Having obtained the resources, Lan Qingyou naturally did not hold back.

She invested everything into the upgrade.

After clicking confirm, Lan Qingyou quickly scanned the tier-six facilities displayed on the screen.

The Ancient Tree Lair, Large Thermostatic Herb Warehouse, Large Ore Warehouse, Large General Warehouse, Large Herb Field, Large Alchemy Workshop, and other facilities she desired were all listed impressively.

However, only being able to select three facilities to upgrade at once was a bit painful.

Lan Qingyou scratched her head.

To be honest, it was a difficult choice.

As an adult, she naturally wanted all of them.

But the problem was that the Shelter did not allow it, and the will of the world would not allow it either.

The Large Thermostatic Herb Warehouse was definitely her first choice. That went without saying. After all, it maintained a constant temperature, and herbs needed exactly that kind of environnt to be stored properly.

A Large Herb Field was also a necessity, otherwise the sludge she had already spread out would be difficult to manage later.

The regular warehouse and the ore warehouse could be put on hold for now.

After all, one was for storing tal ingots and the other was for storing golems. Neither of those things could "expire."

Lan Qingyou felt sowhat conflicted about the remaining two options.

She naturally wanted the Ancient Tree Lair as well. Even though taable flying creatures were not particularly useful to her right now, they were still tamable monsters. Who knew, they might co in handy in the future.

As for the Large Alchemy Workshop, that was the simple factory building she had assembled previously.

Inside it, Lan Qingyou had set down several different tal alchemy setups. Now that the upgrade system had recognized it, it had transford into a Large Alchemy Workshop.

That made perfect sense.

If she had to choose... Ultimately, Lan Qingyou went with the Alchemy Workshop.

After all, the Ancient Tree Lair seed like sothing she could just let grow on its own, whereas golems were sothing she needed to start manufacturing imdiately.

From now on, whether it was brewing potions or farming the fields, she would need the golems to lend a hand.

Otherwise, how could she ever achieve mass production?

Having made her choice, Lan Qingyou imdiately clicked confirm, and the tier-six upgrade began.

[Ding! Congratulations to the individual nad "Lan Qingyou" from the Abandoned Forest in District 666 for being the first to upgrade a Shelter to tier six. You have obtained one self-selected reward. Please keep up the good work.]

"It's truly been a while."

"It hasn't been that long. The Witch was just on the global announcent recently."

"I was talking about the Shelter. Hasn't it been about two months since the last upgrade to tier five?"

"I guess you could say it just gets harder the higher you go?"

"Hard doesn't even begin to cover it. It's an absolute nightmare. Do you have any idea how many materials are needed for tier six?"

"What, are you trying to show off how smart you are?"

"Huh?"

"How the hell would I not know how many materials tier six needs? Who needs you yapping about it?"

"Fuck off, I was kindly reminding you, and you curse at ?"

"Cut the bullshit. Who do you think you're fooling?"

"Alright, alright. Good dog, keep barking. I just wonder if you bark this nicely in real life."

"Bring it on. I'll be waiting for you right here at the Great Reef."

This district was always like this. People would be at each other's throats within two sentences.

However, this did not affect Lan Qingyou's mood as she picked out her items.

She skipped straight past the skills and tools, opting to check the books instead. After all, one could hardly expect her to take any interest in a bunch of D-rank trash.

In the end, Lan Qingyou selected a miscellaneous book titled "Illustrated Guide to Continental Monster Anatomy".

This item wasn't bad. Reading it should increase her level of monsterology knowledge.

Although it was not quite as good as performing the dissections herself, it would at least give her a general understanding.

After finishing her selections, Lan Qingyou went downstairs to assess the situation.

Thanks to the upgrade, everything that had been previously destroyed in the Shelter was now fully repaired. After doing a quick patrol, Lan Qingyou took a shower and went to bed.

The continuous flurry of activity over the past period had finally co to an end.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with getting a good rest.

Though, calling it "resting" rely ant lying in bed and reading a book.

After all, this was the extent of the "leisure" activities available to Lan Qingyou, but she thoroughly enjoyed it.

The next day, Lan Qingyou began moving her living space from the fifth floor up to the sixth floor, taking the opportunity to organize the bookshelves on the fourth floor along the way.

Afterward, she went outside to see exactly what the tier-six upgrade had changed.

In truth, there wasn't much to see.

The herb field had transford into a proper plantation, and the originally simple wooden factory building had now rged completely with the giant trees next to it.

The warehouses remained warehouses, but whether they were for storing herbs or tal ingots, each one was now as large as the Shelter itself, and they were all located on the sixth floor.

It might have been Lan Qingyou's imagination.

She couldn't shake the feeling that the giant tree of her Shelter seed a tiny bit taller than the other four trees.

However, the giant tree of the Shelter was situated on a gentle slope to begin with.

Perhaps it had always been a little taller.

Having never paid close attention to this before, Lan Qingyou chalked it up to the terrain.

This was probably her newly acquired geographical knowledge at work.

But if she had to point out the biggest visual change at a glance, it would be the scattered rocks beneath the Shelter's giant tree, which had now ford into a stone wall.

Although it was rough and unpolished, it was undoubtedly a stone wall.

Not only was it four stories high, but even the interior walls of the fourth and fifth floors, which had originally been made of wood, had turned into solid stone. Even the height of the first-floor exit seed to have lowered a bit.

It seed the system was truly determined to turn the original Tree Hole Shelter into a towering stone structure.

Still, this arrangent seed quite nice.

After all, she was the Witch of the High Tower.

By the ti she finished her patrol and categorized the materials agreed upon with the Supre Council into the warehouse, it was nearly noon.

While waiting to eat, Lan Qingyou took out the three glass bottles containing the Sap of Knowledge, the Sap of War, and the Sap of Gale.

Although she had used the Sap of Knowledge before, it had been mixed and brewed into a potion, so it didn't really count as directly consuming the Sap of Knowledge.

The people in the villa had probably all consud it by now, so she couldn't afford to fall behind.

Thinking this, Lan Qingyou used a dropper to extract a single drop of the Sap of Knowledge and squeezed it into her mouth.

It was a bit bitter.

But it was tree sap, after all. Being a raw extract without any additives, it was only natural for it to taste bitter.

About half a minute later, while Lan Qingyou was still savoring the aftertaste, new knowledge that did not originally belong to her blood in her mind.

It was geographical knowledge regarding the Kalim Continent.

She couldn't exactly say it was useless, but it was rely better than nothing.

However, this kind of thing was just like a lottery—thrilling, but highly likely to end in disappointnt.

Washing the dropper, Lan Qingyou moved on to try the Sap of War, an item she held even less hope for.

Like she had said before, lee skills were genuinely useless to her.

After dropping a single drop onto her tongue, she opened her personal profile to take a look, only to discover she had gained a new skill called Black Witch Smoke.

[Black Witch Smoke (S)]

[Effect: Consu 100 Mana Points to summon a smoke as brilliant as starlight around yourself, providing strong defensive capabilities. Maintaining the smoke costs 1 Mana Point per second.]
