qingyou's remarks; the others felt the exact sa way.
Humblebragging?
This was completely taking advantage of a situation and acting innocent about it, but they could not even complain. They just had to endure it.
Eventually, soone asked a slightly more serious question.
Magician: "@Tower, what is that Defense Value thing?"
Tower: "I'm not sure. My people are currently observing it."
If this had been the past, Lan Qingyou would have been more than happy to share.
But now that the situation likely involved competing for population, she very "tactfully" dodged the question.
Seeing her answer, the others did not suspect a thing.
After all, there were still many unknown things waiting to be explored on the Kalim Continent. No one could guarantee that another person would absolutely know the answer.
Or rather, it was already good enough that Lan Qingyou could answer exactly how she had triggered the announcent in the first place.
And so.
Upon learning that they needed to build an administrative system, the group imdiately got to work.
To be on the safe side, they even requested a copy of Lan Qingyou's appointnt docunt, planning to use it as a template.
Seeing their enthusiasm, a helpless Lan Qingyou could only ask Diana to draft so blank docunts—stripping them of the Witches' nas and titles—to send over.
In reality, it was not as if their cities lacked appointed personnel handling various duties.
However, none of their structures were as comprehensive as the one Diana had produced.
Thus, as soon as they received the blank docunt from Lan Qingyou, they began studying it carefully.
But one look was enough to give them a fright.
Good heavens!
They could even see a position like "Minister of Tourism" listed on it!
Wait a minute.
There were clearly still many people struggling on the edge of life and death right now, yet the Witches had already started developing a tourism industry?
Or was the developnt of their own cities simply too slow?
Indeed, a Minister of Tourism was among Diana's nominations, though it might differ slightly from what everyone imagined.
This "tourism" was not the kind of sightseeing and leisurely travel known back on Blue Star.
Rather, it ant "traveling to find suitable habitats for the Witches."
At first, Lan Qingyou had not understood it either. It was only after listening to Diana's explanation that she found it perfectly logical.
For whatever reason, with the exception of a small minority, the Witches did not really enjoy living huddled together in large groups.
To them, if it were not for the necessity of collaborative research, even gathering in groups of three to five, or a dozen, would be impossible.
The ideal lifestyle was for each of them to find a secluded spot to hunker down, run experints, and do research, living simple and happy lives.
Furthermore, so research could not be completed within The Abandoned Land.
Thus, this departnt was born.
Coincidentally, there were indeed so Witches who disliked staying in one place. They loved running around, traveling everywhere to admire the mountains, rivers, and scenery.
Therefore, Diana assigned them the task of finding suitable habitats.
And that was how the Tourism Departnt ca to be.
Of course, aside from all this, there was another crucial reason.
Diana wanted to give the Witches a legitimate excuse to travel to other regions.
After all, since Autonomous Domains had already been established, migrating to soone else's Autonomous Domain would require so sort of justification.
And conducting research was an excellent excuse.
Who didn't know that the Witch Clan was a bunch of fanatics obsessed with research? It made perfect sense. It all held up.
The reason they needed to do this was entirely to gather intelligence.
Yes, among these Witches heading out to live abroad were mbers of the Patrol Team, under the jurisdiction of Nangong Lengyue.
After all, The Abandoned Land was large enough, and its terrain complex and varied enough, to satisfy the research needs of most Witches.
Naturally, it was not like all of them were from the Patrol Team. In truth, a portion of them really were going out just to conduct research.
A mix of truth and deception. Blended together, even Lan Qingyou's Analysis Magic Eye would have a hard ti deciphering it.
And right while this group was busy studying Diana's list, a massive carnival was underway back in the Witches' Forest.
