I finished looking over all the Genes.

’So of these Genes are really good.’

’It’s a sha I didn’t get all the Sli Genes this ti.’

’There must be other good ones.’

’I’ll worry about that later when I get another chance.’

The task at hand was to give the won their Improvents!

First, he activated Transplantation.

He selected three targets: Soft Body, Super-speed Self-Healing, and Healing Fluid.

He then transferred the Improvent Points and compatibility from Self-Healing, Poisonous Glands, and Cold Resistance respectively.

The final result was:

Soft Body: 1 Improvent Point, 99% compatibility.

Super-speed Self-Healing: 3 Improvent Points, 88% compatibility.

Healing Fluid: 1 Improvent Point, 100% compatibility.

Self-Healing: 5 Improvent Points, 75% compatibility.

Poisonous Glands: 20 Improvent Points, 3% compatibility.

Cold Resistance: 20 Improvent Points, 10% compatibility.

The first three Genes were very strong.

The last three, however, were useless.

But even trash could be repurposed.

Racial Bloodlines could be broken down into Improvent Points, and Genes could be as well, though they yielded fewer points.

He began breaking them down imdiately.

A confirmation prompt popped up from the system:

[Are you sure you wish to break down the Cold Resistance Gene?]

Confirm.

[You have received 10 Improvent Points.]

’Excellent!’

The Improvent Points gained from breaking down a Gene were half of its point requirent.

He had set Cold Resistance’s requirent to 20 points, so breaking it down yielded 10.

Ti to break down more!

Breaking down Poisonous Glands yielded another 10 Improvent Points.

But he didn’t break down Self-Healing.

After all, it still had 75% compatibility. He could transfer its points later when he found other Genes with low compatibility.

He now had a total of 23 Improvent Points.

’I won’t have to worry about Improvent Points the next ti I get a Racial Bloodline.’

Next, he began the Improvents for the won.

First up was Tang Ruan.

[You have selected the Super-speed Self-Healing Improvent for your subordinate Tang Ruan. This will consu 3 Improvent Points with an 88% success rate. Confirm?]

Confirm!

[Improvent in progress... Success!]

[Tang Ruan has successfully obtained the Super-speed Self-Healing Gene.]

Of course it succeeded. 88% compatibility ant an 88% success rate.

’It would have been terribly unlucky to fail.’

Next was Gu Qing.

[Improvent in progress... Success!]

[Gu Qing has successfully obtained the Healing Fluid Gene.]

Finally, it was ti for the all-Race Improvent.

The interface was the sa.

[Improvent in progress... Success!]

[The Peach Blossom Human Race has successfully obtained the Soft Body Gene.]

All Modifications were complete.

Now, all the won of the Peach Blossom Human Race would have much softer bodies and greatly enhanced Resilience.

All tactical maneuvers would be much easier to perform.

At the sa ti, they would all take 20% less Impact Damage.

Gu Qing’s Treatnt had beco even stronger.

In addition to her normal Healing Skills, she could now also provide Treatnt using her bodily fluids.

Moreover, the fluid-based Treatnt was instantaneous.

This pushed her healing Ability even further.

Even if her Spiritual Power was completely depleted, she could still provide sustained Treatnt for a long ti.

And if she herself were injured, she could use her own blood to heal.

Tang Ruan could take more hits now.

Besides benefiting from the racial Improvent of a Soft Body, Super-speed Self-Healing would allow her to constantly recover Life.

Ceaselessly, without end.

Zhao Chi was looking over the data when Tang Ruan suddenly pushed the door open and ca in.

She was holding skewers of half-cooked at.

"Lord, what happened? How did I get so strong?"

Tang Ruan’s expression was a mixture of shock and pleasant surprise.

Her eyes shone, and her lips were spread in a happy grin.

Zhao Chi smiled. "It’s a Genetic Improvent. I specifically chose this direction for you. What do you think? Does it suit you?"

