"How do you all feel about this training match? If we haven’t reached the level of familiarity, we still have ti for additional matches."

Tang Xuanze asked the three children.

Rosen and Tang Xichen nodded, while Xu Chen hesitated before nodding along.

This ti, the match barely gave him a chance to interact with Tang Xichen; to him, the training match was insignificant.

He really wanted to suggest a solo training match with Tang Xichen but held back because Tang Xichen had just shaken her head in response.

"Pretty good. I’m quite satisfied with your performance this ti, especially Rosen, who showed so cleverness. It’s enough to handle the Lord Dominance Competition," Tang Xuanze said with a smile.

"I have a question." Rosen had been thinking about sothing strange but hadn’t asked. Now seed like the perfect opportunity.

"Go ahead, clarify before the competition."

"The Lord Dominance Competition doesn’t restrict major players, so if Nangong Wan participates, do we really stand a chance of winning?"

As soon as Rosen asked, a hint of sarcasm appeared on Xu Chen’s face.

Before Xu Chen could mock Rosen, Tang Xuanze explained in advance, "The current situation in the Central Plains is tense. The major figures on the front lines not only have to face invasions from the Demon Race but must also battle strong contenders from abroad. Everyone tacitly agreed not to participate, leaving mainly the mid-level lords interested in the competition."

Even Tang Xuanze himself wouldn’t compete; even if he wanted to clear obstacles for his daughter, he had to consider the issue of saving face.

Since all the bigshots abstain from the competition so can’t Tang Xuanze. Otherwise, if it were known he deployed a clone to compete, he would be backbitten behind the scenes.

Originally, sending a clone to protect Tang Xichen already showed personal bias, and during a national crisis, it could be criticized as a personal conduct issue.

"Stay in the Tang Family for the next two days to avoid interception by other families before the Lord Dominance Competition. For the sake of their reputations, those prominent families can do anything," Tang Xuanze said.

He continued, "Once, in a year, a major family perford a switching act, intercepting and kidnapping the rival family’s competitors midway, replacing them with their own arranged individuals, deliberately underperforming in the competition, causing the opponent to lose."

"Won’t the switching be discovered?" Rosen asked.

"No, because the replacents have territories of the sa type and use human skin masks and voice changers. Unless there’s a deliberate inspection, it’s impossible to notice the players have been replaced. Even these professional substitutes have undergone specialized training; their parents couldn’t tell their children were disguised even if they were present."

Tang Xuanze’s words left Rosen astonished.

Even their own parents couldn’t recognize them.

Such level of technology made Rosen feel quite unfamiliar with this world.

"This is nothing. So major families abroad had previously disguised themselves as dostic bigshots, where the actual bigshots had already been kidnapped and secretly killed. The stand-in lived under the bigshot’s identity for three years, only to die in a duel eventually."

Xu Chen took the opportunity to speak, trying to show off his knowledge in front of Tang Xichen.

"How did he get exposed? Was he too weak and got killed in the duel? Knowing he was weak, why participate in the duel?" Rosen casually asked.

Xu Chen’s eyes flashed a hint of disdain and said, "It’s simple. That bigshot had a lifelong rival, and every three years, they would duel. The stand-in was simply unlucky to have such a disguise target."

"How unfortunate for him," Rosen sighed.

The Tang Family’s swimming pool.

This swimming pool isn’t small; it’s probably as large as a school’s football field, enough to host a grand competition.

Only two figures were floating within the imnse swimming pool.

The two were quite far from each other, staring at each other from a distance, with a hint of animosity on their faces.

Xu Chen leaned against the railing on one side, his lower body floating in the water, and said coldly, "I know you’re approaching Xichen with an agenda, but with here, sothing between you and Xichen is impossible."

Upon hearing Xu Chen’s odd words, Rosen was a bit at a loss for a response.

In the virtual mission, he had already taught Xu Chen a lesson; he wasn’t that angry at this suddenly erging guy.

In comparison, his acquaintance with Tang Xichen was the shortest. From Tang Xichen’s own words, Xu Chen was her childhood friend.

Well, they only knew each other in childhood, and their fathers were friends; they hadn’t even played in the mud together.

Seeing Rosen remain silent, Xu Chen was slightly displeased and continued, "Compared to , you’re just a lowly commoner; your status doesn’t suit the Tang Family. The Tang Patriarch knows this well, so even if he appreciates you, he won’t allow you to have a deep relationship with Xichen. In my view, you’ll probably be recruited into the Tang Family in the future as a strong individual, while I’ll beco the future heir of the Tang Family. You’ll essentially be one of my henchn. Haha, so you’d better recognize reality in advance; everyone’s origin determines their fate."

Listening to Xu Chen’s nonsensical speech made Rosen lose the last trace of goodwill towards him.

Just then.

Under Xu Chen’s gaze, Rosen suddenly disappeared from the water’s surface.

"Is this guy too ashad to show his face and subrged himself underwater?" Xu Chen speculated maliciously.

Unexpectedly, in the next mont, a pair of hands grabbed his ankles, dragging him forcefully underwater!

Rosen’s head surfaced, while his hands pressed Xu Chen’s head underwater.

"Kid, I’m just a commoner, yet I can get rid of you anyti; where does your confidence co from?"

Xu Chen’s limbs struggled, but Rosen’s strength far exceeded his, and this force made Xu Chen feel that he couldn’t resist even if he transford into his hero form.

Moreover, assuming the hero form in the pool would surely earn him Patriarch Tang’s disdain.

This situation was at best just a minor scuffle.

After struggling for over ten seconds, Xu Chen recovered from his initial panic and executed a backflip, clamping Rosen’s neck with his legs to reverse the situation.

He underestimated Rosen’s strength, who lifted him out of the water and slamd him back down forcefully!

The mont his head hit the water, he almost felt concussed, and simultaneously, his limbs began to go limp, entering a brief daze.

Rosen let go, leaving Xu Chen floating face up on the water, in stunned silence.

"Is this what you call the prowess of a prestigious family? Nothing more than this," Rosen swam to the railing and, like Xu Chen earlier, let his lower body float in the water, "It’s indeed comfortable."

Just then, barefooted footsteps approached. Rosen looked over and saw Tang Xichen in a one-piece swimsuit.

"Whoa, even the Tang Goddess is swimming; such a nice figure..."