"Of course! It suits perfectly! You’ve given so many surprises today."

Tang Ruan tossed the skewers out the door and rushed over, holding up two greasy hands.

"Grease, there’s grease!"

Zhao Chi pointed at her hands.

But Tang Ruan paid him no mind and threw herself at Zhao Chi.

She pressed her soft Body against him.

"Thank you, my Lord!"

Tang Ruan didn’t seem to know how to hug properly.

She wrapped her arms and legs around Zhao Chi.

Zhao Chi was surprised by the sudden, fragrant embrace, but he didn’t mind.

’What’s a little grease?’

They held each other for a mont.

Tang Ruan lifted her head, climbing up to look down at Zhao Chi.

"My Lord, why are you so good to ?"

Tang Ruan was less than two inches from his face.

Her warm breath washed over Zhao Chi’s face.

Strands of her hair fell and brushed against his cheek.

Zhao Chi was at a loss for words.

He had done all this mainly so that Tang Ruan could take more hits.

But this was definitely not the right ti to say that.

So, Zhao Chi said, "You have a great personality, you’re beautiful, and you’re serious and hardworking in everything you do. That’s the kind of woman I like most. I think you’re worth investing in and giving my all for..."

The more Tang Ruan listened, the more satisfied she beca.

Her face now wore an expression of pure bliss.

Zhao Chi was still talking, but Tang Ruan interrupted him.

"Mhm, I believe you!"

Suddenly, the system chid in at an inopportune mont:

[Tang Ruan’s Affinity has increased. Current Level: Romantic Sentints.]

(Romantic Sentints: Tier Two Affinity. When using Skills on her, their Effect increases by 40%.)

’Tier Two Affinity already?’

In just one day, Tang Ruan’s Affinity had skyrocketed.

Her Loyalty, however, didn’t increase this ti. It was still at 7 points, the Heart-to-Heart Level.

’It seems getting to 8 points of Loyalty won’t be easy.’

"Huh? My Lord, did you get distracted?"

"Oh, no. It’s just my first ti seeing you be so forward. I was a bit dazed."

Tang Ruan smiled, pushed herself up, and got off of Zhao Chi.

"You don’t mind, do you, my Lord?"

"Of course I don’t."

"Hee hee, that’s good."

After she said that, they both fell silent.

It was clear Tang Ruan had a lot she wanted to say, but she didn’t know how to put it into words.

She just stared intently at Zhao Chi.

The once-shy Tang Ruan had now beco surprisingly aggressive, as if her gaze alone could lt Zhao Chi.

Zhao Chi’s gaze flickered away.

"Um... Tang Ruan."

"Yes, my Lord!"

"Now that you all have the Soft Body Gene, has your Body gotten softer?

"It has. Couldn’t you feel it when I was hugging you?"

Zhao Chi chuckled. "I’ve never hugged you before, so I don’t know what your Body was like originally. I just thought you were always this soft."

"Then you should hug again."

Tang Ruan pounced on him again.

Zhao Chi laughed. "Let squeeze your arm."

"Oh, okay."

Tang Ruan held out her arm.

The flesh on her arm was very soft.

He could clearly feel the shape of the bone beneath, but her bones hadn’t softened; they were still hard.

Zhao Chi squeezed her arm, his gaze uncontrollably drifting toward her chest.

’I hope they didn’t get droopy, did they?’

Tang Ruan saw where he was looking and said shyly, "You can squeeze them too, to see if they’ve gotten any softer."

"That... wouldn’t be right, would it?"

"Oh..." Tang Ruan thought for a mont. "But didn’t you want to check if there were any changes, my Lord? If you don’t check, how can you be sure?"

Huh?

’What a great reason!’

Zhao Chi murmured, "Right, that makes sense. Should I... give it a try?"

Tang Ruan bit her lip. "Mhm, give it a try."

After saying that, she switched to her costic outfit.
